Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

When Zhao Rong felt his car hit something, he immediately slammed on the brakes. ”Oh no,” he exclaimed in panic, ”our car must have hit someone...”

His assistant, sitting in the passenger seat, saw the windshield was covered in blood. ”This is bad, Zhao Rong!” he stammered in terror. ”You must have killed someone... Otherwise, there wouldn’t be so much blood on our windows...”

The three women in the back were so frightened they huddled together. Staring into the pitch-black Qinling Tunnel, they asked fearfully, ”What did our car hit?”

At that moment, Zhao Rong opened the door and got out of the car. However, when he went to check what he had struck, he was stunned to find nothing there. The scene was completely empty, except for a large dent on the car’s left side and some gory flesh hanging from it. The two children he had seen standing by the wall had also vanished without a trace.

Zhao Rong stood there, dumbfounded. He scratched the back of his head and said in disbelief, ”How bizarre. It’s like I’ve seen a ghost. What on earth did my car hit?”

His assistant got out of the car as well. When he saw the fresh flesh hanging from the vehicle, a chill ran down his spine. ”Zhao Rong, you must have hit some kind of monster,” he said. ”Otherwise, there wouldn’t be this much blood and flesh...”

Just as Zhao Rong and his assistant were panicking about what they had hit, they heard a deafening roar from behind them in the tunnel. Zhao Rong spun around and saw an enormous semi-trailer truck accelerating directly toward them.

When the assistant saw the semi-trailer bearing down on them, he broke out in a cold sweat. ”Zhao Rong, we’ve been set up!” he cried in horror. ”That truck is going to crush us to pieces!”

The three women, who hadn’t dared to leave the car, saw the brightly lit semi-trailer charging toward them through the rear window. They shut their eyes, bracing for death. ”I guess you should never stop on a highway, especially in a tunnel, no matter what you hit,” one of them murmured. ”If a big truck comes from behind, there’s nowhere to run. This is the end...”

Just as the women and the assistant closed their eyes, Zhao Rong whipped out his phone with lightning speed, opened the Paradise Shopping Cart app, and bought an anti-collision sponge.

At the same time, the driver of the semi-trailer was laughing maniacally as he sped toward them. ”So you’re the ones the chairman hired to assassinate our boss, Wang Jingang! Now, I’ll make sure you die without a grave!”

He finished speaking and thought to himself, As long as my semi hits you, it doesn’t matter if it’s the car or the people inside. You’ll all be crushed to bits!

But just as the driver was certain he was about to kill Zhao Rong and his group, he suddenly felt his truck hit something soft, like a sponge, bringing it to a rapid halt. Not only did his truck stop, but the Mercedes SUV in front of it was completely unscathed. Sandwiched between the two vehicles was a massive sponge.

When the three women and the assistant realized they hadn’t died in the collision, they snapped their eyes open. They stared at the huge sponge behind the car, mystified. ”Where did this giant sponge come from?”

”Thank goodness for this sponge!” Lili said with relief. ”It absorbed the entire impact of the semi-truck. Otherwise, we’d have been crushed to a pulp.”

Yu Lan clutched her chest, feeling as if she had been snatched from the jaws of death. ”That sponge appeared out of nowhere and played a crucial role!” she said. ”It formed a perfect safety wall between our Mercedes SUV and that semi-truck.”

Xuelian got out of the car and touched the enormous sponge. She found it incredibly soft. ”Zhao Rong,” she said, ”you must have bought this from the Paradise Shopping Cart to deal with this truck, right?”

Zhao Rong nodded and smiled at the three women. ”The Paradise Shopping Cart really comes through. It has everything, and the delivery is incredibly fast. I bought this anti-collision sponge in less than a second. I can’t believe it arrived instantly to save our lives.”

The assistant marveled at the app’s delivery speed. ”Zhao Rong, the Paradise Shopping Cart must have gone through some kind of technological revolution to improve its shipping time,” he said. ”Otherwise, there’s no way this sponge could have reached us so quickly and saved us.”

”This anti-collision sponge is incredibly durable,” Lili praised. ”It can withstand the impact of several hundred tons.”

Yu Lan thought it should be promoted nationwide. ”With this sponge, we’d never have to worry about getting rear-ended on the highway again,” she said.

Xuelian looked at the unimaginably large sponge and turned to Zhao Rong with a worried expression. ”Zhao Rong, this sponge is certainly useful, but how are we supposed to store it after we’re done? It’s not disposable, is it?”

Hearing her question, Zhao Rong took out a small box. He opened it, removed a bottle of liquid, and poured a drop onto the sponge. ”You might think this sponge is huge,” he said with a smile, ”but once I apply this liquid, it’ll shrink to the size of a small block of tofu.”

As he spoke, he dripped the liquid onto the sponge. The moment the droplet landed, the massive anti-collision sponge immediately began to shrink. It contracted continuously until it was the size of a fingernail and resembled a tiny block of tofu, at which point it finally stopped.

Zhao Rong picked up the shrunken sponge, placed it in the small box, and slipped it into his pocket. He smiled at the three women and his assistant. ”There, I’ve put it away. If we ever face another rear-end collision, I’ll just open the box and toss the sponge out behind the car. This will ensure our vehicle is always safe from being damaged from behind.”
