Reborn As Super Heiress

Capítulo 1760: Chapter 1662: Coveting

Xie Yuxing couldn’t fathom Huo Sining’s intentions, but the pressing issue at that moment was to resolve the current situation. Seconds ticked by, and Su Lingxue, who had been knocked out by Huo Sining, was beginning to show signs of regaining consciousness.

“For now, your task is to stay put in your room. No matter what happens, don’t come out.”

Huo Sining chuckled and somehow procured a DV camera: “Since Su Lingxue dared to frame us, I want to see how she’s going to escape this time!”

Xie Yuxing felt like crying and laughing at the same time. With the reporter crowd around, Su Lingxue had no chance to argue her way out of it, so there really was no need for all this.

However, what she was worried about was the text message on Luo Shaoqun’s phone. If it wasn’t deleted, the content of that message could very well become the strongest evidence for Su Lingxue and Luo Shaoqun to turn the tables.

Guessing what Xie Yuxing was concerned about, Huo Sining smiled confidently: “Don’t worry, the text message issue is not a big deal. You don’t have to worry about it. Get back quickly; there are only a few minutes left.”

Xie Yuxing didn’t know what Huo Sining planned to do, but having seen Huo Sining’s tactics against Su Lingxue before, she didn’t doubt for a second, nodded, and left the room, heading upstairs.

She barely made it halfway before her steps faltered. Turning back, she went downstairs and sat on a sofa in the corner of the lobby.

Meanwhile, after returning to the room, Huo Sining hurriedly called Gu Xu. Although it was already past three in the morning, the call was picked up almost immediately.

“Honey…”

Huo Sining cut to the chase: “You need to find a way to get some entertainment reporters to Yunli Film and Television Base, and they must be from large, influential media outlets!”

Gu Xu instantly sobered up from his drowsiness upon hearing Huo Sining’s words: “What’s wrong? Are you in trouble again?”

“It’s not me, it’s Sister Xing, the entertainment industry friend I’ve known for a while.”

Speaking quickly, Huo Sining continued, “I can’t explain it all right now. Anyway, it’s about Su Lingxue from last time. She was at a disadvantage because of me and hates my guts. She’s afraid of provoking me further, so she’s targeting Sister Xing to destroy her!”

Realizing that the issue wasn’t with Huo Sining, Gu Xu relaxed, but hearing that it was once again related to the “Pearl Powder” incident, his expression darkened: “Again with that Su Lingxue?”

Gu Xu didn’t ask what Huo Sining planned to do, instead saying, “Alright, I’ll get in touch with some people. They’ll reach out to you soon.”

“Great.” Knowing her husband could be relied upon, Huo Sining happily ended the call.

Xie Yuxing sat in the hotel lobby and, sure enough, didn’t wait long before seeing Luo Shaoqun and several others stagger in, waiting for the elevator.

Seeing this, Xie Yuxing hurriedly called Huo Sining, lowering her voice: “Luo Shaoqun’s drunk and waiting for an elevator in the lobby!”

Huo Sining wasn’t expecting Xie Yuxing not to heed her advice to stay in her room. Surprised, she urgently advised, “Sister Xing, hurry back to your room, don’t worry about anything else. I can handle it, just trust me!”

Xie Yuxing knew that Huo Sining could handle it, but since the whole ordeal began because of her, she couldn’t truly step back. If she could help Huo Sining even just a little, she had to stay involved.

Even if it’s just informing Huo Sining, at least she’s part of the action, which makes her feel somewhat better.

Seeing the elevator arrive, Xie Yuxing followed the others inside.

The elevator was crowded, and Xie Yuxing was jostled to the right side, standing right next to Luo Shaoqun.

Though drunk, Luo Shaoqun found her familiar: “Hey, aren’t you that… Xie Yuxing? Why aren’t you asleep yet?”

Xie Yuxing smiled: “Shaoqun, you just got back? I just woke up from being drunk, feeling queasy, so I went out for some fresh air.”

Luo Shaoqun chuckled, his gaze briefly flickering over Xie Yuxing’s slightly dull complexion. He was no longer interested in this aging woman.

Clearly, Luo Shaoqun had forgotten all about coercing Xie Yuxing into being his mistress and then using his connections to retaliate when she exposed him.

Seeing Xie Yuxing now, he couldn’t help but compare her to Huo Sining.

Huo Sining, young and beautiful, backed by immeasurable wealth and power, was beyond what a small-time actress like Xie Yuxing could rival.

So, Luo Shaoqun had lost interest in Xie Yuxing, unable to even recall having designs on her before.

In fact, if he thought about it, he knew Xie Yuxing and Huo Sining were close as peas in a pod. Her appearance downstairs alone should have raised suspicion.

But presently, his mind was clouded with lust, anticipating a steamy night with Huo Sining. He disregarded strange occurrences, too heated to bother.

Once the elevator stopped, Luo Shaoqun waved to the other actors and turned to head toward the room indicated in his messages.

Seeing him stagger unsteadily, Xie Yuxing quickly helped: “Shaoqun, slow down! Which room are you in? I’ll help you.”

Fearing she’d notice something, Luo Shaoqun pulled away quickly, eyes wavering: “I’m fine, you guys go on back.”

Xie Yuxing didn’t insist. After seeing him out of the elevator, she returned to her floor and hastily greeted the other actors goodnight before heading to her room.

Inside the room lay Huo Sining in wait, having hidden herself after Xie Yuxing’s call. A few minutes later, the door creaked open from the outside.

Huo Sining had left the door for Luo Shaoqun. The room’s lights were off except for one dim ceiling lamp, faintly illuminating a graceful figure on the bed.

Seeing the woman on the bed, Luo Shaoqun grew excited. Overcome with heat and desire, he rushed over without second thought.

Seizing the moment, Huo Sining delivered a swift blow, knocking Luo Shaoqun out cold too.
