Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 1768: Chapter 1670: Shifting the Blame

Su Lingxue has not appeared for a while, and all matters are being handled by the Su Family Elders.

After Gu Xu learned that his own wife was continuously harmed in the ”Mermaid Legend” crew, he couldn’t hold back any longer, threw the work in his hands to Song Hui, and set off for Meishan.

Even the higher-ups at Huan Rui couldn’t sit still, hurriedly rushing to the film and television base to apologize to the Gu couple.

”Miss Huo, our Lingxue is young and naive. If she has offended you, the two of us are here to apologize on her behalf. Please be kind and let her go.”

Huan Rui came this time, bringing Su Lingxue’s parents, which caught Huo Sining off guard and also made her feel quite disgusted.

Su Lingxue made a mistake, yet she doesn’t even have the courage to apologize herself, instead letting her parents come forward. Someone like this is truly despised by Huo Sining.

Moreover, what Huo Sining disliked even more were the words from Su Lingxue’s parents, claiming she’s young and doesn’t understand. Huo finally understood that Su Lingxue’s character flaw was spoiled by her clueless parents.

”Mr. Su, Mrs. Su, your daughter is a few years older than me, claiming she’s young and naive in front of me — aren’t you joking?”

Su Lingxue attempted several times to harm herself; no matter how generous Huo Sining could be, she could not keep forgiving all the time. Her dislike for Su Lingxue naturally extended to her parents, so she spoke without politeness.

Sure enough, as soon as Huo Sining spoke, Su’s parents were immediately embarrassed, faces turning red, and looked awkwardly embarrassed.

Gu Xu also looked at these middle-aged people with a very sarcastic gaze: ”Mr. Su, Miss Su is an adult once she turns eighteen. She should be responsible for her actions. Now with such an incident, she doesn’t come forward but has you apologize. Isn’t that inappropriate?”

Uncle Su paused, explaining: ”Our Lingxue is simple and pure; she inherently isn’t bad. It’s the bad advice from that manager. Mr. Gu, if you want to blame, blame that manager surnamed Huang and the one surnamed Luo. Those two must have reached some agreement secretly, it’s all their ideas and has nothing to do with our Lingxue. Shaoqing, quickly explain for us, Lingxue truly did not take part in this!”

Uncle Su tried to absolve his daughter, shifting all the guilt onto Huang Jingwen and Luo Shaoqun, trying to clear Su Lingxue.

But he hadn’t expected that Gu Xu had evidence of it all, making Uncle Su’s argument entirely untenable.

Gu Xu was also too lazy to waste words with these people, directly throwing out the evidence of Su Lingxue and Huang Jingwen purchasing drugs to frame Huo Sining.

The email screenshots, each one a powerful proof of Su Lingxue and Huang Jingwen’s crimes.

Xu Shaoqing initially wanted to speak for Su Lingxue, but upon seeing what Gu Xu threw out, his face changed dramatically; any plea for Su Lingxue instantly swallowed, not daring to utter another word.

The Su couple picked up the evidence Gu Xu threw out, looked at it together, and were extremely surprised.

They thought Su Lingxue and Huang Jingwen just planned Xie Yuxing and Luo Shaoqun’s cheating scandal, but hadn’t expected that previous ”Pearl Powder” incident was concocted by the two as well.

This made Uncle Su refuse to believe. He always thought his daughter was pure and kind, never imagined that his young daughter had already learned these sordid tricks of the entertainment industry.

Uncle Su’s face turned ghostly pale, eyes filled with disbelief: ”This must be fake; my Lingxue would never do such a thing. You must have fabricated it!”

Gu Xu shrugged: ”What is real cannot be false, and what is false cannot be real. If Mr. Su does not believe, I will send it directly to the judicial authorities and let the police verify it for you. They can surely tell at a glance.”

Upon hearing these words, Uncle Su’s heart sank.

Although he was reluctant to believe his daughter capable of such actions, combined with her recent mistakes, along with the silence following her release from the police station and forbidding them from suing in court, Uncle Su vaguely realized that the evidence Gu had could very likely be true.

Meanwhile, Aunt Su didn’t look well. She came with Xu Shaoqing this time just to plead for her daughter, but after Gu Xu produced a few papers, Xu Shaoqing and her husband fell silent; this left Aunt Su dissatisfied, especially disliking Xu Shaoqing, their nephew-in-law.

She glanced at Huo Sining indifferently: ”Even if this is true so what, didn’t it ultimately not harm Miss Huo? Instead, it dragged my Lingxue into the police station once. We haven’t even settled this with you yet — why did the Pearl Powder suddenly end up in my Lingxue’s room? Surely it’s Miss Huo’s doing, right? We didn’t pursue it, but if we did, it’s likely Miss Huo wouldn’t escape responsibility either?”

Aunt Su thought public figures cherish their reputation; if she truly exposed this matter, the Gu family couldn’t handle it lest it spills over, so she assumed using it to threaten would surely make Gu Xu and Huo Sining compromise out of concern for their reputation.

Unfortunately, Aunt Su misunderstood the characters of Gu Xu and Huo Sining too much.

Upon hearing Aunt Su’s words, Huo Sining chuckled angrily.

She never anticipated that such a terrible type would be Su Lingxue’s parents: not only were they insincere in their apology, but now they wanted to accuse in return.

Unable to help it, Huo Sining spoke coldly: ”If you believe your daughter has done no wrong, then there’s no need to negotiate with us. Handle the matter as it should be handled!”

”These things, we will hand over to the police for them to handle. The batch of goods purchased by Su Lingxue and Huang Jingwen is very real; if you don’t believe it, just go ask your precious daughter if it’s true!”

”I’m not afraid to tell you where the goods are hidden; if I inform the police, then with substantial evidence, I imagine Su Lingxue wouldn’t be able to deny the charges even with ten tongues.”

Huo Sining understands why Su Lingxue has developed such a vindictive character; with parents like this who can’t tell right from wrong, it’s impossible to cultivate a child with common sense, only a detestable brat!
