Reborn As Super Heiress

Huo Sining did not want to change this agreement. After all, she had already agreed to Windsor Reed when she came, and since she agreed to the previous agreement, it indicated that she had no objections to this price. Now that Windsor Reed was doing this, it made her seem like someone who would go back on their word.

Windsor Reed, however, directly confided to Huo Sining:

”Miss Huo, I know raising the price for you at this time doesn’t conform to industry rules, but you really have to sign this agreement, otherwise I won’t be able to forgive myself.”

”This vein, I was almost ready to give up on it, and at first, my expectation was just to bet on a small to medium-sized vein, which would be quite good. If it weren’t for your sharp eye, I fear I would have already returned to England by now.”

”Now you’ve gambled correctly on this vein, and it’s an ultra-large vein. I know very well how enormous the profits are from this. This ultra-large vein is enough to support my entire Windsor Family’s prosperity for decades. Miss Huo, with your immense help to my Windsor Family, I, Windsor Reed, cannot be an ungrateful person; this 30% profit is what you deserve.”

Huo Sining smiled and shook her head, saying, ”Mr. Windsor, this vein was originally something from your mining area. I merely helped you select it. Even without me, the vein wouldn’t run away. So you say I’ve provided such a great help; I really can’t accept that. You should take back that extra 10% profit.”

Windsor Reed smiled bitterly and said, ”You’ve got it wrong, Miss Huo. To be honest with you, there’s something I’ve never told anyone else.”

”When I initially bought the mining rights to this mountain range, it was entirely on a whim. Shortly after purchasing it, the geological expert who assessed it and encouraged me to buy this area ran away.”

”At that time, I had a vague feeling that something was wrong but didn’t think deeply about it until Matthew told me yesterday that something big happened. I took you into the mine, and after seeing that weathered zone, I realized the crux of the problem.”

”That damned geological expert must have colluded secretly with the seller who originally held the mining rights to this mountain, deliberately setting me up.”

”Back then, that geological expert deceived me by saying there had been no major geological disasters in the area, reassuring me to buy it, and promised me there was definitely a diamond mine there. It was his words that made me impulsively buy the mining rights to this mountain range.”

”Now reflecting back, that geological expert, seeing that my deal with the seller was already sealed, probably took quite a bit of advantage in secret. Afraid I would confront him once I discovered the truth, he fled early on.”

”I figured all this out yesterday. The seller who sold it to me must have long since discovered traces of the weathered zone, which is why they were eager to sell. It just so happened that when I was buying the mine, they plotted to sell to me, and along with my expert, they trapped me.”

”After completing this transaction, who knows to which country the geological expert fled; it really worked in his favor!”

Huo Sining hadn’t anticipated such hidden details in all of this. However, thinking about a truly ultra-large diamond vein hidden within the mountain range, she couldn’t help but find it amusing. To think by sheer luck, Windsor Reed stumbled upon such a jackpot.

”There’s nothing wrong with it either. As they say, good deeds are rewarded. The seller who sold you the mining rights thought they won by dumping the mess on you, but little did they know, due to their scheming, they lost a heavenly fortune opportunity.”

”You didn’t really lose anything; this vein is enormous. Your investment this time is truly a huge gain. I estimate once the seller finds out about this ultra-large vein, they might not live peacefully for the rest of their life, continuously living in regret and remorse.”

The more Huo Sining thought about it, the more interesting she found it. Windsor Reed picking up this overlooked treasure was quite akin to her own experiences in betting on jadeite raw materials.

She had encountered this situation several times. The owner of the raw material, after several cuts, realized something was wrong and likely to collapse, so they began using all sorts of sweet talk to persuade people to take it off their hands.

In the end, when the raw material was transferred to someone else, it appreciated greatly. The original owner became instantly regretful, wishing they could snatch the jade out of the buyer’s hands.

That’s how Huo Sining obtained her Jade Heaven Bead, which she cut from waste material without spending much money. The person who sold her that waste, Liu Yuxuan, lay eyes set to kill, couldn’t bear to see her after she cut out the Jade Heaven Bead.

Thinking of Liu Yuxuan made Huo Sining inevitably think of Liu Yuxuan’s grandfather, Gambling King Liu. Lately, she had been busy with her own affairs and hadn’t heard any news about the grandfather-grandson duo for quite some time.

But now wasn’t the time to care about these things. Huo Sining regained her composure and looked over at Windsor Reed:

”As for that geological expert, I think there’s no need for you to think about him anymore. Such a person is nothing but a clown. He took the seller’s money to help them scam you, yet he caused the seller to lose an ultra-large vein. Once the news about this vein spreads, that person will definitely be furious and pin all the blame on that geological expert. By then, do you think that geological expert will have a good life?”

In Mexico, anyone with the rights to such a large diamond vein must possess certain strength and background. Losing so much, that person will definitely not let it rest easily.

But by the time that news spreads, Windsor Reed would have already emptied out the diamond mine. For that seller to find trouble with Windsor Reed, it would be too late, so they will most likely pin all their grievances onto that geological expert.

If that seller is a fanatic, the geological expert, no matter where he hides on earth, could be found. By that time, the geological expert surely won’t have any easy days ahead.

Hearing Huo Sining’s analysis, Windsor Reed agreed deeply, yet he reaffirmed:

”The geological expert is indeed a clown, but it’s because of him I nearly lost everything. Honestly, after seeing the weathered zone in the mine yesterday, I was already evaluating whether to transfer these mining rights. Without Miss Huo, I suspect I would have already sold this area off for a pittance.”
