Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 936: Chapter 932: Being Bullied

”Really? Great, once I get off work, we’ll go have hot pot!”

As soon as Hinata Chinatsu heard about hot pot, her eyes lit up instantly, filled with joy and anticipation, sweeping away her previous downcast mood.

Huo Sining nodded with a smile. Although she harbored a hostile attitude towards Dongyang people like Hattori Keiko and Watanabe Yasu, she had to admit that among the Dongyang people, there were many whose tastes aligned with hers. For instance, Nara Nigawa and Hinata Chinatsu were very pure, kind-hearted, and without any guile.

Huo Sining started talking to Hinata Chinatsu about her jade gambling experience in Ginza today. Of course, she didn’t mention the bet with Hattori Keiko, just saying she had profited from a piece of jadeite, making a bit of money. Hearing this, Hinata Chinatsu felt both admiration and envy towards Huo Sining.

Jadeite was, after all, a luxury item that only the truly upper-class could access. Hinata Chinatsu was just an ordinary student from a modest family, hearing about jadeite gambling for the first time, so she was very interested and kept asking Huo Sining questions.

Huo Sining didn’t boast deliberately, just explained the basic knowledge about it to Chi Natsu. Suddenly, as they were chatting excitedly, a middle-aged woman in her forties or fifties rushed in from the entrance, glanced at Huo Sining, then stared harshly at Hinata Chinatsu, asking: ”Where’s Masao?”

This woman spoke in Dongyang language. Huo Sining could understand that she was probably looking for someone, and she glanced at Hinata Chinatsu with confusion.

Hinata Chinatsu’s face immediately turned pale, her whole body stiffened, and she slightly shrank back in fear.

The middle-aged woman coldly snorted, cursed in Dongyang language, whose meaning was unknown. At that moment, a young man in his twenties walked out from the bathroom, smoking a cigarette, defiantly arguing with the middle-aged woman, making her quite furious.

The young man seemed completely indifferent, went to the cashier counter, grabbed a box of chewing gum and condoms, holding a cigarette in his mouth, leering at Hinata Chinatsu. Then his eyes fell on Huo Sining, brazenly scrutinizing her, causing Huo Sining to frown tightly unconsciously.

Only then did Huo Sining sense something was amiss. When she had entered, Hinata Chinatsu had rushed out from the bathroom like a startled bird. At first, Huo Sining thought Hinata Chinatsu was upset from being scolded by the boss. But now it seemed that wasn’t the case. There was an awkward man hidden in the bathroom, not just Hinata Chinatsu alone.

Seeing the man’s lecherous gaze and Hinata Chinatsu’s terrified, stiff body, head bowed deeply, Huo Sining could discern something unusual, even if she wasn’t particularly astute.

Her heart chilled suddenly. Hinata Chinatsu was just like a little white rabbit. The middle-aged woman appeared to be the boss of the convenience store. The female owner looked fierce and mean, evident she often exploited her employees, while the young man, being the owner’s son, took advantage of Hinata Chinatsu’s innocent appearance, seizing the chance to harass her.

Huo Sining was unclear of previous circumstances, but witnessing today’s incident, she could guess the truth fairly accurately. Her heart burnt with anger, casting a deepening look of disgust towards the awkward man.

With the female owner present, the young man naturally understood today’s plan was futile. He shot Hinata Chinatsu a glance, made a filthy gesture, his eyes flashing with greed and determination, then triumphantly walked out.

Hinata Chinatsu was already frightened pale and frozen. As her son finally left, the female owner couldn’t suppress her anger anymore, starting to curse at Hinata Chinatsu. Though Huo Sining didn’t understand the language, she understood the content through the female owner’s twisted, mean expression.

It was nothing more than scolding her for seducing the son, just a poor worker, thinking her son was interested in her, only because she had some looks, to fool around with her, warning her to stay away from her son, threatening to fire her and beat her until her mother wouldn’t recognize her!

The female owner kept cursing, and Hinata Chinatsu felt aggrieved, yet dared not rebut, shrinking to minimize her presence, eyes red with tears brimming, full of endurance and humiliation.

Seeing this scene, Huo Sining’s expression turned unpleasant, unable to stand it further, she abruptly interrupted the woman’s rant: ”Hinata, where’s your dignity? You’re a student at Sota University; how can you endure such insults? Come on, I’ll introduce you to a better job. Quit now. Why should you take such insults after being bullied?”

Huo Sining’s anger surged uncontrollably. Though calm usually, the sight of Hinata Chinatsu triggered memories of her past life, managing various low-paying jobs, enduring insult and bullying just for two or three thousand yuan a month.

So, unable to tolerate anymore, Huo Sining ignored the bewildered female owner and pulled Hinata Chinatsu out.

Hinata Chinatsu was caught off guard, and as Huo Sining dragged her out, she came to her senses, wanting to break free from Huo Sining’s grasp.

Yet, as if unexpectedly, the middle-aged female owner rushed out, threw Hinata Chinatsu’s backpack and clothes to the ground, her face contorted with bitterness and venom:

”Can’t stand it, huh? Want to quit? You think I care, shameless brat. Don’t think I don’t know what you’re thinking, dreaming of climbing into men’s beds at a young age, wanting to become a Phoenix! Get out, if I hadn’t had to pay severance, I’d have fired you long ago!”

Hinata Chinatsu initially intended to apologize to the owner but, hearing those words, her anger boiled over. Trembling fiercely, she glared at the female owner, then slowly bent down and picked up the backpack and clothes, saying calmly to Huo Sining: ”Let’s go.”

Then Huo Sining suddenly halted, remembering something. Turning to the female owner, she used unpolished Dongyang language to say sternly: ”Miss, Hinata quit. You still owe her a week’s salary, the pay she’s rightfully entitled to!”
