My Alleged Husband

Chapter 778: Chapter 748: The Call of Family (Part 4)_1

Ran Zhihan, although he now knows that whatever he says to his parents may not awaken them from their slumber, he truly cannot bear the thought of them sleeping like this forever. To him, perhaps nothing else in this life matters, but the most important thing is whether he can live happily. Yet, they never thought that one day, their own son would shed sincere tears for them.

Ran Zhihan is not a heartless person. He also understands that if he stood by, indifferent while his husband agonized in pain, it would result only in repeated quarrels. He really does not want his family to become a battleground for disputes.

Actually, everyone has their own selfish desires. Some people will do anything, regardless of the consequences, to get what they want, while there are others who would give up many perfect things for the happiness and well-being of everyone. Each person’s understanding and attitude towards a situation is different, leading to completely different outcomes in the end.

He doesn’t know how to call out to his parents in a way that might wake them up.

”Mom and Dad, do you really have the heart to lie here and continue to sleep like this, day after day, month after month, year after year? Do you really think living like this is meaningful? You lie here senseless, but have you considered how much pain and suffering those who are alive go through because of you?”

Maybe there are things that I shouldn’t say to you, but do you really understand? As a son, how tortured he feels inside. Yet as a father, he has to set a good example for his child, teaching his child to learn from his strengths. But time and time again, he endures this torture. Have you, as parents, considered how difficult and distressing it is for your child to live like this?

In truth, you haven’t thought about it, because deep down, you don’t really care what your child is going through. All you wanted was to uphold your own peaceful theories.

You always think that what you do is for the good of your children, but you forget that in the end, your actions hurt your child the most. He cannot understand why his parents would do such a thing, nor can he comprehend why his parents would choose again and again to hurt him.

But from the moment your son chose to forgive you, he turned all his resentments to ashes, no longer holding onto past hatreds or grievances.

But have you, as parents, ever thought about how hard and exhausting it is for your child to live?

Time and again, he has given so much for you, always taking your feelings into account. He thinks that as long as he can stay by your side, he can ignore everything else. All he wanted was to live peacefully, to gain understanding from his mom and dad, but all you ever gave him was pain. Have you ever considered what he really wants? In your eyes, I truly don’t understand what your son means to you, and what kind of environment this family is?

Mom and Dad, if there is even a little bit of guilt in your hearts, please remember, you can hurt anyone at any time, just never hurt your own family. Family is precious and will be there to help you through the hardest times, unlike your enemies who will keep clashing with you, becoming your strongest opponents.

Do you know? When I saw your son sitting here talking to you, with tears in his eyes, do you know how heartbroken I felt? He is my husband, and I never want him to shed a tear for me, because I know that men don’t easily show their tears. But the following line, ’it is only when the heart truly grieves,’ proves his inner world actually cares about you. For you, he can disregard everything, any result.

I beg you, please wake up, no matter what you become when you do. I hope you can wake up so that your family standing outside does not have to worry anymore. Although you may not be able to move freely, just being conscious means everything to them.”

Ran Zhihan does not care whether his parents can hear these words or not, he just keeps speaking his heart out because he knows that if he doesn’t say them now, it will truly be over. He wants everyone to know that things are not as difficult as they seem.

He is waiting for his parents to hear his call and open their eyes, but no matter how intently he stares at their eyes, they never flicker. His spirit is sinking little by little, his hope shattering bit by bit. He really doesn’t know with what attitude he should face such a life.

”Mom and Dad, perhaps in your eyes, it’s still not time to wake up.

You just keep sleeping, wanting to see how important you are in the hearts of your own family. But don’t you realize that in doing this, you are hurting your loved ones? Grandpa has already been shattered with worry and admitted to the hospital. He can no longer withstand any shocks, and the ones you have given him are tremendously painful. He has never considered what outcome he might face because all that matters to him is his family’s happiness—as long as his family is happy, he is satisfied with everything.

No one in the family is greedy; living a simple, honest life, as long as the family is together and happy, that is what matters most. But do you know? Your departure has brought so much pain to these people. I really want to ask you, can you truly bear it? How can you bear to see your own family suffer so much because of you? Do you really willingly sleep on, never to wake up again?”
