Super Rich by Doing as You Please

”Arms.”

Lin Suiling: ”???”

Xu Yun gave her a meaningful look and asked, ”What’s wrong? Are you scared?”

”Scared?”

Lin Suiling pretended to be calm. ”What do I have to be scared of? It’s not like you’re going to eat me.”

’But her curiosity about Xu Yun was actually growing stronger.’

’And she was a little intimidated!’

’What kind of person deals in arms in our country?!’

”Don’t be scared. I was just joking with you.”

Xu Yun chuckled. ”I’m just your average rich guy.”

”That joke wasn’t funny at all.”

Lin Suiling said, ”The paperwork is all done now. Are you coming with me to pick up the car? Or should I have it delivered to you on a flatbed?”

”It’s about time for lunch.”

Xu Yun changed the subject. ”Come on. To thank you for selling me the car, I’ll treat you to lunch.”

”Forget it. I’m the one getting paid today, so if anyone’s treating, it should be me.”

An idea struck her. ”I’ll treat you to some of Hang City’s local specialties. I guarantee you’ll love them.”

”Alright, I won’t be polite then.”

Xu Yun said, ”I’ll ride with you for now, and then I can drive the car straight home later.”

”Then what about this car?”

”I’ll just find a designated driver to take it back.”

「A little over half an hour later, the two were at a restaurant by West Lake.」

Lin Suiling took the menu and ordered four or five specialty dishes for Xu Yun in one go, then enthusiastically began to introduce them.

”This is West Lake Vinegar Fish, this is Dongpo Pork, this is Longjing Shrimp, and this is Steamed Duo of Stench.”

Lin Suiling said earnestly, ”These are all famous delicacies from our Hang City. They’re incredibly delicious. Go on, try some.”

”Is that so?”

Curious, Xu Yun took his first bite of the West Lake Vinegar Fish and immediately praised it. ”It’s actually really good. Delicious.”

”???”

Lin Suiling was stunned for a moment, then said, ”Well, try the Longjing Shrimp then.”

”Also good.”

”What about the Dongpo Pork?”

”Also good.”

Lin Suiling: ”...”

’No way, does he really have such a unique palate?!!!’

’I was trying to get a little revenge for him scaring me earlier, but he actually likes this stuff!’

’And he can’t stop praising it!’

Xu Yun deliberately looked up at her, a puzzled expression on his face. ”What’s wrong? From the look on your face, it seems like you don’t think these dishes are any good.”

”No, that’s not it.”

Xu Yun chuckled. ”It’s delicious. You should eat too. I can’t finish all this by myself.”

”Um, I’m not that hungry.”

Lin Suiling said awkwardly, ”You eat. Don’t worry about me.”

”Actually, I’m not very hungry either.”

Xu Yun put down his chopsticks, wiped his mouth, and said, ”Let me ask you a question.”

”What is it?”

”What do I have to do to win you over?”

”It’s simple.”

Lin Suiling smiled. ”You just have to get my adrenaline pumping, make me feel enough excitement.”

”Oh, so that’s how it is.”

Xu Yun paused, then asked, ”Do you have a racetrack around here? The kind of professional track for F1 racing.”

”Not in Hang City, but there’s an international circuit in Shaoxing, in the southern part of Ke Bridge, right in the center of the Ke Yan-Jian Lake tourist resort area.”

Lin Suiling asked, puzzled, ”Why?”

”Let’s head over there right now. And have someone deliver my car there, too. We can do the handover there.”

Lin Suiling: ”...”

「An hour later, the red Lamborghini appeared outside the national racetrack.」

The facility was designed to help the general public better understand and participate in motorsports. In addition to hosting various professional events, it was also the perfect place for amateur racing enthusiasts and car lovers to do test drives, hold meetups, and for young drivers to train.

So, many drivers who loved racing, testing cars, or training came here.

Today happened to be quiet, with few people around.

Xu Yun found the person in charge and spent 300,000 yuan in one go to book the track for the entire afternoon.

From 2 to 5 PM, a total of three hours.

Before long, a dark green Valkyrie was delivered.

This was also the first time Xu Yun had seen it in person.

’This thing can’t even be called a supercar anymore. With a goddamn chassis that practically scrapes the ground, it’s clearly a dedicated racing machine!’

Lin Suiling stood to the side and asked, ”You’re not planning to race here, are you?”

”I am. I want to see just how fast this car I just bought can go.”

