Super Rich by Doing as You Please

”It’s not my treat.”

Afraid Xu Yun would misunderstand, Yang Siqi quickly explained, ”It’s a college reunion today. Just some old classmates, about a dozen of them, guys and girls.”

”I’m jealous. My college classmates never invite me to their reunions. I guess they feel like I’m not in their circle.”

Yang Siqi was speechless.

She didn’t know how to respond to that.

After all, without some serious standing, the average person couldn’t even dream of getting into Xu Yun’s circle.

Xu Yun asked, ”By the way, how is the business going with Xi Wei since I took you to see him last time?”

”We’ve successfully connected and signed the contracts.”

Speaking of which, Yang Siqi’s face lit up. ”Not only did I get all the business from their group’s companies, but even the companies that do business with them have signed procurement contracts with me.

I’ve already arranged for a large number of workers to start shipping out the new batches for replacement and installation. The timeline will probably extend to the end of the year before it’s all finished.”

”That’s good. You guys have fun, I’ll let you get back to it.”

With that, Xu Yun turned to leave. Song Xiaowei was still waiting for him in their private room.

”President Xu.”

Yang Siqi suddenly called out, ”If you’re free tonight, I can leave early after I’m done eating with them and go for a walk with you.”

”No need. Don’t be a wet blanket, just go have fun.”

Afraid she might overthink it, Xu Yun smiled, stepped forward, and gave her a quick kiss. He watched her go back into her private room before turning around, opening the door, and entering his own room next door.

Song Xiaowei asked quizzically, ”What took you so long?”

”I ran into an acquaintance outside and we chatted for a bit.”

Xu Yun smiled and asked, ”So, are you done eating? If you are, we can pay the bill and go.”

”I’m done.”

So, Xu Yun and Song Xiaowei went out to pay and leave, but the manager told them someone had already taken care of the bill.

Without even having to guess, Xu Yun knew it was Yang Siqi.

’She paid for me, so I might as well be generous and pay for her group. It’s a good chance to show my face in front of her college classmates and stop anyone from getting any ideas about her.’

Class reunions... sometimes they just turn into home-wrecking conventions.

First loves meeting first loves, breaking up one couple after another.

Xu Yun asked Song Xiaowei to wait for him outside, then said to the manager, ”Help me take care of the bill for the private room at the very back. If they ask, just say Yang Siqi’s boyfriend paid for it.”

”Of course, Mr. Xu.”

As a high-level diamond member of the restaurant, the manager certainly recognized him.

Xu Yun had just spent a little over 10,000, but the bill for the other private room was over 30,000!

But considering the number of people—a bill of over 10,000 for two people versus over 30,000 for a dozen—the difference in class was obvious at a glance!

Not long after Xu Yun and Song Xiaowei left, Yang Siqi and her classmates finished their meal as well.

Cheng Yi—the one everyone acknowledged as the most successful among the classmates and also Xi Wei’s secretary—smiled and called out, ”Waiter, the check!”

”Hello, miss. Someone has already paid your bill.”

”???”

Cheng Yi looked at the group, confused. ”Who went and paid already? Didn’t we agree that I was treating everyone tonight?”

Everyone shook their heads, indicating it wasn’t them.

Cheng Yi looked toward Yang Siqi. She was the last one to step out.

She certainly had the means to pay the bill.

After all, her little startup had recently landed several million in orders from their corporate group and its partner companies all at once!

Yang Siqi shook her head. ”It wasn’t me, either.”

Cheng Yi asked the waiter, ”Excuse me, can you please tell us who paid our bill?”

”He said he’s Miss Yang Siqi’s boyfriend.”
