Super Rich by Doing as You Please

With that, he pointed to another jet, the G600ER.

In the picture, the aircraft’s lines were smooth, projecting a sense of steady power.

”This model uses the industry’s most advanced wings, precision-molded from a single piece of aluminum. Paired with an ultra-quiet Pratt & Whitney engine, it can fly farther with lower fuel consumption.

It can cruise at a high speed of Mach 0.90, close to the speed of sound, allowing it to cross the Pacific non-stop. It truly makes direct flights between any two points on the globe possible.

At the same time, shorter flight times mean longer intervals between scheduled maintenance. This helps the aircraft retain its value and also keeps the crew more refreshed. The current price is a little higher than the 550.”

Next, the salesperson introduced the G650 and G650ER.

”Compared to the previous two models, its only distinction is having the largest cabin in its class!

That’s why the price is 64.5 million US Dollars!

Then there’s its upgraded model, the G650ER.

The cabin is spacious and luxurious, measuring 16.32 meters long, 2.58 meters wide, and 1.94 meters high.

It’s fully equipped inside with a wine cabinet and a bar for mixing drinks. The galley kitchen has an oven, refrigerator, coffee machine, microwave, and other appliances.

The cabin sofas are genuine leather, and the interior uses real wood materials.

The asking price is 70 million US Dollars!”

Jian Shiwai’s mouth went dry listening to these prices.

She pointed to the last model and asked, ”What about this one? It looks nice.”

The salesperson replied, ”That’s our most expensive and largest model, the Gulfstream G700.

It uses the latest materials and technology for faster speeds, lower noise, and greater comfort. The current price is around 500 million.”

”500 million!!!”

This was the first time Jian Shiwai had ever discussed the business of buying an airplane.

Even though she wasn’t the one buying it—merely responsible for contact and selection—the experience of shopping for something that casually cost hundreds of millions gave her an adrenaline rush and made her heart pound.

So, she asked, ”Is there any room for negotiation on the prices of these models?”

”There is.”

The salesperson knew it wasn’t the woman in front of him who was buying the plane, but the person she represented.

”You can rest assured, we’ll definitely give your employer the best discount. However, it depends on the model. Different models have different discounts. The largest discount we can offer could be several million.”

”...” Jian Shiwai was speechless.

’A deal worth hundreds of millions is really on another level. The discounts alone are in the millions.’

She then asked, concerned, ”Do you have any physical aircraft we can see? I feel the most direct way to experience it is on the plane itself.”

”Er.”

The salesperson said awkwardly, ”We don’t have one available at the moment. And no one has ever requested an on-site viewing before.”

”Then what’s the approximate long-term maintenance cost for one of these planes?”

Jian Shiwai had to get all these questions cleared up first so she could report back to Xu Yun.

”Based on our past clients, the annual operating and maintenance cost for a Gulfstream model is around ten million or so.”

Jian Shiwai was speechless again.

Just as she was reeling from the shock of how expensive it was to maintain a private jet, her phone suddenly rang.

Jian Shiwai saw it was a call from Xu Yun and said to the salesperson, ”Please wait a moment. We can talk more after I take this call.”

”Of course, go ahead.”

Jian Shiwai stood up, walked to the window, and answered, ”Hello, President Xu.”

”I’m going to need to use some money in a bit. Can you open up my permissions and change it to have no transaction limit?”

”Alright, President Xu. Please wait a moment.”

Jian Shiwai was taken aback. She didn’t know how much money Xu Yun was planning to use this time.

After all, the bank had previously set his limit at 100 million.

He was clearly going to exceed that limit this time.

Jian Shiwai went to the counter, logged into her management account on a dedicated internal computer, and then modified the permissions for Xu Yun’s account.

”President Xu, I’ve finished the modification. You can proceed.”

”Okay, got it.”

After hanging up, Jian Shiwai didn’t immediately return to her office. Instead, she stared at the transaction history of Xu Yun’s account.

「A few minutes later.」

She saw the entire cash balance of over 300 million in Xu Yun’s account suddenly get transferred out in an instant!

This terrified her.

She had thought Xu Yun would use a lot of money, but she never imagined he would use *this* much!

Jian Shiwai immediately checked where the money had gone.

As it turned out, it went to Hang City’s Green City Real Estate Company!

It was a payment for a property!

In other words, Xu Yun had just purchased a property in Hang City worth nearly 300 million!

’Did he just buy an entire building?’

Just as Jian Shiwai was reeling in shock, Vice Governor Gao hurried up behind her.

