Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Listening to the compliments from the three beauties, Zhao Rong answered humbly, ”Ladies, please don’t flatter me anymore. I’m not that impressive, really. It’s this Ghost-Beating Stick in my hand that’s truly amazing.”

Hearing this, the three women immediately took the Ghost-Beating Stick from his hand and examined it carefully. ”I never would have guessed,” one said, ”that the rolling pin Brother Zhao Rong has is actually so powerful.”

Lili, unable to put the rolling pin down, asked, ”Brother Zhao Rong, since you bought this powerful item from the Paradise Shopping Cart, could you lend it to me for a few days?”

Hearing Lili’s request to borrow his Ghost-Beating Stick, Zhao Rong asked curiously, ”Lili, what do you need this for?”

Lili answered shyly, ”Mainly... for use at night.”

Upon hearing this, Zhao Rong froze. He was suddenly reminded of all sorts of stunning scenes from those Island Country movies. A sly smile crept onto his face as he looked at Lili. ”Ah, I understand. You mean at night you get... lonely? So, you want to use this stick to... pleasure yourself, right?”

Hearing his words, Lili immediately stepped forward, punched him lightly on the chest, and said angrily, ”Brother Zhao Rong, you’re disgusting! How could you think of me as that type of person? I’m just scared of ghosts at night, so I wanted to borrow your Ghost-Beating Stick! I was going to put the stick you bought from the Paradise Shopping Cart right by my pillow. If a ghost came in the middle of the night, I’d use this invincible stick to drive it away! But you... you actually suggested I’d use it as a sex toy! You’re unbelievable!”

Realizing he had misunderstood, Zhao Rong said awkwardly, ”My apologies, Lili. You just said you needed the Ghost-Beating Stick at night... that’s what caused the confusion. In the future, you should try to be a bit clearer so I can understand what you really mean. Otherwise, it’s easy for people to get the wrong idea...” He finished with a sheepish chuckle.

Yu Lan then stepped forward, also hoping to borrow the Ghost-Beating Stick. ”Brother,” she said, ”could you lend me this stick for a while?”

Hearing that Yu Lan also wanted his Ghost-Beating Stick, Zhao Rong asked curiously, ”Yu Lan, what do you need it for? Do you also plan to keep it by your pillow to deal with evil spirits in the middle of the night?”

Yu Lan replied shyly, ”Brother, I wouldn’t use it at night... but when I take a shower.”

When Zhao Rong heard that Yu Lan wanted to use the Ghost-Beating Stick while showering, his mind immediately conjured certain scenes from those Island Country movies. As he pictured the risqué images, he teased, ”Yu Lan, don’t tell me you plan on lathering up with body wash while... pleasuring yourself with this stick?”

Hearing Zhao Rong say something so indecent, Yu Lan thumped him on the chest and said angrily, ”Brother Zhao Rong, have you watched too many dirty movies? Why are you spouting such filthy nonsense! I’ll have you know, I need it when I shower to deal with the ’living ghosts’ that crawl out of the drain!

”Lately, there’s a type of imp called a ’living ghost’ that often crawls up through the drains to peep at women while they shower. So I need this Ghost-Beating Stick to knock any of them back down the drain and stop them from spying on my body!”

Hearing that Yu Lan also needed his Ghost-Beating Stick to fight off imps, Zhao Rong had an epiphany. ”Wow,” he said, ”I had no idea there were so many ghosts in this world. It’s really mind-boggling.”

Just then, Xuelian stepped forward, also wanting to borrow the Ghost-Beating Stick. She asked, ”Brother, could you lend me that stick of yours that looks so much like a rolling pin?”

Hearing that Xuelian also wanted to borrow the stick, Zhao Rong asked her curiously, ”Xuelian, what do you need it for?”

Xuelian blushed and told him, ”Brother Zhao Rong, you see, I often go out late at night... near the adult store. So, I need this Ghost-Beating Stick for protection.”

When Zhao Rong heard her say she went to an adult store in the middle of the night, he was utterly astonished. ”Xuelian, you don’t seem like a woman with... such strong desires. Why would you go to an adult store so late? Don’t tell me you’re going to buy some... female pleasure products?”

When Xuelian realized he had completely misunderstood, she grew angry, stepped forward, and pushed him on the chest before saying coyly, ”Brother Zhao Rong, can you please let me finish before you jump to conclusions? I said I go out late at night to the skewer shop *next to* the adult store to eat! And you immediately assumed I was going to the adult store to buy... female pleasure products!”

Cold sweat dripped from Zhao Rong’s forehead as he listened to her explanation. Utterly mortified, he said, ”Xuelian, I’m so sorry. I misunderstood you again... But if you’re just going out to eat skewers, why do you need a Ghost-Beating Stick?”

Xuelian explained, ”Brother Zhao Rong, you don’t understand. The skewer shop I go to is on a street called Yin-Yang Road. It’s called that because it’s a road for both the living and the dead... for humans and ghosts.

”Every night when I go, around the witching hour, is when the ghosts are most active. That’s why I have to carry the Ghost-Beating Stick. This way, if any evil ghosts try to harass, rob, or assault me, I can use it to drive them away.

”With the Ghost-Beating Stick for protection, I’m no longer afraid of being accosted by ghosts when I go out late at night. Do you understand now, Brother?”

Finally understanding, Zhao Rong exclaimed, ”I’ll be damned! I never imagined the world we live in is actually teeming with ghosts. It’s just that we don’t normally notice them. If you pay close attention, I guess you’d find ghosts prowling all over the place.”

Just as Zhao Rong was speaking, two figures approached from a distance: Oxhead and Horseface.

When the three beauties saw them, they laughed with delight and said to Zhao Rong, ”Brother Zhao Rong, look! There are even animals in this hell!”

”Look, that horse is so cute!”

”And that cow is hilarious!”
