Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Zhao Rong nodded and smiled at Xuelian. ”Xuelian, I didn’t realize your math was so good,” he said. ”I’m surprised you could make such a precise and quick calculation.”

Xuelian said humbly, ”No matter how capable I am, I’m nothing compared to Brother Zhao Rong.”

When Lili heard that Zhao Rong had an extra seventy tons of gold, she said in amazement, ”Brother Zhao Rong, you’ve struck it rich!”

Yu Lan congratulated him as well, saying, ”Brother, you truly are a favored son of heaven. You not only completed this mission brilliantly, but you also gained seventy tons of gold.”

Even Zhao Rong himself hadn’t anticipated it. ”Honestly, I never expected to get this extra seventy tons of gold,” he admitted. ”I was only thinking that since I’d accepted the chairman’s employment fee and all those rewards, I had to complete my mission. As for making money or finding an unexpected windfall, I never even considered it.

”But things are always so unpredictable and full of surprises. These seventy tons of gold truly astounded me.”

Yu Lan encouraged him, saying, ”Brother, didn’t you say before that you wanted to use all the money you earned to set up a foundation to help the old, weak, sick, disabled, and anyone else in need?”

”Brother, you were able to obtain these seventy tons of gold because you’ve always had a heart for helping others,” Xuelian said, moved. ”You have a kind soul and are always thinking about giving back to society and serving your country. That must be why heaven allowed you to acquire this treasure.”

Zhao Rong nodded, speaking of his dream. ”Once I have enough wealth, I’ll return to Earth and establish a massive foundation. I’ll help all the hungry people, all those without warm clothes or enough to eat.

”I want everyone to live prosperous, happy lives, free from poverty, hunger, suffering, and tears.”

When the three women heard Zhao Rong’s grand aspirations, they were so moved that they wept.

Lili praised him, saying, ”Brother Zhao Rong, you truly live by the principle of being the first to worry about the world’s troubles and the last to enjoy its pleasures. You’re always thinking of others.”

Yu Lan gave him a thumbs up. ”Brother, your heart is truly immense. The three of us should really learn from you—learn your beautiful virtues of selflessness and your desire to give back to society and help everyone.”

Xuelian rushed forward and hugged Zhao Rong tightly. Looking up at him with admiration, she said, ”Brother Zhao Rong, an outstanding man like you truly deserves to have every woman in the world go crazy for you.”

Just as everyone was praising him, Zhao Rong suddenly realized his assistant was missing. He looked around, but after searching the area, he still couldn’t see him.

Curiously, he asked the three women, ”By the way, Lili, Yu Lan, Xuelian, when you used the time-space traveler to send the assistant away, did you press the red button?”

Hearing the words ”red button,” Lili was completely confused. ”What red button?” she asked. ”When we teleported the assistant, we just pressed the first button.”

Yu Lan recalled their procedure and said, ”Brother Zhao Rong, I think the first button was black. We only pressed the black button once, and it teleported the assistant away. We definitely didn’t press any so-called red button.”

Xuelian was even more baffled. ”As long as we got him from that dangerous space to a safe one, that’s all that matters, right? Why would we need to press a red button? Isn’t that just overcomplicating things?”

When Zhao Rong heard that the three of them hadn’t pressed the red button, his eyes widened in terror. ”Lili, Yu Lan, Xuelian, you can’t be serious! When you use the time-space traveler to teleport someone, if you don’t press the red button and only press the black one, you send them straight to the Eighteen Levels of Hell!”

Hearing this, Lili burst out laughing. In disbelief, she said, ”Brother Zhao Rong, what are you talking about? Are you saying that the three of us unwittingly transported the assistant from one dangerous space into an even more dangerous one—the Eighteen Levels of Hell?”

Yu Lan pictured the scenes she had seen in ”The Legend of White Snake.” ”Brother Zhao Rong, what are the Eighteen Levels of Hell like?” she asked. ”Is it like in the show, when Bai Suzhen went there to save Xu Xian? Are there lots of Black and White Impermanence, Oxhead and Horseface, and King Yan sitting at his judgment desk, sentencing the souls who arrive from the mortal realm?”

Xuelian gasped, a shiver running down her spine. ”Oh my god... I thought the time-space traveler was just a fun, convenient gadget for getting from one place to another. I never imagined it could be so dangerous!” She shuddered. ”The more you think about it, the more terrifying it becomes. Who could have known this thing could send someone from a safe space straight to the Eighteen Levels of Hell?”

Zhao Rong explained to the three women, ”Lili, Yu Lan, when you tried to send the assistant from that dangerous space to Earth, your intentions were good, but you’ve doomed him. Right now, he’s definitely in the Eighteen Levels of Hell, being judged by King Yan and suffering all kinds of torments.”

Thinking of the tortures in the underworld, Lili broke out in a cold sweat. Horrified, she said, ”A person like the assistant, who did nothing but bad deeds in the mortal world, will definitely be judged harshly. He’ll be sentenced to climb the mountain of knives, descend into the sea of fire, or even be deep-fried...”

Yu Lan sighed, pitying the assistant. ”I can just imagine him now, down in the Eighteen Levels of Hell, crying for his mom and dad, filled with extreme pain, regret, and utter helplessness.”

Just as everyone was feeling sad for the assistant, Xuelian suddenly burst out laughing. ”Hahaha!” She looked at Zhao Rong, Lili, and Yu Lan. ”Well, if we were able to send the assistant to the Eighteen Levels of Hell, then we should be able to get him out! That’s how we’ll save him.”

With that, she turned her gaze to Zhao Rong. ”Brother, quickly, think of a way to get the assistant out of the Eighteen Levels of Hell! If we don’t do something, he’ll definitely die in there.”
