Reborn As Super Heiress

Capítulo 1790: Chapter 1692: Coagulation Disorder

Seeing Huo Sining nod in agreement, Li Gang and his group were overjoyed, each of them as if they were on adrenaline. They followed closely behind Huo Sining, serving her diligently, and dare not deviate from her instructions one bit.

This made Huo Sining quite satisfied. Although Li Gang and his group had their own little agendas, they were after all adults, much more experienced and stronger than students like Xiao Fan. After Huo Sining discovered people trapped under the rubble, a few gestures from her would have Li Gang and his group quickly understand her intentions, unlike the students who constantly needed analysis, reminders, and instructions.

The night was completely dark, and the rescue team quickly arrived at Meishan Town. Huo Sining had Xiao Fan and the other children follow their teacher, while she led Li Gang’s group to other locations to assist in rescues.

Before this, Huo Sining made a trip to a pharmacy. Due to the earthquake, many pharmacies had collapsed, and the medicine scattered everywhere.

Huo Sining collected a lot of emergency medicine and left a note for the owner, stating that she had taken the medicine and would discuss compensation once the rescue operations ended.

Huo Sining left her contact information on the note but was worried the owner might not see it. So, she memorized the name of the pharmacy, intending to have Wu Jun handle the follow-up after returning to the Magic Capital.

With the emergency medicine, Huo Sining rallied Li Gang and his group to rush to other locations; they did not overthink matters. They helped wherever they were needed, making every effort to assist those in distress.

Yet, the efficiency was frustratingly low, leaving Huo Sining unsatisfied, but unable to devise a better solution.

After traversing an unknown distance and saving countless people, Huo Sining and her group were so exhausted they collapsed onto the ground, barely able to lift their arms.

“Eat something.”

Huo Sining handed several buns and drinks to Li Gang and his group with a smile. They looked up at her and, after a moment of hesitation, took the food.

Everyone was starving, their stomachs touching their backs, so they couldn’t care less. Grabbing the buns, they began ravenously devouring them, and Huo Sining also took a bun to eat.

Though exhausted, they didn’t pause to question where Huo Sining got the warm buns from. They hurriedly stuffed the food into their mouths as if afraid others would snatch it away.

After swallowing two buns, they started feeling alive again, and even Liao Ping had the energy to start joking.

The group sat on the ground to rest and gradually fell asleep in a daze. They didn’t know how much time had passed when a commotion woke them. Huo Sining was the first to awaken, snapping her eyes open and looking toward the noise.

“What’s happening?”

Li Gang and the others woke up too, turning to face the direction of the noise.

Not far away, under a pile of rubble, several special police officers were shouting something, and nearby medical staff rushed over in a hurry.

Huo Sining quickly reacted, sprang up from the ground, and dashed toward that direction.

“Miss Huo!” Li Gang and others called out, but seeing her not turning around, they had no choice but to follow her.

As they neared, they were all stunned.

In the freshly cleared ruins, a two- or three-year-old child had an iron rod embedded in his abdomen, covered in blood, eyes filled with tears, pleadingly and hopefully looking at the crowd.

Beside the child, a young couple was crying hysterically, continuously begging the special police and medical staff, “Please, save our child… He’s so young, he doesn’t understand anything yet… he hasn’t seen enough of this world.”

Upon seeing the situation, the medical staff was helpless, and several special police officers stood among the gathered crowd, all casting sidelong glances at the couple’s pleas.

The scene was heart-wrenching for everyone. Even the medical staff, accustomed to life and death, couldn’t hold back their tears, and tears welled up in the eyes of the special police as well.

“Doctors, please help save him, this child is so pitiful!” The crowd couldn’t bear to watch any longer and urged the doctors.

The medical staff looked troubled: “It’s not that we don’t want to save him. We gave him a hemostatic agent, but it was ineffective. We’ve already asked the parents; they told us the child has a coagulation disorder. In this condition, the bleeding won’t stop. The iron rod impaling his abdomen could damage multiple organs if moved. We’re afraid of making things worse by intervening, causing him to bleed out faster!”

Huo Sining, who was initially confused about why the child was bleeding so much, immediately understood after hearing the explanation.

A coagulation disorder refers to a bleeding disease caused by lacking or dysfunctional coagulation factors. In normal circumstances, the individual might appear healthy, but any injury could result in unstoppable bleeding, requiring extended periods for wounds to heal.

Such children, often compared to porcelain dolls, require meticulous care. Any injury poses serious threats to their lives, let alone an iron rod through the abdomen. Besides endless bleeding, the rod could damage internal organs. Without prompt treatment, the child’s life is at risk.

No wonder the child’s parents were desperate. Even major hospitals might hesitate to undertake this case, let alone under current circumstances with such inadequate medical equipment. Which medical staff would dare try?

But seeing the child’s face growing paler and more blood pooling around, Huo Sining knew the child might not hold on much longer.

The child’s mother wept until she lost strength, finally fainting into her husband’s arms.

The medical staff, unable to bear it, planned to move the child to the ambulance first after a quick discussion.

Unexpectedly, just as they crouched down, they were sharply stopped by a clear voice:

“Don’t touch him; doing so will only kill him!”
