Transmigrated as a Peasant Baby Who is Pampered by All

Chapter 424: Chapter 263: Liu Qingfeng

For wealthy families, you should know, this is a very disgraceful matter, especially since Liu Ze is the legitimate son!

Of course, his family only has legitimate sons and daughters, but that’s another matter.

Second Aunt was moved by Jiang Hu’s words. Although she knew that what Uncle Liu said about falling seriously ill after leaving the examination hall happened only to a few, thinking it might happen to her own child, she was still worried.

”Why don’t we go and ask Uncle Liu first?”

If Uncle Liu thinks it’s feasible, then there should be no problem.

The two were planning to discuss it with Uncle Liu after lunch, but unexpectedly, someone came to them first.

”Uncle Jiang, Auntie, are you busy?”

It was Liu Qingfeng.

”Ah, Qingfeng? Why are you here? Didn’t Xiao Ze say he’d take you around the village?”

Jiang Hu put down the kitchen knife, wiped his hands, and led Liu Qingfeng outside.

Liu Qingfeng performed a junior’s salute: ”Uncle Jiang, actually there’s something I’d like to discuss with you today.”

Jiang Hu quickly helped him up: ”No need to be so formal, just say what you need.”

Although he wasn’t very familiar with their parents, he had been dealing with Uncle Liu for several years, treating Uncle Liu’s grandson as if he were his own junior.

Although this junior wasn’t much younger than him.

Liu Qingfeng was straightforward and directly said: ”Actually, I came today mainly for Xiao Ze. You know that Xiao Ze’s health isn’t good...”

What a coincidence it was the matter Jiang Hu and Second Aunt were just discussing!

Their thoughts aligned perfectly!

Liu Ze’s parents were more concerned about their son’s health than anyone else, which is why they specifically sent their eldest son to discuss the matter with Jiang Hu.

Since both sides had the same thoughts, there was no need to hesitate, and they agreed on the spot.

Half a month before the courtyard exams started, they packed up and sent their belongings by fast horse to arrive just in time for the exams, without worrying about the items spoiling over time.

As long as their son’s health was ensured, spending a bit more money was nothing to Madam Liu.

Once the matter was settled, Liu Qingfeng suddenly looked hesitant: ”Uncle Jiang, actually there’s another thing I’d like to discuss with you.”

Originally, he planned to run it by his grandfather first and have him ask, but after a brief exchange, just as his second brother said, Uncle Jiang was straightforward, so he decided to speak himself.

Jiang Hu nodded: ”Whatever it is, just say it. You’re Xiao Ze’s brother, so you’re like Xiao Ze; don’t be too polite, or it feels distant.”

Although the two families rarely met, they hadn’t broken off contact over the years, and if they had some rare good items, they would send a bit to the other’s family.

Liu Qingfeng smiled, gathered his thoughts: ”It’s like this, my wife was diagnosed as pregnant last month, and she has been emotionally unstable, always feeling stifled at home and uneasy outside.”

”I’ve been worried for a few days now, and today I found that Xiangmu Village is a good place for recuperation, so I thought of building a small courtyard nearby so that my wife can relax in the village.”

”But building a courtyard isn’t something that can be done in a short time, so I wanted to ask Uncle Jiang if we could stay at your place for a while.”

Jiang Hu thought it was something else, but as soon as these words were spoken, he agreed directly.

”Oh, it’s no problem at all. We have plenty of empty rooms in the house, you can stay wherever you like, as long as you don’t mind it being small!”

”Especially regarding meals, you don’t need to bring any; just treat it as your own home. If you want to eat something, just let Auntie Yang help make it.”

They would be leaving in a few days, but Liu Bo, Qixi, and Auntie Yang would still be at home to help look after the fields.

Liu Qingfeng was overjoyed: ”That’s great, thank you, Uncle Jiang! I’ll bring my wife over tomorrow!”

His wife had strong reactions, and the doctor said everyone is different; some women like to eat after getting pregnant, while some are severely nauseous. His wife was one who lets her imagination run wild.

Although it’s not a serious issue, the doctor also said that this trait can be trivial or serious, for fear that it could lead to thoughts of self-harm if it worsens.

He was anxious too, bothered at home every day, but found it uncomfortable being outside because of the noise, and even didn’t want to see her close friends.

It was today at Xiangmu Village that she felt at ease just looking around; there was no sense of oppression she mentioned about the small house, which sparked the idea.

Who knows, their house wasn’t small at all – a five-entry mansion, housing just the family and some servants, very spacious!

But a pregnant woman’s feelings needed to be considered. His mother also said a woman is most prone to wild thoughts when pregnant, so he could only go along with it.

But truly, living in the city surrounded by people and houses everywhere, coming to the fields and mountains is indeed a different experience, making one feel much calmer.

Living and studying in such a place could certainly improve one’s temperament, right? No wonder Second Brother changed a lot, becoming much more stable after staying in the countryside for a few years.
