The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

This was the escort agency not acting properly on its own, Yuan Gui had foreseen it.

After handling matters in the prefecture, he returned to the house in Liufang Alley in the county town, which is now his home.

As for the original house, he didn’t sell it, he’s not short of money at the moment, so he rented it out first.

Then he enthusiastically threw himself into his business, starting to deliver goods to the capital and Changjin Prefecture.

After delivering to these two places and understanding the routes, Yuan Gui didn’t stay at home. He knew Shu Yu had a batch of goods to be sent to the southwest, but it’s too far, the Lu family doesn’t have a shop there, at most they occasionally ask someone going to the escort agency to deliver it.

However, Yuan Gui still plans to take advantage of this time to make a trip to the southwest, he needs to familiarize himself with the route, so as not to stumble and fumble through after Shu Yu opens a shop there.

Last month, he set off to the southwest with Wan Dingliang.

According to him, he’ll definitely be back before the end of the year.

Yuan Gui is so hardworking and diligent to make a career, Granny Fang, although she wishes he could get married soon, doesn’t want to hold him back, stopping him from going out at such a crucial time.

Nowadays, she’ll see this Ying Dong and Hua Xian’s marriage preparations being made enthusiastically, her heart feeling somewhat contemplative.

The old lady said, ”No hurry, he said he’s coming back before the year. He’ll always be at home during the New Year, and your families live close, so there’ll be more opportunities. If the two of them don’t see eye to eye, we’ll look at others.”

”Okay.”

Shu Yu listened to the chat between the two old ladies beside her, like a transparent onlooker, silently complaining in her heart.

Who knew, as they talked, they ended up talking about her.

”Yu, yesterday Yun told me that there’s an important matter for him coming back this time, it’s to finalize your marriage. When do you think you have time to pick a date with him?”

Shu Yu, ”...”

”No hurry.”

”Why not hurry? You’ve been engaged for years. When Yun passes the Advanced Scholar next year, he’ll be back around May, which is only half a year away. You two getting married will surely be lively, so start preparing early, won’t you?”

Shu Yu coughed lightly, ”But no need to start half a year early.”

”Of course it’s needed, you’re still a child, don’t understand these things. Look at your friends, they’re all over the place, right? Whether they come or not, you have to notify them, what if they’re just free to come? And Yun’s uncle and them are all in Chenggu County, don’t both sides have to discuss how to invite guests? Both sides are far apart, discussing already takes a lot of time. And your master, you’re getting married, you must tell her, right? See if she’s coming back.”

Shu Yu froze, come to think of it... it makes sense.

Her master has been gone for two years since they last parted. She said she was going to the capital, but who knows where she is now.

The old lady nudged her forehead, ”You, your mind is all on business, not even your lifelong matter are you hurrying. I see Yun knows more than you, look at him arranging things as soon as he’s back.”

Shu Yu touched her nose, ”Alright, alright, when he comes back, we’ll go pick a date.”

”Don’t pick too late, if Yun comes back in May, I think June would be good.”

Shu Yu, ”Wouldn’t it be too hot then?”
