Reborn As Super Heiress

A group of miners were outside, anxious and restless. Just then, the big boss arrived. Without the boss’s instructions, they didn’t dare to act recklessly.

At this moment, the boss suddenly stood up from the pile of rocks with his personal assistant, waved at the team of miners, and loudly ordered:

”Dig in from here, quickly, find a way to clear these rocks!”

The group of miners looked at each other in confusion, and the mining team leader was full of doubt: ”Boss, there are too many piles of rocks here. Digging in from here may not necessarily help us find those trapped miners.”

Windsor Reed, however, snorted coldly. He trusted Huo Sining completely. After all, from what he knew about her, this Huaxia woman, despite her young age, never spoke carelessly. If she said there was a situation here, there was definitely no mistake.

The mining team leader saw he couldn’t persuade the boss, so he had no choice but to nod in agreement and turned around to instruct the miners behind him to start digging.

One pile of rocks after another was quickly cleared away. As time went by, the mining team leader’s expression became more and more serious, and Windsor Reed also tensed up. Meanwhile, Huo Si maintained a serene demeanor, looking particularly confident.

An hour and a half later, suddenly, an excited shout came from the pile of rocks the miners were digging into:

”There’s blood here! And it’s fresh. It’s them! They must be nearby!”

Upon hearing this exclamation, the miners’ faces lit up with excitement, and even the mining team leader was full of disbelief. Windsor Reed couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief, turning his head to glance at Huo Sining, his eyes filled with excitement.

”Keep digging, quicker, accelerate the pace! They should be buried not far from here!”

This time, without Windsor Reed urging, the mining team leader immediately shouted the order, and the miners worked even harder, as if fueled by adrenaline.

The workers mining here often spent their days together, from early morning to late at night. They usually gathered to drink, eat meat, and share dirty jokes. They had formed bonds. Now, suddenly faced with an incident where six or seven miners were trapped inside the cave, the remaining miners were naturally troubled and eager to dive into the pile of rocks to save their companions.

Now, having unexpectedly discovered blood, they suddenly felt hope and were filled with excitement. They didn’t care about anything else, digging frantically as if their lives depended on it.

Huo Sining originally thought it would take at least another one or two hours to dig in, but with the concerted efforts of the workers, it took less than an hour before noise could be heard from inside.

”There’s something going on, there’s a sound inside, it’s Andra! It’s his voice!”

Upon hearing this exclamation, the mining team leader was overjoyed, rushing up and shouting loudly: ”Andra, can you hear my voice? I’m Captain Matthew. What’s the situation on your side? Are you alone?”

The voice from inside came through the pile of rocks, muffled and not very clear. A lot of effort was needed to hear it clearly. Because of this, neither Huo Sining nor the miners dared to make a sound, holding their breath and concentrating hard to listen for the response from within.

”I’m okay, just a bit dizzy, feeling short of breath... Morris and the others are with me, but Morris and Father and Son Rebu were hit by rocks... Arnold and Peter Pan have abrasions, not too serious, but also having some difficulty breathing.”

Andra spoke intermittently, obviously exhausted after saying such a long sentence.

However, upon hearing this information, everyone outside was overjoyed.

The six miners buried inside were all accounted for. This was good news, and morale surged among the miners.

Captain Matthew was also extremely excited, but thinking of Andra’s earlier reply, he inwardly cursed Andra for being clueless, reporting on the condition of his brothers while leaving out the most critical person.

Thinking of this, Matthew quickly asked aloud, ”Okay, Andra, hang in there. We’re working on rescuing you as quickly as possible. We’ll get you out soon. You must hold on! Also, is Young Master Windsor with you? Is he okay now?”

Matthew raised his voice to ask, but after waiting for several seconds, there was no response from Andra inside.

Matthew was puzzled and concerned, wanting to ask more. However, he was stopped by Huo Sining next to him:

”Captain Matthew, let’s focus on rescuing them first. Time is of the essence, and we can’t afford any delays!”

Windsor Reed also didn’t have any objections to Huo Sining’s decision. Whether Caesar was with these miners or not, and regardless of his safety, they had already found the whereabouts of these miners. The priority was undoubtedly to rescue them first.

Though he was the big boss, Windsor Reed understood one thing: to mine diamonds, he relied on the capabilities of the frontline miners. If he were to disregard the lives of the miners now and this incident became known, Windsor Reed’s reputation would be ruined. Then, when he wanted to mine in the future, it’s unlikely anyone would risk their lives for him.

So, no matter how anxious he felt inside or how worried he was for his son’s safety, Windsor Reed couldn’t ignore the miners at this time.

Very soon, the miners cleared a passage through the pile of rocks and brought in a blower to continuously blow air into the cave entrance.

At the same time, more than twenty miners continued to clean and excavate the pile of rocks. The excavation speed was not slow, quickly expanding the passage bit by bit until it could eventually accommodate one person to enter.

Behind the pile of rocks was a sloping stone wall. When the rocks fell, a sizeable gap was left between the stone wall and the pile, just large enough to accommodate the six trapped miners including Andra.

However, the mine collapse was too sudden, and the miners’ reactions were not quick enough. Three miners had been hit by the rocks. If Andra and the other two miners hadn’t struggled to drag them, those three hit by the rocks might have been crushed under the rock pile and met their end.

Once a miner went inside, the six men, barely clinging to life, were soon brought out one by one.

Those outside had long been ready with stretchers waiting. As soon as someone was brought out, they were placed directly onto a stretcher, where a temporary medical team was waiting.

Andra and the other two miners had only temporarily fainted due to lack of oxygen and didn’t have any significant issues. The doctors in the medical team only slightly stimulated the three, and they gradually regained consciousness.
