Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 937: Chapter 933 Seeking Help

Unexpectedly, as soon as Huo Sining spoke, the middle-aged woman’s face changed dramatically: ”Shameless bitch, I haven’t even asked you to compensate for my losses, yet you want me to pay a salary? What’s the reasoning behind this, it’s ridiculous!”

Huo Sining remained calm: ”Madam, although I’m not certain if the Eastern Ocean Empire has labor laws, I’m sure Hinata has signed a contract with you. You have an employment relationship; she works for you, so you must pay her. You can’t negate this by being unreasonable.”

The woman pretended not to hear, instead threatening Huo Sining fiercely: ”I said no, so no it is. Hinata, if you keep making trouble, believe me, I’ll make it impossible for you to stay in Dongdu.”

Hinata Chinatsu was startled upon hearing the woman’s threat. She wasn’t a local, and coming to Dongdu for school had been a struggle before receiving her family’s approval. Dongdu has a high cost of living, so she has to rely on part-time jobs for her living expenses.

Though the woman only owns a few convenience store chains, she has considerable connections. If truly offended, she could very well sabotage matters behind the scenes, making it impossible for Hinata to find part-time work in Dongdu.

Considering this, Hinata Chinatsu became panicked and quickly tugged on Huo Sining’s hand, shaking her head in fear and timidity: ”Forget it, it’s not much, let’s not ask for it.”

Seeing Hinata Chinatsu’s obvious anxiety and concern — clearly terrified the woman would retaliate — Huo Sining sighed inwardly and agreed to Hinata’s request.

However, Huo Sining had no intention of backing down easily. Since the woman refused to pay, she decided to get the money from her son instead — it was all the same, getting it from family.

Taking Hinata Chinatsu to the hot pot restaurant, it was clear Hinata’s mind was elsewhere, barely interested even in the steaming hot pot.

Huo Sining knew that if she hadn’t intervened, the girl would continue to endure, staying at the convenience store, and might eventually be taken advantage of by the store owner’s son, swallowing humiliation alone.

Huo Sining couldn’t bear seeing the girl remain in this pit of fire, yet evidently, the girl faced financial hardship, and lacked the courage or qualifications to quit lightly. Ultimately driven by Huo Sining, Hinata found herself on a tiger-back ride, ultimately forced to resign with grit.

Though Huo Sining meant well, her impulsiveness nevertheless left Hinata Chinatsu in a predicament. In Dongdu, monthly expenses were no joke — a considerable amount — and without a job, Hinata had no source of income.

Not intending to leave her jobless, Huo Sining wouldn’t just stand by. But having been in Dongdu for barely over a week, apart from Nara Nigawa, she knew few people.

Thus, with no other option, she reached out to Nara Nigawa for help, calling him while enjoying the hot pot meal.

Huo Sining’s initial thought was to ask Nara to keep an eye out for part-time job opportunities at the shops in Ginza, or with his acquaintances. Unexpectedly, after just mentioning Hinata’s situation, Nara Nigawa laughed.

”Why bother looking elsewhere? I need help at my shop. Business has been good, and I’ve been wanting a suitable helper. Plus, didn’t you want me to be your guide for treasure hunting? If I go with you, my shop would have to close without someone to watch it.”

Nara Nigawa’s response left Huo Sining astounded. She smacked her forehead, thinking how she could have overlooked it.

”That’s perfect! My roommate is straightforward; she’d definitely work responsibly. I’ll introduce her to you so you can trust she’ll manage the shop well.”

Huo Sining quickly spoke well of Hinata Chinatsu.

Nara Nigawa was quite pleased: ”Anyone you refer, I have no worries. I trust your judgment, Huo-kun. From the sounds of it, Miss Hinata’s timing suits my shop’s business hours well. Usually, there’s not much business in the morning; it’s mostly afternoons and evenings. If your roommate agrees, she can come over; I won’t shortchange her salary.”

Hearing Nara Nigawa agree so readily, Huo Sining was overjoyed. Knowing what Nara was short on — his sincerity and kind-heartedness — she didn’t plan on taking advantage of him indefinitely. Once they began their treasure hunting across Eastern Ocean’s prefectures, she’d find a chance to suitably compensate Nara Nigawa, not owed for long.

Ending the call, Huo Sining eagerly shared the good news with Hinata Chinatsu. Upon hearing there was a job for a trial, her eyes lit up. Yet, upon hearing it was an antique shop, she hesitated.

”Huo Sining, things in antique shops are valuable, right? I know nothing about antiques; am I capable of doing this job?”

Hinata Chinatsu questioned her ability regarding the job, not doubting its authenticity but her own capability.

Huo Sining reassured her: ”You’re not being hired as an appraiser; it’s just manual work at the shop. It’s similar to being a cashier at the convenience store. Most of the goods are priced already, and you’re likely to handle cashing and cleaning; it’s not complicated. You’re not yet started, so don’t be timid. The shop owner is my friend, he’ll teach you. Just adapt, and you’ll manage.”

Hinata relaxed at Huo Sining’s words, nodding and taking a deep breath, her previously gloomy demeanor vanishing, smiling at Huo Sining: ”I’ll give it a try then. Let’s eat well today; tomorrow will be a fresh start!”

With that, she picked up chopsticks and delved into the hot pot, devouring with gusto, resembling the carefree Su Qingqing, which brought a reminiscent smile to Huo Sining’s face.

After eating, they prepared to return to school. At the entrance, Huo Sining suddenly recalled something: ”I just remembered, I have some personal matters to handle. You head back first, Hinata; I need to take care of it and will return later.”
