Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Lin Wanzhou’s first words were, ”Save me!” which startled Xu Yun. He thought Lin Wanzhou was in some kind of serious danger.

But when he asked, it turned out that the woman he liked had just sent him a text message.

’What the hell? This is ridiculous.’

In the coffee shop, Xu Yun looked at the nervous Lin Wanzhou sitting across from him.

He found it hard to imagine that a badass who could go head-to-head with enemies in a bayonet fight could get this nervous over a single text message.

Xu Yun also looked at the message. It was a very simple sentence: ”Brother Lin, can I come to Jiangcheng to see you?”

’Seriously, what’s there to be so nervous about over a single message?’

”Old Lin, just relax. Have some coffee.”

Xu Yun smiled. ”It’s just one text message. Why are you overthinking it? You even came all this way just to see me about it.”

”This isn’t an ordinary text message.”

Lin Wanzhou explained, ”Ever since her brother passed away, she has never texted me first. This is the first time! She said she wants to come see me.”

”Mm, I know.”

Xu Yun asked back, ”So?”

”Do you think she’s figured out that I like her?”

Lin Wanzhou said worriedly, ”So she wants to come see me to draw a line between us.”

”Why don’t you think that maybe she was moved by your quiet devotion and wants to come confess her feelings for you?”

”No way.”

Lin Wanzhou shook his head. ”She’s a very introverted and shy girl. She would never be the first to confess her feelings to a guy.”

”You really don’t understand women at all.”

Xu Yun said, ”An aloof woman is only aloof in front of men she doesn’t like. In front of a man she’s into, you have no idea how forward she can be.

”A prim and proper woman is only reserved in front of other people. You have no idea how wild she can be in the bed of a man she likes.”

”Is that really how it is?”

”Yes.”

Xu Yun smiled. ”So I think when she says she’s coming to see you, it could really be because she likes you, or she has strong feelings for you and wants to spend more time with you and get to know you better.

”Or maybe she already likes you, and that’s why she’s coming—to tell you in person.”

Lin Wanzhou was speechless.

”Think about it.”

Xu Yun continued his analysis, ”If she really wasn’t interested and wanted to reject you, she would’ve just said so over the phone. There’s no need to do it in person—that would just be awkward. Doesn’t that make sense?”

”What you’re saying... seems to make sense.”

”It doesn’t just ’seem’ right, it *is* right.”

Xu Yun said confidently, ”You know what I’m capable of. With so many women around me, how could I possibly handle them all without some real skill?”

”You handle them with money. What the hell does that have to do with actual feelings?”

Lin Wanzhou said with disdain, ”The woman I like would never be that materialistic! She sees money as filth, don’t you get it?”

”Old Lin, are you fucking trying to defy the Celestial Spirits now or something?”

Xu Yun was speechless. ”I took time out of my busy schedule to come counsel you and help you analyze the situation, and you’re dissing me? So what if I have money? Is that my fault?

”You just don’t get it. Money is just my foot in the door. To make them stay, you’ve gotta have the hardware to back it up!”

...

On this point, Lin Wanzhou recalled their trip to Hong Kong Island and Xu Yun’s 1-on-2 victory. He had to admit, he truly admired Xu Yun’s stamina and endurance.

An ordinary person really couldn’t compare to that kind of physical prowess.

A woman with him would not only have money to spend, but would also be very sexually satisfied!

Lin Wanzhou picked up his phone. ”Alright, if it’s really like you say, how should I reply to her? Do I just say ’Okay, sure’?”

”Don’t. Reject her first.”

Xu Yun said, ”Reply like this. Tell her you’ve been a bit busy with work lately and it’s not a good time. See what she says.”

”Won’t that just backfire?”

Lin Wanzhou asked worriedly, ”What if she really doesn’t come?”

”Heh. Who understands women better, you or me?”

Xu Yun chuckled. ”After you reject her, she’ll definitely be bummed. The more you push her away, the more she’ll want to come. It’s reverse psychology.”

”Okay, I trust you.”

Having never been in a relationship, Lin Wanzhou had no choice but to trust Xu Yun.

He took his phone and, following Xu Yun’s instructions, quickly typed out and sent a message.

Then came the anxious wait.

A minute later, she replied.

Lin Wanzhou quickly tapped it open to look.

Then, he just froze, dumbfounded. He looked up at Xu Yun and said dejectedly, ”So this is your ’skill’?”

”Er, what did she say?”

”Take it and see for yourself.”

Lin Wanzhou said, ”It’s really hopeless this time.”

...

Xu Yun curiously took the phone and read her reply: ”Brother Lin, I’m sorry to have bothered you. It won’t happen again.”

Xu Yun: ”...”

’This woman doesn’t play by the book.’

”What do we do now?

Lin Wanzhou said anxiously, ”Is she going to ignore me forever now?”

”Don’t panic, calm down! It’s just a woman.”

”Easy for you to say.”

Lin Wanzhou said, ”This is the damn woman I like, not yours! Of course you’re not panicking!”

”Then just shift the blame. Tell her this.”

Xu Yun thought for a moment. ”Call her right now. Tell her you didn’t send that message—that you went to the bathroom and some woman grabbed your phone behind your back and sent it.”

”Is it okay to lie to her like that?”

”If you don’t want to lie to her, then you can just wait for it to be ’game over’ between you.”

Lin Wanzhou was speechless.

After hesitating for ten seconds, he called her.

Xu Yun: ”Put it on speaker.”

Lin Wanzhou did as he was told.

After a dozen seconds, the call connected.

Lin Wanzhou: ”Hello, Xiaoyu? What are you doing?”

”Running my stall by the side of the road.”

A gentle voice asked over the phone, ”Brother Lin, did you need something?”
