Reborn As Super Heiress

After the three of them returned to the hotel, they slept soundly and didn’t wake up until midday.

They had been busy all night and went to sleep as soon as they returned. Now they were starving, so they quickly washed up and rushed to the hotel restaurant to find something to eat.

At this moment, the three of them only guessed that the drug cartel’s base in the Malad Mountains was in chaos. However, they could never have predicted that Tranleva would bring in a bunch of detectives, complicating the entire case. After a series of mental gymnastics, these people diverted far from the truth, moving in a direction completely unforeseen by Huo Sining and her team.

After eating and drinking their fill, Huo Sining was just about to express her desire to rescue the Emperor Caesar when her phone suddenly rang.

Huo Sining picked up the phone and was stunned.

It was none other than Windsor Reed calling.

”Mr. Earl,” Huo Sining instinctively answered the phone.

As soon as the call connected, Windsor Reed impatiently asked, ”Miss Huo, where are you right now?”

Huo Sining hesitated for a moment but still disclosed the name of her hotel, then curiously asked, ”Mr. Earl, you sound urgent. Is something wrong?”

Windsor Reed replied, ”Here’s the thing, I just received some news. That Tranleva is in trouble. I heard that one of his bases is built in the Malad Mountains, just a few kilometers from my mining area. Some strange people came to my mining area this morning, seemingly looking for something. Now that base is in chaos, and I have a friend who found out that the Emperor is currently being held in a place. Now that Tranleva is occupied with his issues, I was thinking of taking the opportunity to rescue the Emperor.”

Huo Sining was surprised to hear this. On one hand, she didn’t expect Windsor Reed’s information to be so well-informed, not only finding out where the Emperor was being detained but also knowing about the base being looted. It seemed she had underestimated this English Earl’s abilities; on the other hand, she was puzzled about why Windsor Reed went out of his way to tell her this information. Did he know she might try to rescue the Emperor?

With these thoughts, Huo Sining couldn’t help but speculate further and cautiously asked:

”Mr. Windsor, you should just make the decision yourself. There’s no need to ask for my opinion, is there? But are you sure about the location where the Emperor is being held, or is it just hearsay?”

Windsor Reed apologized, ”The information is accurate. I spent some money and bribed a Mexican drug lord, and the people over there who owed me a favor wouldn’t give me incorrect information. I’m calling Miss Huo to ask if I could have some of your ancestral hemostatic powder. The Emperor was captured by those drug dealers and is definitely suffering. I’m worried that when we go to save him, we might need it.”

Huo Sining suddenly realized, silently admonishing herself for being too paranoid. There was no way this Englishman could have guessed that it was she who had looted Tranleva’s base. He simply called to ask for the powder, nothing as complicated as she imagined.

Huo Sining couldn’t help but look at Gu Xu with a smile and said, ”Mr. Earl, you’re being too polite. It’s just some powder. Even if you hadn’t asked, I would have given it to you. However, there’s something you may not know. My powder needs to be used with a family technique to be effective. Even if an ordinary person has the powder, they can’t utilize it. So regarding the rescue, I’ll go with you.”

Windsor Reed hesitated at this, ”But, Miss Huo, although Tranleva has relocated many of his men from that base, I cannot guarantee that the Emperor’s location is safe, and if you come along, there might be a risk...”

”You don’t need to worry about that. I have bodyguards with me, so there will be no problems. Moreover, my people might even be able to assist you,”

Huo Sining insisted.

Windsor Reed didn’t further inquire about Huo Sining’s bodyguards. Hearing Huo Sining insist repeatedly on joining the rescue of his son, Windsor Reed was deeply moved. Although Windsor Reed knew his son liked this Eastern woman and was aware of Huo Sining’s exceptional skills, he still had some prejudices against her in his heart.

He could see Huo Sining as a business partner or a friend with common interests, but being his son’s romantic interest was out of the question. Windsor Reed was displeased with his son’s infatuation.

Even though Huo Sining had previously provided him with a large supply of diamonds, helped him with numerous issues, and had recently accompanied him to Mexico to rescue a group of disaster-stricken miners, he couldn’t fully accept her.

In his mind, he had always seen himself as of royal blood, and such arrogance was deeply ingrained since childhood and difficult to erase.

But now, this woman named Huo Sining, regardless of having no romantic feelings for his son beyond friendship, immediately joined the rescue effort upon hearing of his son’s plight, making Windsor Reed realize for the first time that his previous thoughts were entirely wrong. This Eastern woman, known as Huo Sining, is truly a remarkable woman with a big heart; his son hadn’t fallen for the wrong person.

Windsor Reed did not refuse again. After mentioning the meeting point and the location where Windsor Caesar was being held, Huo Sining immediately understood and told Windsor Reed to wait for her.

Windsor Reed assumed that Huo Sining meant for him to wait until she arrived and didn’t think much of it. After hanging up, he continued to discuss rescue plans with his subordinates.

However, after Huo Sining hung up the phone, she looked up at Gu Xu and Yu Fei with a smile:

”Hey, guys, we’ve got more work to do!”

Windsor Reed was preparing to wait until the evening when the drug dealers’ defenses were loosened to take action. In addition, they were still discussing, aiming to make a foolproof plan, so it would take some time.

However, after calculating the time, Huo Sining thought that waiting would only lead to complications, so it was better to act quickly.
