The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1230: Chapter 1230: The Unconscionable Meng Yunzheng

Ying Xi nodded, “Those two days, Young Master Meng took my brother out early in the morning, but they didn’t tell me what they were doing. Until the morning we set off, my brother suddenly said, we were going to watch a spectacle, and we could leave after watching it.”

Then they went to a place in the city… a restaurant, where Yao An was.

This restaurant did not belong to the Yao Family, and it was said that Yao An was drinking here the night before, got drunk and refused to go home, and the shopkeeper, knowing his identity, opened a room for him on the second floor.

Ying Xi still didn’t understand what spectacle there was to watch here, when Yao An jumped from the second floor of the restaurant.

His injuries were not healed yet, and he fainted immediately after jumping.

Coincidentally, the prefecture’s constables were patrolling this area, and they thought there was a murder case, suspecting that Yao An was pushed from the second floor. While finding someone to revive Yao An, they blocked everyone inside the restaurant, not allowing anyone to leave.

Soon after, several constables went upstairs and searched the room.

To everyone’s shock, the person lying on the bed unconscious was Wang Jiayi.

Although the Wang Family wasn’t a prominent family, Wang Jiayi was a respectable young lady.

Moreover, Wang Jiayi was Yao An’s cousin, her mother was Yao An’s Aunt, a very fierce and formidable woman.

And it was said that Aunt Wang had intended to climb up the social ladder by marrying into the Yao Family, which was why she let her daughter stay at the Yao residence under the guise of being a relative.

Now that such a thing had happened, how could the Wang Family let it go?

Ying Xi said, “Although we left after watching the spectacle, my brother mentioned it. Yao An failed his tasks in the capital and couldn’t secure any official position, but instead implicated his family, which greatly displeased the head of the Yao Family. Old Master Yao began to cultivate his other sons. Yao An, being somewhat like an abandoned son, didn’t really care who he married anymore.”

Though they had already left Huajiang Prefecture, they could guess the subsequent events. Yao An would most likely marry Wang Jiayi.

“They deserve it, one wants to harm the young lady, the other wants to harm Yao Po’s young madam, perfect for each other to mutually hurt.”

Shu Yu raised her brows, “Isn’t it just mutual harm? Yao An knows Wang Jiayi’s true feelings, marrying a wife who’s thinking about another man, he’s bound to be furious.”

It’s best to bind these two together, so they don’t harm others.

Ying Xi nodded, “Later my brother said, that day Yao An jumped downstairs because the door in front was locked. Wang Jiayi was still unconscious, he had to slip away quickly before she woke up, so he had no choice but to use the window. Underneath that window was actually a small alley, hardly anyone passed by usually, and if sneaked away through there, maybe he wouldn’t be discovered.”

“But he didn’t know that there was a small vendor selling goods at a corner he couldn’t see, with a crowd gathered around picking stuff. When Yao An, half covering his face, grabbed the bedsheets and tried to slowly climb down from the second floor, the small vendor pointed at him in surprise. Once everyone looked up to the second floor, Young Master Meng hit his hand with a stone, causing him to fall directly.”

And then his true face was revealed.

Shu Yu’s lips twitched, “How… despicable. I’m afraid Yao An will think it was Wang Jiayi who set him up.”

The master and servant were talking when Hua Xian knocked on the door from outside, “Second Miss, Madam Xiang is here.”
