My Alleged Husband

Chapter 798: Chapter 764: Admitting a Mistake_1

Ran Zhihan knew that her husband’s apology to her mother was for her own good.

After all, the whole affair had started because of her, and she should bear the responsibility no matter what. If her husband shouldered all the responsibility for her sake, then what would be the point of her role as a wife? As a wife, shouldn’t she be willing to go through fire and water for her husband? If she blamed her own mistakes on her husband, wouldn’t that also be a kind of debt she owed him in her heart?

”Mom, I’m sorry about this matter; I really didn’t do it on purpose, and I didn’t expect that I would blurt out those things in a fit of anger. You know I’m not a malicious woman. I understand that everything happens for a reason, and I hope you can be magnanimous enough to forgive me.”

This matter has nothing to do with your son; he had no idea I would stand up to you like this, and he never imagined that one day I would interact with you in this way. So please, don’t blame him. If there is a fault, let it be mine alone. You can punish me however you wish, as long as our family can live happily together. Just to give my husband a complete family is enough for me.”

Xia Jing had not anticipated that her daughter-in-law would go to such lengths for her son.

Seeing her son’s family so harmonious, as it was now, she suddenly felt very envious. If she had cherished the people around her sooner and stayed with her husband earlier, would the outcome have been different? If everyone could stay lovingly together forever, would they not just continue to live happily, without becoming so passive and embarrassed?

”You say this matter is not your fault at all, I know that you’ve done this for your family. So don’t worry, I won’t blame anyone. Since everyone has already forgiven us, we should get along well, shouldn’t we? Let’s not argue over any more unpleasant matters. That would only amuse those waiting to laugh at us, wouldn’t it?”

”What we should be doing now is waiting, waiting for our family member to wake up and return to our side. We should maintain a positive attitude while we wait, shouldn’t we? If we argue over and over again, how would that be any good? Hearing that won’t make him happy, nor will it make me happy. She also wouldn’t want her family to be arguing every day, right?”

”Mom, I’m sorry. I never imagined you could be such a good mother. If I had known earlier how good-tempered you are, I would never have said those things to you, words that hurt your self-esteem so much.

I’m simply a terrible person. Why couldn’t I consider things from your perspective? Why am I so selfish? What good does that do me? It was simply a moment of madness when I did something I shouldn’t have. I truly regret it now, and I thank you for your magnanimity in forgiving me. With such a generous heart, your return to our family should make every one of us very happy!”

Old Master Zhang had become somewhat depressed staying in his hospital room. He didn’t want to continue there any longer; he slowly walked along the corridor’s railing, over to see how his son was doing. Although his grandson had repeatedly told him his son was all right, he couldn’t rest easy. As a father, how could he not worry about his son?

He couldn’t obtain accurate information, and none of the medical staff would relay the true situation to this old man, because everyone thought he couldn’t handle it. But who knew that his consciousness had become extremely strong now?

He was changing his own mindset slowly, both waiting for his son and hoping for the best. His only wish was for his son to wake up and stay by his side.
