Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Just as Zhao Rong was sighing, Xuelian suddenly spotted an even more sinister scene. Pointing to a spot nearby, she gasped, ”Zhao Rong, look! Over there, at the corner of the wall—a bloody hand is sticking out!”

However, just as they watched the blood-drenched hand emerge from the corner, it suddenly retracted. A spine-chilling shriek echoed from within the gas station, and then the hand vanished.

A little frightened, the assistant said, ”Brother Zhao Rong, the three ladies are right. This place is definitely strange. If I had known this gas station was haunted, I never would have suggested we stop here. We would have been better off letting the car break down on the highway and flagging someone down for gas instead of risking it at this haunted station. This was a huge mistake...”

At that moment, the sky began to darken. As dusk settled, Zhao Rong pulled several flashlights from the car and handed them out. ”Alright, this place is obviously haunted,” he said. ”We need to fill the tank and get out of here now. We can’t stay here long, or things will only get worse.”

With that, Zhao Rong walked over to the fuel pump, grabbed the nozzle, and inserted it into the car’s gas tank. To his annoyance, the pump was broken.

He drew his Damo Sword and hacked the machine open, planning to just scoop the gasoline out with a bucket and pour it into the car. But when he sliced open the fuel pump, he discovered it was bone dry—not a single drop of gasoline inside.

While Zhao Rong was fuming, his assistant pointed to an elevated storage tank in the distance. ”Brother, I bet there’s gasoline in that elevated tank over there!”

Hearing this, Zhao Rong immediately took out a remote infrared detector and scanned the tank. He was astonished to discover it was completely full.

Overjoyed, Zhao Rong exclaimed, ”I can’t believe it! There’s actually gasoline in that tank! Let’s hurry over, climb up, and get some fuel for the car.”

He started walking toward the elevated tank.

As Zhao Rong headed off, the assistant, feeling thirsty, glanced at the nearby convenience store. He turned to the three women. ”Miss Lili, Yu Lan, Xue Lan, you must be thirsty. What would you like to drink? I’ll go to the station’s store and grab some beverages for you.”

The three women were indeed a bit thirsty. They licked their lips, their eyes fixed on the variety of drinks and snacks visible inside the store. ”Okay, go ahead and get some drinks,” they told him. ”But check the expiration dates. If they’re expired, don’t bother.”

Lili, who wanted a Red Bull, said, ”Assistant, get me two cans of Red Bull. I’m feeling totally drained, and I’m sure two of those will get my energy right back up.”

Hearing Lili’s request, Yu Lan decided she wanted an energy drink as well. ”Assistant, grab me two bottles of Black Card Six-Hour,” she said.

Xuelian then gave her instructions. ”Assistant, I like a knock-off called Ice Bull. The packaging is identical to Red Bull, so you’ll have to look carefully.”

When the assistant heard their requests for Red Bull, Black Card Six-Hour, and Ice Bull, he frowned as he walked toward the store, thinking to himself. These three have really unique tastes. Even their drink choices are nothing like what other women prefer.

When he reached the store, he saw the doors were wide open, but the interior was covered in an extremely thick layer of dust. Upon entering, he saw that the shelves were still well-stocked, but it was clear no one had been there in a long time. The place felt devoid of life, and the dust was so thick that not a single footprint could be seen.

To his surprise, however, the products were not only plentiful but also had recent production dates. None of them were expired. After a quick search, the assistant found the Red Bull, Ice Bull, and Black Card Six-Hour the women had asked for. He grabbed a bottle of Scream for himself and a Pepsi for Zhao Rong.

But just as he was about to walk out with the drinks, a figure blocked his path.

”Cash, Alipay, or WeChat?” a voice asked.

The assistant didn’t think much of it and pulled his phone from his pocket. ”WeChat, of course. Who uses cash these days?”

But when he looked up from his phone, he was shocked to see a woman in white standing before him. He instinctively took a step back, his voice filled with horror. ”I thought there was no one in this gas station! Where did you come from?”

Before the assistant could finish, the woman in white floated through the air, stopping right in front of him.

Meanwhile, the three women waiting outside were growing impatient. ”Assistant!” one of them yelled toward the store. ”We’ve been waiting for over ten minutes! Have you found the drinks or not?”

Lili pulled out a megaphone and shouted, ”Assistant, if you found the drinks, bring them out! If you couldn’t find Red Bull, just get a few bottles of mineral water! Remember, I like the two-yuan Wahaha mineral water or the three-yuan Baisui Shan. I don’t want any of that one-yuan stuff!”

Yu Lan scribbled a note and threw it into the store. ”Assistant, I can’t be bothered to talk to you anymore! Just read the note and buy what’s on it!”

Xuelian yelled, ”Assistant, if you can’t find Ice Bull, a bottle of Laoshan Herbal Snake Water is fine too!”

Just as they finished speaking, a horrifying scream erupted from inside the store, followed by an abrupt, chilling silence.

Hearing the assistant’s scream, the three women didn’t hesitate. They rushed to the back of the SUV, grabbed steel pipes, iron rods, and machetes, and charged into the store.
