Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 933: Chapter 929 Negotiation Failure

The hooligans behind Huo Sining saw her running toward a dead-end alley and laughed loudly, cursing as they went, ”Stupid woman, keep running! It’s a dead end ahead. Let’s see how you escape!”

As Huo Sining ran forward and heard the words ”dead end”, she shuddered imperceptibly, yet her feet frantically continued moving forward.

After running for dozens of meters and turning a corner, she indeed saw a high wall in front of her.

It was truly a dead end, leaving Huo Sining stunned and her mind blank.

The alley was eerily silent, filled only with the sound of her pounding heartbeat and urgent breathing. She had no choice but to retreat, pressing her back against the wall to feel some semblance of safety.

Watching helplessly as those hooligans caught up, their faces twisted into ferocious sneers as they approached step by step, Huo Sining’s heart pounded wildly. She forced herself to stay calm because, in this situation, a clear mind was her only means to navigate through this crisis.

Instincts told Huo Sining that there was something fishy about these people. Thinking back to the strange occurrences with Hattori Keiko and that fat woman at the jade-betting shop, she already had a suspicion in mind.

Judging by their looks, these people were probably sent either by Hattori Keiko or that fat shopkeeper, all aiming for the piece of violet eye jade she held.

Huo Sining’s face hardened as she coldly asked the menacing hooligans, ”Did Hattori Keiko send you?”

The hooligans were visibly startled but only paused for a second. The leader of the hooligans sneered, ”Miss Huo, you should have known better. Since it has come to this point, I’m not afraid to tell you the truth. We are with the Hattori Family. You offended Miss Hattori, and now you must face the consequences by yourself!”

Now that it had reached this stage, Huo Sining found there was nothing left to fear. She decided to stand tall and confidently, looking at the hooligans, and retorted with a cold laugh:

”Hattori Keiko overestimated herself by pestering me, yet her skills were insufficient, and she lost to me. Is she still not convinced by the loss? She’s really got the nerve; even after losing the match and not holding her end of the deal, she keeps coming after me. Don’t you fear her breaking promises and backstabbing you after you’ve done her bidding?”

The hooligans exchanged glances, with hesitation and uncertainty flickering in their eyes. Although Huo Sining exaggerated a bit, her words were not entirely without merit.

After all, Hattori Keiko had just used her personal secretary as a scapegoat without hesitation. Such acts were insignificant affairs to the Hattori Family.

Seeing some of their expressions change, Huo Sining knew that a few of them were wavering. She felt a thrill and pressed her advantage:

”In Huaxia Country, I am somewhat of a public figure, with a background no less significant than the Hattori Family’s. Once you go against me, it won’t be long before the embassy hears about it.”

”When this news reaches Huaxia Country, Dongyang’s side will face enormous public pressure. The Hattori Family will likely push you out to placate the anger, and your lives will be on the line with no one to save you.”

With that, Huo Sining smiled slightly, negotiating, ”I know working under the Hattori Family isn’t easy for you. How about this: let me go, and I’ll give you a million each. How does that sound?”

On hearing the offer of a million, the hooligans initially showed scornful and disdainful expressions, thinking it too cheap for a life. Did this woman take them for fools!

Noticing their misinterpretation, Huo Sining chuckled, ”I meant a million RMB, not Dongyang Currency.”

”Hattori Keiko sent you to teach me a lesson, surely just to vent her anger. You can simply say you lost track of me, and she won’t really punish you. At most, she might fire you, and with a million, you could live freely wherever you wish.”

”As long as neither of us talks, no one will know. Having this money means you won’t need to risk your lives for the Hattori Family anymore, living in constant fear. Isn’t this a good deal?”

Huo Sining’s words left the hooligans stunned. A million RMB was close to twenty million Dongyang Currency, an amount these men had never seen in their lifetime. Hearing this, their eyes sparkled with undeniable eagerness.

However, the leader of the hooligans sobered quickly, his face hardening again.

Though that million could make them rich and free from this life of violence, they realized it wouldn’t remain a secret if they accepted Huo Sining’s money. The Hattori Family’s capabilities would inevitably learn of it, and by offending them, they’d lose not only money but possibly their lives too.

The leading hooligan turned around, shouted harshly in Dongyang at his group, and the originally greedy expressions turned to fear and apprehension after his rebuke.

Seeing this, a chill ran through Huo Sining’s heart. Not good, she thought.

As expected, after scolding them, the hooligan turned back with icy eyes on Huo Sining:

”Miss Huo, you’re indeed shrewd and resourceful! Unfortunately, your tricks won’t work on us. I advise you to be obedient, hand over the High Ice Type Violet Eye, and come with us!”

A cold smile twisted in Huo Sining’s heart. She knew Hattori Keiko was after the violet eye jade. Knowing better than anyone how rare a Superior Jadeite was, Hattori Keiko couldn’t let go of it while also choking on her gambling loss, so she would move to strike.

Huo Sining already imagined that if she went with these hooligans, given Hattori Keiko’s hatred and cruelty, her own end would be grim.

Since it had come to this, she couldn’t be blamed for fighting back. Huo Sining feigned panic, looking terrified, but quietly reached behind her back where she was leaning against the wall, retrieving something from her storage ring.
