Transmigrated as a Peasant Baby Who is Pampered by All

Chapter 444: Chapter 274: Guests Have Arrived

A big pot of spicy hot pot was divided into over twenty portions.

You have to admit, Master Yang’s touch is really something. Each portion was exactly the same amount, just enough for two bites.

The only difference, probably, was that aside from vermicelli, the other toppings were all different.

Wang Fu had a good memory, and each person could only taste for free once. He remembered everyone who had already tasted, so anyone hoping to sneak a second try had no chance!

At this time, Xiaomi quietly withdrew, pulling Wei Ziang along.

The reason she stepped forward to call out earlier was probably because she had the thickest skin.

After all, when she presented her plan, the three big men all hesitated, as if none dared to take that step.

At this moment, the two usual waiters who greeted the customers had been sent out to do other things, so they wouldn’t return for a while. ℯ

So Xiaomi volunteered.

Now that the customers were gathering, Wang Fu, being a well-informed manager, could naturally handle it well.

With a few words, he explained what spicy hot pot was. This novel way of eating, combined with the affordable price, immediately aroused everyone’s curiosity.

As for using vermicelli instead of noodles or something else, that wasn’t important. As long as it wasn’t expensive and could fill their stomachs, they were fine with it.

”Shopkeeper, it’s about mealtime now, can we go eat?”

Those who had already earned some money in the morning were instantly tempted.

He had just tasted it and truth be told, it was quite good. If he wanted to eat noodles with five copper coins, it would only have a little oil and salt, with no other flavor.

And five copper coins worth of noodles wouldn’t even be enough to fill you up.

”Of course, you can come to eat any time until closing time in the evening.”

Wang Fu nodded with a cheerful smile, it seemed that today would finally be a earning day.

Although this spicy hot pot disrupted his previous plans, it also made him consider another possibility.

If feasible, establishing themselves in Fuzhou wouldn’t seem too difficult, and there’d be no need to worry about being suppressed.

After all, for most merchants, this kind of business focused on the lower-class commoners wasn’t presentable, and they weren’t interested in taking it down.

But originally coming from a small place, hoping to grab a piece of the large business pie was even less likely.

While Wang Fu pondered in his mind, he greeted customers with a smile, also saying that those who lived nearby could bring their own bowl, buy and take it home to eat. They could even get a free serving of vegetables.

Of course, what vegetables to give was up to the shopkeeper.

As soon as he said this, everyone became even more interested.

Earning money aside, they also wanted their family to eat better. The problem was, restaurant dishes were too expensive. Even a vegetable dish cost ten copper coins, which very few poor people were willing to spend.

But if this spicy hot pot thing allowed their family to enjoy something delicious and fresh with just a few copper coins, it did seem quite a bargain.

Thinking it over, a few people suddenly shouted.

”Shopkeeper, I’ll go home and get a bowl now!” After all, washing bowls costs nothing, and a bit more vegetables is good!

Even though the shopkeeper said a skewer of vegetables wouldn’t be much, who cares, it’s free anyway!

”We’ll go too, it’s just in time for lunch, we’ll go get ours too!”

Among the crowd, a few people went back to get bowls, and a few urged Wang Fu and Master Yang to go back with them as their family wasn’t here, only themselves.

So the three of them carried empty bowls and stools back home, followed by seven or eight lean guys.

When they arrived at the shop, they happened to see Er Niang and Xiaoxue arranging things.

Two tables were pushed together at the door, with a few clean wooden basins on top. The basins were filled with clean well water soaking the vegetables.

There was also a large separate bowl. On the outside, a very thick rabbit fur hat was wrapped around it, and the inside was slowly freezing.

When the crowd returned, they saw Xiaomi and Wei Ziang, one holding a large tray and the other carrying a large bunch of skewered pork belly, arranging them.

Xiaomi placed the large tray on the big bowl, while Wei Ziang added the meat skewers and covered it with layer of gauze.

Wang Fu happened to see this scene: ”Oh, this is a good idea. Who thought of this? Ice isn’t much, and when it’s not cold anymore, you can change the basin. It won’t use much in a day.”

Also, it’s easy to dry out.

”It was Second Sister’s idea. These wooden basins were just bought by Aunt and Second Sister, and they’re now soaking mint water.”
