Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 1785: Chapter 1687: Don’t Move

Having figured out this part, Huo Sining couldn’t help but curl her lips into a smile, looked up at the police officers before her, and asked jokingly:

”Officers, with such a big earthquake, wasn’t your police station damaged? So many people are affected, dead and wounded everywhere, and you, as public servants, are not busy saving lives but rather sending three or four people to arrest me for such a trivial matter, aren’t you afraid of wasting police resources?”

Huo Sining’s words were filled with sarcasm, and the officers’ expressions changed upon hearing them.

”Just come with us, what’s with all the nonsense!”

The leading officer’s eyes flashed with severity, and without playing along with Huo Sining, he directly pulled out handcuffs from his pocket and moved to cuff her.

Huo Sining wasn’t going to let him have his way and quickly dodged, her gaze firmly fixed on the officers, she smiled and said:

”In this day and age, you can’t tell real police from fake ones, you seem to be breaking protocol; before arresting someone, at the very least, you should show your badges, right? Otherwise, who knows if you’re human traffickers?”

The officer didn’t expect Huo Sining to be so difficult, demanding proof before complying, his movements hesitated in anger, but another officer quickly stopped him: ”Li!”

The officer named Li turned around to see several officers signaling to him.

To quickly take Huo Sining away, the officers hurriedly pulled out their badges from their breast pockets to show her.

Huo Sining had sharp eyes and a good memory, and in just a few seconds, she remembered the names of all four officers.

”Li Gang, Liao Ping, Mao Wei, Yu Ronghua, excellent, I’ve remembered them.”

She recited their names, then suddenly shifted her tone, smiling at the officers:

”Zhao Si sent you, didn’t he?”

Upon suddenly mentioning Zhao Si’s name, the officers’ faces changed, their eyes flickered, and one of them even appeared slightly guilty.

”What are you talking about? Zhao Si? We belong to Meishan Town Police Station. You’ve illegally hidden prohibited items, seriously threatening public safety. We are taking you back for investigation, it’s the procedure, miss, please cooperate and come with us, otherwise, don’t blame us for being unkind!”

The officer named Li Gang was clearly done with wasting time, speaking righteously.

Huo Sining couldn’t help but laugh and nodded, ”You guys are indeed dedicated, sticking to your posts even amidst an earthquake, Meishan Town Police Station, right? I wonder who your chief is, I’ll have someone send him a banner for your dedication!”

”Maintaining public order is our duty, even in an earthquake, the security order must remain intact!”

Li Gang, already impatient, said the sanctimonious official rhetoric while charging towards Huo Sining with a baton in hand, intent on using force if she didn’t comply.

Huo Sining stood her ground without moving, and Li Gang thought she was scared, moving directly to cuff her hands.

But unexpectedly, just as he neared her, she swiftly pulled her hand out from her pocket.

A hard object pressed against Li Gang’s waist.

Li Gang didn’t immediately react, but when he looked down and saw what the object was, his face turned ashen and his mind went blank with a buzz.

The woman before him seemed completely unfazed, still smiling sweetly, with a carefree attitude, even cheekily whistling as she said lightly:

”Don’t move, otherwise I can’t guarantee this thing won’t accidentally go off and—bang—”

Li Gang’s companions didn’t know what had happened, seeing Li Gang suddenly freeze, looking terrified at the woman before them, they were perplexed, about to ask what was wrong, when they saw a small, exquisite handgun in Huo Sining’s hand.

The gun in her hand revealed only a small portion, but it was enough for them to recognize what it was.

Seeing this, the officers reeled in shock, instinctively taking a step back.

These officers were merely small-time cops at the station, only the team leader had permission to carry a gun on duty, they didn’t even have the qualifications to touch one.

They had come on Zhao Si’s orders, knowing they were dealing with a young girl, so they were just small cops with handcuffs, no guns, not even tasers.

Li Gang stiffened completely, instinctively saying, ”Not only carrying prohibited items but also illegally possessing a gun, you’re doomed!”

As he said this, his gaze was maliciously fixed on Huo Sining, speaking through clenched teeth.

Huo Sining shook her head, ”Am I doomed, or are you guys finished? It seems you haven’t figured out the situation, being used as Zhao Si’s puppets, how silly! I’ve been waiting here for him to make a move, and to only send four lackeys, what a disappointment! I thought he had more tricks!”

Her words stunned Li Gang.

Li Gang wasn’t foolish, quickly realizing something was off.

This woman was so calm, not panicking even after being exposed for carrying prohibited items, not fleeing even after Zhao Si threatened her, staying put in Meishan Town, clearly not taking Zhao Si seriously at all.

To be this way, it meant this woman had something backing her.

Moreover, she casually drew a handgun from her pocket, even dared to threaten cops, such boldness wasn’t typical in a civilian.

Li Gang felt a chill in his heart, realizing he had misunderstood something.

At that moment, two people ran over, their faces instantly lighting up at seeing Huo Sining, shouting, ”Ningning, is it you?”

Because Huo Sining was wearing protective gear and a helmet, the two recognized her shape but weren’t sure.

Huo Sining turned her head in surprise at the voices, instantly tucking her gun away: ”Director Zheng, Sister Xing?”

Two disheveled women rushed over, embracing her:

”Is it really you? You’re okay, thank goodness, I was scared to death, thinking you were...”
