Reborn As Super Heiress

What Huo Sining said left Matthew and many miners present with a look of disbelief on their faces, even Windsor Reed was filled with confusion, looking quite puzzled.

However, out of trust for Huo Sining, Windsor Reed did not doubt Huo Sining for a moment. Seeing that Huo Sining had given an order, Mr. Earl only pondered for a moment before nodding readily:

”Okay, you mean to dig down from here? Fifty meters is not a problem. If it’s all this fully weathered zone here, it will be easy to dig, and won’t take much time. Matthew, take your men and start digging immediately! Don’t waste any time!”

Windsor Reed had a kind of inexplicable confidence in Huo Sining, but Matthew standing by didn’t think so.

Prior to this, he already suspected Huo Sining’s identity. Now seeing Huo Sining supposedly blindly directing, he felt even more disdainful and contemptuous. However, upon seeing Windsor Reed’s expression, he opened his mouth but swallowed back the words he wanted to say.

At this moment, the big BOSS was in high spirits. If he were to say something unpleasant, it would be an affront to Lina, but it would also undermine the boss’s confidence. If this mine ends up being a big gamble loss, the big boss might very well vent his anger on him.

Due to this, Matthew dared not stick his neck out at this point. Internally, however, he was already anticipating the scenario. When they dig fifty meters down and find nothing inside, he would like to see how this personal assistant named Lina would handle it!

The scene of this Miss Lina being ridiculed and scorned by everyone, ending up in utter embarrassment, had already played out in Matthew’s mind. He was waiting to see this personal assistant make a fool of herself. Unfortunately, he was unaware that the woman before him was actually Huo Sining, who had once defeated the Jade Gambling King.

Ever since Huo Sining achieved repeated victories on various Jade Public Plates and successfully helped General Badasang to gamble on a large mine, no one dared to look down on her anymore. Countless jade merchants even sought all sorts of connections, just wishing they could associate with Huo Sining.

Even some foreign jewelers came to her, and if it weren’t for Huo Sining entrusting all foreign affairs to her agent Liu Cheng, she might have been overwhelmed by all the chaos and disturbances.

This illustrated one thing: in this world, strength means everything. Now that Huo Sining had absolute strength, no one dared to question her, not even Windsor Reed.

Therefore, Matthew’s wish to see Huo Sining make a fool of herself was destined to fail.

After the location was designated, even though Matthew was reluctant, he quickly arranged manpower to begin further excavation work.

The spot Huo Sining pointed out was right on the weathered zone. As soon as they started digging down, gravel began to fall down in a cascade, and the workers hurried to dig while transporting the gravel out.

Huo Sining and Windsor Reed quickly retreated more than ten meters. Taking advantage of this gap, Huo Sining again carefully scrutinized the mine. After these days of restoration, the mine pit had returned to normal, with tracks laid for transporting gravel in the early stages and raw diamonds later, transporting all excavated diamonds outside.

Outside, diamond experts were waiting to receive these rough diamonds for sorting, grading, and packaging for storage.

Seeing these completed facilities inside the mine, she couldn’t help but nod secretly. It seemed that Captain Matthew was indeed an excellent mining captain, managing to put the mine into this order in just two or three days after the accident was quite a feat.

The completeness of this mine’s facilities would have a great impact on the upcoming work. Now it seemed Huo Sining had no worries in this regard. At least, apart from the fully weathered zone that unexpectedly appeared in the mine, everything else was up to standard, and this weathered zone brought an unexpected surprise. Huo Sining was quite satisfied.

To dig a fifty-meter extension tunnel was not an easy task, and Huo Sining knew that after digging more than ten meters into this fully weathered zone, there would be a stubborn layer of rock that would be hard to extract without the use of professional excavation tools. So, after checking the entire mine’s facilities, she decided to return outside the mine and wait for the workers to carve out the fifty-meter passage.

Windsor Reed had no objections to this proposal, so soon, Huo Sining and the others returned to the top. The reception staff even thoughtfully set up a sunshade for them and prepared hot drinks.

Huo Sining sat down calmly to drink the hot beverage, and Gu Xu, following suit, sat next to his wife, while Windsor Reed was all anxious, clearly still a bit skeptical and apprehensive about that weathered zone earlier, fearing any more problems down below.

”Mr. Earl, take it easy and sit down to wait.”

Seeing Windsor Reed like this, Huo Sining couldn’t help but urge him.

Windsor Reed turned to Huo Sining with a look of mixed emotions, hesitating for a moment before finally failing to hold back and sitting beside Huo Sining, tilting his body towards her like a petulant child, looking at Huo Sining pitifully:

”Miss Huo, please stop being secretive. Did you discover something about that weathered zone?”

Huo Sining couldn’t help but glance at Windsor Reed, smiling: ”Mr. Earl, what do you think about that weathered zone?”

Windsor Reed smiled wryly: ”How would I dare to show off in front of you? Aren’t you just teasing me?”

Huo Sining shook her head: ”I just want to know your honest opinion.”

Windsor Reed pondered for a few seconds then spoke seriously: ”If you really want to know, I’ll tell you my thoughts. Frankly, though I don’t have your capability, Miss Huo, over the years, I’ve learned quite a bit of geological knowledge from several geologists.”

”Just from the fragility of the stone, it can be seen that this weathered zone has existed for a long period. Those that crumble with a gentle touch are the most obvious characteristics of a complete weathering zone. This suggests that the entire mountain is basically destroyed by that weathered zone.”

”If a natural disaster like a landslide were to occur in this area, the weathered zone would be washed away or sunk, and it’s very likely a natural canyon or cliff would form there.”

Saying this, Windsor Reed wore a very gloomy expression.
