The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1203: Chapter 1203 Zhao Xi Buys a House

Fang Cong scratched his head, “It’s nothing, I just thought Second Young Lady was a customer here to place an order. Since it’s Second Young Lady wanting to build a workshop, naturally there’s no problem with that.”

Shu Yu raised an eyebrow.

Fang Cong continued, “Actually, the boss was planning to build a workshop for Second Young Lady, which is why I was instructed to push all the new large orders to next year.”

Shu Yu was surprised, “Dad, you knew?”

“Of course I knew, Daniu told me. You asked him to look for a spacious piece of land. I also know when your sunflowers will mature. Once they do, without a workshop, nothing can be done,” Lu Erbai said. “Originally, with you staying in the capital and not coming back, Daniu and I discussed that if you didn’t return in another half a month, we would first buy the land and start building the workshop. Otherwise, it would be too late.”

Although Lu Erbai had been busy to the point of having little hair, he still paid attention to his daughter’s affairs.

He had been to the manor a few times and seen the sunflowers growing.

Seeing those hundreds of acres of land, Lu Erbai knew his daughter’s efforts were not small. If there’s a delay, wouldn’t the hard work of over half a year be in vain?

However, Lu Erbai didn’t have much money. The silver he’d painstakingly saved up was spent on opening the shop, buying materials, and paying wages, leaving very little left over.

Fortunately, Yu always left some money at home for emergencies, so they didn’t have to worry about the funds for buying land.

That’s why he only took on large orders for half a month later. Small orders weren’t a problem; he could fit them in when he had time.

Shu Yu pursed her lips, “Thank you, Dad.”

“No need to be polite with your father.” Lu Erbai patted her shoulder. “Whenever you buy the land, I can start working.”

“There’s still plenty of time. I’ll go out of town now to finalize the land for the workshop.”

“Isn’t it a bit rushed? You can do it tomorrow.”

“It’s fine. Finishing early will bring peace of mind sooner.”

Lu Erbai didn’t stop her. Shu Yu drank a sip of the tea Fang Cong brought, then turned around and left the shop.

Who would have thought that just as she stepped out, she would run into Zhao Xi?

She looked at Zhao Xi and then at Old Doctor Zhao beside him.

“You, you two are…?”

Zhao Xi said, “We’re here to look for houses.”

With the wedding approaching, he couldn’t very well continue living in the large house on Fenghuai Street after getting married, could he?

Zhao Xi and his mentor discussed it when they returned yesterday. Although they didn’t mind living anywhere themselves, Shuyou’s shop was in Jiangyuan County. She couldn’t leave, so both mentor and disciple decided to acquire property here.

Old Doctor Zhao often traveled to practice medicine, so the house was primarily for the couple to live in.

Zhao Xi planned to buy a house with at least two courtyards, and it had to be relatively close to Yiren Pavilion.

After pondering, they followed the intermediary’s recommendation to come here.

Unexpectedly, this place was also very close to Lu Erbai’s shop.

Old Doctor Zhao immediately decided not to go any further, “Then I’ll discuss the wedding with Brother Lu, have a cup of tea, and you can go with the intermediary to look around more, then bring Ah You to finalize it.”

After speaking, Old Doctor Zhao went straight into the shop, looking very tired and unwilling to walk anymore.

Zhao Xi, “…” Truly unreliable.

He turned to Shu Yu and smiled, “Why don’t you come with me? You have a good eye.”

You’re really good at recruiting help.
