Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

When the three women saw Oxhead and Horseface charging toward Zhao Rong, they immediately stood in front of him in terror. ”Oxhead and Horseface, if you want to capture someone, then capture us instead! Please, we beg you, spare Zhao Rong! He’s the backbone of our team, our idol, and our dream lover! If he died, our whole world would collapse!”

As the three women moved to protect him, Zhao Rong, completely unafraid and composed, reassured them. ”Ladies, don’t worry. Although the Oxhead and Horseface before us are animals and not ghosts, I have advanced weapons to deal with creatures from the netherworld.”

With that, Zhao Rong opened his package and took out a robotic dog. He said to the women, ”Ladies, check out this cool new gadget I pulled out.”

When the women saw what looked like a toy dog running and barking chaotically on the ground, they furrowed their brows in disbelief. ”Are you kidding, Zhao Rong? Where did you find a toy for a three-year-old and just put it on the ground like that?”

Lili stepped forward and kicked the toy dog. Looking at Zhao Rong, she said, ”This is clearly just a plastic toy for kids... Are you telling me you plan to use this to fight Oxhead and Horseface?”

Zhao Rong smiled and told her, ”Lili, you’re mistaken. This isn’t a plastic toy. It’s a robotic dog specifically designed to deal with netherworld animals.”

Hearing this, Yu Lan stepped forward and ran her hand over its plastic shell. ”I don’t feel any metal at all,” she said to Zhao Rong. ”What kind of joke is this? How could this toy possibly handle the Black and White Impermanence before us?”

Zhao Rong took out his phone and opened the Paradise Shopping Cart app. He pointed to the top-selling weapon against netherworld animals and said to Yu Lan, ”Take a closer look. In the Paradise Shopping Cart, the number-one seller is none other than this robotic dog—this very piece of advanced weaponry.”

When Yu Lan saw that this unimpressive toy was actually the top seller in the Paradise Shopping Cart, she asked with curiosity, ”Could this toy dog really have some kind of magical power, enough to defeat Oxhead and Horseface?”

Xuelian asked Zhao Rong to explain its power. ”Zhao Rong, I assume you must have read the instruction manual thoroughly before buying this weapon to fight Oxhead and Horseface. So, hurry up and tell us how this thing is supposed to unleash its incredible power against them.”

Hearing Xuelian’s willingness to believe in the toy dog’s extraordinary ability, he began to explain its outrageous power. ”What you don’t know is that this type of robotic dog is made specifically to fight netherworld animals. Back when the great Maoshan Daoist was alive, he once journeyed to the netherworld. Faced with its creatures and at a loss for what to do, he created this—a Maoshan robotic dog imbued with spells.”

When the three women heard that the robotic dog in front of them was created by the Maoshan Daoist, they were utterly astonished. ”I can’t believe it! Even though this robotic dog looks worthless, it was actually created by the Maoshan Daoist. It’s truly extraordinary, with hidden depths.”

The story goes that the Maoshan Daoist once came to Hell on a mission. After defeating all the lesser ghosts, he was preparing to meet King Yan when he was blocked by Oxhead and Horseface. The Daoist was at his wit’s end. In a moment of desperation, he thought of his Heart Sutra and the Pineapple Paramita chant. As long as he recited this sutra and imbued an object with its power, he could use that object to defeat Oxhead and Horseface.

However, the Daoist searched for a long time but couldn’t find a suitable object to channel his sutra. Then, he remembered a toy dog his grandson had been playing with, which had been accidentally left in his backpack. So, the Maoshan Daoist took the toy dog out, threw it to the ground, and bestowed upon it the power of the Heart Sutra and the Pineapple Paramita chant.

From that day on, the toy dog became the most potent weapon against all kinds of animals in the underworld, especially Oxhead and Horseface. After the Maoshan Daoist passed away, he donated the robotic dog to the Paradise Shopping Cart.

This was why Zhao Rong could only rent the robotic dog, not buy it outright. He had to return it to the shop—and back to the Paradise Shopping Cart—completely intact after use. Since it was a donation from the Maoshan Daoist, it could never be bought or sold.

Zhao Rong continued, explaining the robotic dog’s insane capabilities. ”What you don’t realize is that as soon as I press the red button on this dog’s back, it will go completely berserk. It’ll become even more ferocious than a Tibetan mastiff, capable of devouring every single animal in this underworld. That includes Oxhead and Horseface—this little robotic dog will eat them alive. So, I’m still considering whether or not I should press this red button...”

When the women heard that the robotic dog would devour Oxhead and Horseface as soon as Zhao Rong pressed the red button, they excitedly surrounded it. ”Zhao Rong, since Oxhead and Horseface are blocking our way to rescue the assistant, let’s just activate the dog now! Let it get rid of them so they can’t block our path anymore!”

Lili looked at the arrogant and domineering Oxhead and Horseface across from them. She stepped forward and, while pressing the button on the robotic dog’s back, declared, ”Oxhead and Horseface, you think you’re so tough? I’m pressing this red button right now to let the robotic dog eat you. Let’s see you try to stand in our way again!”

Yu Lan followed right behind Lili, also moving to press the button. ”We have to defeat them immediately! If we wait any longer, that cauldron of oil will start boiling, and the assistant might get thrown in and deep-fried!”

Xuelian, just as anxious, joined Lili and Yu Lan in pressing the red button on the dog’s back. She shouted toward Oxhead and Horseface, ”Don’t blame us for not warning you! We’ve already pressed the red button. Now, you’re about to disappear from our sight forever!”

But when Zhao Rong saw the three women press the red button on the robotic dog’s back without his permission, he panicked. ”What have you done?! If this continues, the consequences will be disastrous!”
