Reborn As Super Heiress

”It was precisely because of this deduction that I extrapolated my hypothesis about the associated mineral deposits.”

”The crustal movements bring not only weathered zones but also associated minerals. As long as we can survey the existence of associated minerals, the hypothesis of this mineral vein being a supergiant vein will definitely hold!”

Huo Sining eloquently narrated her thought process, and Windsor Reed suddenly realized.

He had previously suspected if Huo Sining’s theory about the vein being a supergiant had concrete analytical basis. Hearing her words now made everything seem reasonable, and his perception of Huo Sining’s wisdom and insight deepened, filling him with admiration.

This young woman, barely in her twenties, was so astute, it was truly terrifying!

What Huo Sining didn’t mention was that this was actually a made-up excuse to placate Windsor Reed. The reason she proposed the supergiant vein theory was entirely because during the scanning process with the Heavenly Eye, she inadvertently noticed an associated mineral deposit.

Moreover, when observing the edge of the weathered zone, she made another astonishing discovery: the completely weathered zone inside the mine and the special rock layer there were completely incongruent as if two different mountain masses had been forcibly squeezed together during crustal movements.

Due to these two unique reasons, she had the hypothesis of a supergiant vein, not an unfounded random guess.

Of course, regardless of the causes of this completely weathered zone and that special rock layer’s formation, events from tens of thousands of years ago, no one can fully uncover the truth, nor would anyone actually conduct a special investigation unless they specifically study geology.

For geologists, these potentially invaluable materials seemed worthless to Huo Sining.

Her goal with Windsor Reed was the same: as long as the large mineral vein existed, it would bring enough benefits for her.

As diamonds were excavated from the mine, every miner became highly motivated, and there was a reason for this.

Although these miners were employed under Matthew’s leadership, directly hired by Windsor Reed with fixed wages, once diamond ore was discovered, after screening, typically, the diamond mine owner would sift through the batch-mined diamonds.

Diamond merchants had standards for diamonds as most diamond jewelry emphasizes value retention.

For value retention, ideally, it should be greater than 1CT with clarity reaching VVS and color grade above H.

Huaxia’s requirements for diamond value retention might be slightly lower, with domestic diamonds under 20 points not graded, while internationally some major diamond grading systems stipulate no retention value for diamonds under 47 points.

Therefore, internationally, some diamond merchants sift using the 47-point demarcation, deeming diamonds below this line as having little processing value, especially for large-scale developers like Windsor Reed, who show minimal interest in smaller diamonds.

Processing small diamonds wastes manpower and resources as well as time and money, yielding very meager profits.

Therefore, major diamond merchants only seek diamonds above 47 points during mining, discarding those below this threshold.

This allows miners to benefit.

Diamonds under 47 points may be worthless, but they harbor enough profit for the miners to excite them.

These small diamonds, once acquired, can be sold to some recycling companies, who then resell them to factories making small product jewelry or high-end items, where these factories enhance their products’ taste and value by embedding small diamonds.

The price of these small diamonds isn’t high, but they prevail in quantity. Once a vein is excavated, larger diamonds are rarer, while small diamonds are numerous, and because diamond merchants granted latitude, miners amassed many small diamonds. Selling these, miners earn a share.

Though a modest share that diamond merchants overlook, miners use this meager profit to marry, have children, and live peacefully.

Hence, during mining, not only do developers yearn for a prosperous vein, but miners also hold tight hope for a fruitful year.

At the onset of the Maled vein’s excavation, miners were full of dreams, but discovering the weathered zone dampened their spirits, making them feel this time might be in vain.

Yet unexpectedly, Huo Sining’s intervention changed the entire situation, rekindling their hope.

About the supergiant vein matter, Huo Sining didn’t reveal it to the miners; otherwise, they might go wild.

To these miners, even a small vein is a blessing; a supergiant vein would be an enormous surprise.

A supergiant vein not only creates massive profits for Windsor Reed but also immensely benefits the miners. They dream each night of discovering a supergiant vein, so their year of toil equals several good past years.

Should a generous boss raise the grading criteria even slightly, they could strike it rich overnight, living luxuriously.

This prompted apprehension that if the news leaked, the miners could excessively excite and cause trouble, so Huo Sining and Windsor Reed tacitly kept the matter from Matthew.

Moreover, to Huo Sining, without fully verifying her associated mineral hypothesis, she didn’t wish for the news to spread, risking groundless jubilation and unsettling morale.

Nevertheless, due to Huo Sining’s hypothesis, Windsor Reed spent the night seeking connections everywhere, even calling England for Adrian’s aid, bringing reinforcements from all directions. By the next afternoon, numerous security personnel—though covert—had swarmed the Malad Mountains, escalating the security level of the entire vein multiple degrees.

Miners entering the mining area were also no longer allowed to roam freely, preventing leakage of the mining area’s circumstances.