”Uh, by design, this car’s speed is nearly identical to an F1 car. It can reach a top speed of 400 km/h.”

Lin Suiling added, ”But even though it’s that fast, no one but a top-tier professional racer can actually handle it.”

”I’m not just anyone!”

Without hesitation, Xu Yun got in, put on a helmet, and said, ”Do you dare to ride shotgun for one lap?”

”Why wouldn’t I dare?”

Don’t be fooled just because she was a woman; she loved racing. She couldn’t compare to a professional, but among amateurs, she was one of the best.

She had driven this track countless times.

Whenever she felt the need for speed, she would come here in her own sports car.

After a brief hesitation, Lin Suiling opened the passenger-side scissor door, put on a safety helmet, and got in.

’You’re not a professional, how fast could you possibly go?’

’He’s probably just putting on a show!’

The racetrack had a professional crew who had already inspected the car inside and out before it was allowed on the track.

It wasn’t a free service, of course; they charged per inspection.

While Lin Suiling was fastening her seatbelt, Xu Yun had already called up his system.

Although he already possessed Intermediate Professional Racing Technique, he still spent 10 million to purchase the Professional Top-Tier Racing Driver Skill, just in case.

In an instant, he possessed the experience and technique of a top-tier F1 driver.

’Plus, with all the safety measures on the track, as long as I don’t do anything stupid, I won’t die!’

”Ready?”

Xu Yun gave the passenger seat a meaningful look. ”I’m starting. I hope you’re not crying when you get out.”

”Hmph, as if I would—”

Before Lin Suiling could finish her sentence, Xu Yun stomped on the gas, and the car shot forward like a bullet!

A launch start!

Lin Suiling: ”!!!”

Xu Yun was on the circuit’s East Track, known as the high-speed zone.

This track was 1.54 kilometers long with 8 corners and a maximum elevation change of 18 meters. It wound its way up and down a hill, featuring plenty of uphill and downhill sprint sections.

Thanks to the boost from his system’s Skill, Xu Yun was as fast as lightning.

On the track, the roar of the engine was like a beast’s bellow, deafening.

Xu Yun’s hands gripped the steering wheel tightly, his gaze firm. He meticulously adjusted the car’s direction like a conductor orchestrating a symphony’s climax.

His fingers danced over the buttons on the wheel, every movement precise, every adjustment striving for perfection.

Meanwhile, in the passenger seat, Lin Suiling clung to her seatbelt, her face pale and her whole body trembling.

She could feel the g-force pinning her to the seat with every acceleration and the centrifugal force pulling at her with every turn.

Lin Suiling’s adrenaline surged. Her heart pounded violently with every jolt of the car, feeling as if it would leap out of her chest at any moment.

Her eyes were glued to the road ahead, unable to look away for even a second, terrified they were about to crash into the guardrail at any moment!

Finally, when Xu Yun pushed the speed past 350 km/h, she was so scared she squeezed her eyes shut and let out a piercing scream, releasing the deep terror in her heart!

After all, no matter how good Lin Suiling was, she was still an amateur.

How could she ever have experienced the speed of a top-tier professional racer like Xu Yun?!

Finally, with a screech of brakes, the car’s speed slowly decreased.

But the immense inertia made Lin Suiling feel like she was about to be flung out of the car, only to be yanked back by her seatbelt!

Once the car came to a complete stop, a silent, pale-faced Lin Suiling quickly unbuckled her seatbelt, got out, took off her helmet, and, leaning against the car, bent over and began to vomit violently.

She was a complete mess.

Seeing this, Xu Yun, still in the car, felt a corner of his mouth lift into a smirk. He was in a great mood.

’So you thought you’d treat me to West Lake Vinegar Fish, huh?’

’Well, I’ll give you a taste of the fast and the furious and make you puke up even yesterday’s dinner!’

Xu Yun got out of the car and checked the four tires. After one lap at such extreme speeds, they were basically shot. He would have to replace all four.

He walked over to Lin Suiling, gently patted her back, and asked with concern, ”How are you? You okay?”

”What do you think?”

Lin Suiling looked up, retorting weakly, before she couldn’t help but bend over and start dry-heaving again.

Nothing but bitter bile came up!

”It’s fine.”

Xu Yun chuckled. ”It’s always like this the first time you get carsick. You’ll get used to it after a few more rides.”

”...” Lin Suiling.
