Transmigrated as a Peasant Baby Who is Pampered by All

Chapter 412: Chapter 259: Entering the Space (3)

After returning home, they never mentioned the ’skipping school’ plan for tomorrow. Xiaomi was worried about whether Wei Ziang could persuade Jiang Wei, but worrying seemed useless, so they could only wait for tomorrow.

The next morning, as usual, they went up the mountain to hunt. Xiaocao happily informed Xiaomi that her father agreed to find someone to help make a suitable bow for her.

Xiaomi was happy for her too and decided to teach her some body strengthening techniques.

Like push-ups, sit-ups, using appropriate stones as dumbbells to train arm strength, etc.

Of course, she knew that women of this era avoided discussing physiological topics, never mentioned them, and weren’t aware that girls should rest well during certain days.

Therefore, even though Xiaocao was not yet ten and hadn’t reached the age of physiological development, Xiaomi still carefully instructed her that when she reaches that period, she should not train and should rest well, etc.

Xiaocao listened with some understanding and some confusion, her face flushed, but she took it seriously and remembered it.

So Xiaomi decided not to hunt anymore and first taught Xiaocao some correct exercise postures, taking advantage of the empty mountain to prevent Xiaocao from feeling shy.

God knows how unbelievable Xiaocao found exercises like push-ups and sit-ups; in her eyes, these actions were quite inelegant!

Luckily, Xiaomi was also a girl; if it were a boy, he might have run off immediately.

They were delayed today and returned home empty-handed at noon. After lunch, Xiaomi informed her parents and then went up the mountain with Xiaohei.

Halfway there, she took a steaming chicken drumstick from her space and wrapped it in oiled cloth.

This wasn’t something she hid at noon, nor did she make it herself; she had Ling’er prepare it.

In case Wei Ziang arrived early and hadn’t eaten lunch, it could be a quick meal.

Xiaomi jogged and reached the fork in the path, only to find that Wei Ziang hadn’t arrived yet.

Had he not succeeded?

The next moment, she saw Wei Ziang walking out from the end of the path.

The two happily reunited and learned that Wei Ziang had eaten before leaving, and Jiang Wei wouldn’t know Wei Ziang had left the academy midway.

Xiaomi still gave him the chicken drumstick, telling him to eat quickly. It wasn’t a short distance from the city gate, and he’d likely used up his lunch energy.

Wei Ziang didn’t refuse Xiaomi’s kindness, only his face couldn’t hide the smile while eating the drumstick.

Following the same process as yesterday, they climbed another mountain. Near the top, Xiaomi blindfolded Wei Ziang and led him to the cave.

Xiaomi instructed Xiaohei to monitor the surroundings, then took Xiaohei into the space.

Again, after two hours, Ling’er reminded Xiaomi on time, and they smoothly left the space.

On the way down, they parted ways at the fork; Wei Ziang returned to the academy and would come back with others after school.

However, Xiaomi remained curious about how Wei Ziang managed to evade Jiang Wei’s notice since they were at the same academy and seemingly in the same class.

After all, they enrolled together, so how could Wei Ziang skip a whole afternoon of classes without Jiang Wei noticing?

Unfortunately, Xiaomi asked several times, but Wei Ziang never explained in detail. She had to let it go.

And so it continued for two months, day after day.

Xiaocao’s bow and arrows arrived, and in the mornings, Xiaomi taught her archery, practicing precision and hunting as well.

Her aim improved significantly; she used to only hit stationary prey, but now occasionally caught flying or running animals.

Xiaocao was just starting, only practicing accuracy on the target.

Of course, there were moments of discouragement, especially after half a day of practice, when her back was sore, and her hands cramped. She felt like giving up.

But upon thinking that Xiaomi had practiced target shooting tirelessly for one or two years, and seeing her occasional bountiful harvests, she gritted her teeth and continued.

After lunch, Xiaomi would go up the mountain, meet Wei Ziang there, and then guide him into the space for sword practice.

In just two months, both of their swordsmanship improved significantly. Especially Xiaomi, who barely felt a faint flow of energy moving at her Dantian.

This was likely the legendary inner strength; she couldn’t think of any other explanation.

Wei Ziang was a bit behind, considering Xiaomi had better advantages, but to reach her current level, he too should be close.

After two hours, they parted ways again, one heading back to the city, the other home.

What surprised Xiaomi was that after two whole months, Jiang Wei hadn’t noticed anything amiss; he had no idea Wei Ziang hadn’t attended afternoon classes every day.

Sadly, until now, Xiaomi still didn’t know how Wei Ziang managed to do it.
