Reborn As Super Heiress

The first mine pit opened is slightly lower in terrain, perhaps with the intention of saving some manpower and resources, this mine tunnel is cleverly opened, starting from a lower point, presumably to quickly excavate the diamond mine.

Moreover, once inside the mine tunnel, Huo Sining discovered that the soil here was the loosest, with few rock layers, making excavation faster.

However, after entering the mine with Matthew while wearing a safety helmet, Huo Sining and her group quickly discovered a problem.

Oil lamps were installed on the walls inside the mine pit, allowing the mine tunnel to not be too dark and making the ground visible, and at the same time, there was also a mining lamp attached to the safety helmets worn by Huo Sining and her team.

This mine tunnel was dug very deep, with a vertical distance reaching as much as thirty meters, but the further in they went, the more severely Huo Sining frowned.

As she walked, she kept her hand on the stone wall of the mine tunnel for surveying, and upon investigation, the Heavenly Eye detected a very unexpected situation.

Inside the stone wall of this mine tunnel, there appeared a very prominent wind erosion zone!

Even without going further inside, Huo Sining already understood what big problem Matthew had just spoken about.

A wind erosion zone is a natural phenomenon found in mountain rock layers and is a normal representation. The reason behind its occurrence is due to mountain fracture caused by a violent earthquake.

If an ordinary mountain range has a wind erosion zone, it not only doesn’t cause any hardness issues, but rather can become a beautiful scenery. The marvelous craftsmanship of nature creates many amazing natural landscapes in the mountains, with wind erosion zones being the most common among them.

However, it’s bad news to find a wind erosion zone in a mineral vein; any wind erosion zone in a mineral vein is a headache.

A wind erosion zone indicates that there once was a geological problem here, and if an earthquake has occurred, it could greatly affect the distribution of the original mineral vein and the quality of the ores inside.

Just like the cracks in Jadeite Raw Stone gambling, after experiencing an earthquake, it can result in extremely poor hardness, even if there is excellent Superior Jadeite inside the raw stone, once destroyed by cracks, its value could decrease significantly, or even become worthless.

Similarly, diamond mines are also troubled by wind erosion zones; if a diamond has cracks due to the earthquake, it will become worthless. This is a very serious issue, but often it is the most powerless situation for mineral vein explorers.

Huo Sining didn’t expect this situation to be encountered by Windsor Reed.

Her expression became very grave, even though she hadn’t reached the deepest part, her hand never moved an inch away from the stone wall.

Following the mine tunnel all the way down, walking seventy or eighty meters, the strand of the wind erosion zone deeply hidden within the stone wall extended all the way, getting closer to the stone wall dug out by the miners until it directly exposed itself in the innermost part.

In Huo Sining’s heart, she couldn’t help but think, indeed, the wind erosion zone has really been unearthed.

Seeing the wind erosion zone filled with fractured rock layers, Windsor Reed was momentarily stunned, his face then instantly changed.

The fact that no diamond mine was dug from below the wind erosion zone just shows, this diamond mine is highly likely to be ruined, for such a good mineral vein to show such disgusting phenomenon, it would likely shock and astonish anyone who sees it.

This is akin to gambling with Jadeite, cutting several lines, revealing a piece of High Ice Type or even better Jadeite, with a crowd cheering below, believing you bet high, even estimating it worth tens of millions. Yet when you’re halfway through its release, it cuts and reveals cracks and black mold fungus inside, devouring the Jadeite flesh, originally worth tens of millions, plummets to hundreds of thousands. Such drastic ups and downs in emotions are unbearable for any normal person.

Furthermore, this mineral vein was purchased by Windsor Reed at a huge cost from someone else’s hands. For excavating this diamond mine, Windsor Reed made extensive preparations earlier, not knowing how much capital was spent just on managing relationships.

Originally, Windsor Reed was envisioning that once this vein was excavated, his company could soar to the sky.

But unexpectedly, reality dealt him a brutal blow.

The appearance of these wind erosion zones shattered his fantasies.

If this diamond mine is indeed destroyed, let alone soaring to the sky, recovering the cost invested into the diamond vein would be commendable, and the worst outcome might be losing everything, a complete waste of time and effort.

For Windsor Reed, this discovery is certainly a significant blow.

Matthew on the other side saw Windsor Reed’s expression, realized there’s no need for his explanation, the boss already understood the situation.

”Boss, I have already collected data on this wind erosion zone and sent it to the experts’ department for research. But I have also done some research and discovered some information, this wind erosion zone formed around thirty thousand years ago, but this information has not been verified, so it didn’t attract much attention before.”

Windsor Reed’s expression was somewhat rigid, remembering the time when he bought this mineral vein, back then he clearly brought a geologist to analyze this data without any issues, but that geologist told him this area is not a seismic zone, no earthquake had ever occurred, this allowed him to buy this mountain range without worry.

Upon reflection now, that geologist was likely bribed by the seller, otherwise, why would he disappear without a trace and be unreachable after completing the transaction?

Only at that time, full of arrogance and satisfaction, believing he made an excellent deal, so the geologist’s sudden disappearance didn’t attract much attention.

Now recalling, Windsor Reed realized the problem, apparently the person who sold the mining rights of Maled Mountains had certainly discovered some information beforehand, dared not to mine it himself, hence decided to find a sucker to take over this mess, deliberately set a trap and lured him in!

Windsor Reed’s face instantly turned ashen, couldn’t help but punch the nearby stone wall fiercely to vent his anger.

Seeing Windsor Reed’s expression and actions, Matthew couldn’t help but tremble.

In truth, Matthew had found out, this mountain’s diamond mine was formed from a volcanic eruption, and the period of that volcanic eruption coincidentally was also between thirty thousand and fifty thousand years ago. Coincidentally, during that time between thirty thousand and fifty thousand years, an earthquake also formed a wind erosion zone, their combination resulted in the most damage to diamonds. If an earthquake occurred while the diamonds hadn’t cooled, it’s highly likely to shake the diamonds into powder fragments.

Only, at seeing Windsor Reed’s impatient and infuriated expression, the words that had reached Matthew’s mouth suddenly swallowed back, no longer dared to say again those grim words to touch Windsor Reed’s bad luck.