He looked nervous and said, ”Manager Jian, what happened with Xu Yun’s account? An employee just told me that over 300 million in cash was suddenly transferred out!”

”Yes, Xu Yun called just a moment ago.”

Jian Shiwai gave a wry smile. ”It seems he used it all to buy property in Hang City!”

”How could you let him do that!”

Hearing this, Vice Governor Gao said angrily, ”Our entire personal savings performance for this year was dependent on him! Now that he’s emptied his account in one go, aren’t we right back to square one?!

If the higher-ups investigate this, you will be held fully responsible!”

In truth, for Vice Governor Gao, the money itself wasn’t what was important. What was important was...

If his superiors found out their branch had suddenly lost 300 million in personal savings, not only would his promotion to branch governor go up in smoke, but he might even have to write a self-criticism report!

”Governor Gao, it’s President Xu’s money.”

Jian Shiwai shook her head. ”Could I really have forcibly held it back and not let him spend it?”

”What kind of property did he buy, spending over 300 million all at once?!”

”How would I know?”

Vice Governor Gao gave his subordinate a meaningful look and asked probingly, ”Aren’t you two on good terms? You don’t know?”

”I really don’t.”

Jian Shiwai retorted, ”Why don’t you give him a call and ask yourself, Governor Gao?”

”...”

Vice Governor Gao, having been rebuffed, was at a loss for words.

He could only lament without tears.

’My luck is just too awful!’

’After struggling for so many years, I was on the verge of a promotion, and then this happens!’

After the dejected Vice Governor Gao left, Jian Shiwai also got up and returned to her office.

Now, it wasn’t just Vice Governor Gao whose promotion was hopeless; her hopes were dashed as well.

Thinking about Xu Yun’s now-empty account, she glanced at the waiting salesperson and couldn’t help but wonder.

’Should I even continue discussions about buying the plane now?’

After a moment of hesitation, she said to the salesperson, ”I’m sorry, something has come up today. Let’s leave it at this for now and talk again later.”

”Alright.”

The salesperson saw this but didn’t understand what had happened.

However, buying an airplane wasn’t something that could be settled in one or two meetings, so he wasn’t in a hurry.

After sending the salesperson off, Jian Shiwai sat alone in her chair in a daze.

「Meanwhile, at the sales office in Hang City,」 after Xu Yun completed the transaction, the manager stared at the deposited funds, his heart pounding!

’It really happened!’

’I really sold the largest villa!’

’280 million!’

Although their commission for selling such a house wasn’t based on a percentage, he could already picture himself on stage at the company’s annual party, being crowned the MVP!

The manager excitedly shook Xu Yun’s hand and vowed, ”President Xu, rest assured, I will do everything I can to get all the ownership paperwork processed before dinner tomorrow, so you can have the deed in your hands.”

”Good. I’ll wait for your message.”

Xu Yun agreed. With the house purchased, he left with Xino and Lin Suiling, planning to get some lunch.

It was already past 1:00 PM, and everyone was hungry.

The manager stood at the door, watching with a fond gaze as the three people left in their two cars. He then returned to the sales office and announced magnanimously, ”Tonight’s on me! We’re having a big feast!”

This time, Lin Suiling didn’t treat Xu Yun and Xino to Hang City’s local specialties again. Instead, she found a nice Western restaurant where they had a wonderful meal.

Perhaps because they were truly hungry, both women ate quite a lot this time.

After they finished eating, Xu Yun suggested that Lin Suiling, the local rich lady, take them on a tour of West Lake.

And so, the trio went boating on the lake.

On the small boat, Lin Suiling wore a gloomy expression as she held the oars, rowing with all her might.

Opposite her, Xu Yun was shamelessly lying in Xino’s arms with his eyes closed, humming a little tune, utterly content.

At the same time, the system’s belated reward finally sounded in his mind.

[Faced with the temptation of a top-tier Suzhou-style garden mansion, the Host chose to Do as You Please and splurged extravagantly, buying it in full. This magnificent and enviable act has earned a reward of 1 billion in cash!]

[Bank Balance: 1.01 Billion]

*Heh...*

A faint smile played on Xu Yun’s lips. ’Just like that, I’ve got a billion.’

He opened his eyes, looked at Xino, and said suddenly, ”Winner winner, chicken dinner tonight!”

Hearing this, Xino blushed and nodded.

Lin Suiling saw this and thought they were just talking about what to eat for dinner.

She felt a pang of jealousy.
