Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Wanqing said anxiously, ”I have to hurry to the office, so I can’t stay with you.”

”It’s so late already, you don’t have to go.”

”Huh? But...”

”Don’t worry, I already took care of it. They’re expecting you this afternoon.”

Xu Yun said, ”I have that much pull, at least.”

Hearing Xu Yun say this, Wanqing instantly breathed a sigh of relief.

She said with a smile, ”By the way, why didn’t you wake me when you got up? You’re at my place, so I should be the one making you noodles.”

”I saw how tired you were last night and how soundly you were sleeping. I didn’t have the heart to wake you.”

Xu Yun let go of her and said, ”Come on, try my cooking. This is the first time I’ve ever cooked for a woman.”

”Is that so? Then I’m truly honored.”

A little delighted, Wanqing went to the dining area and took a bite.

’It wasn’t very good, but the fact that Xu Yun made noodles for me means that no matter how bad they taste, they have to be delicious.’

”Mm, it’s delicious.”

Wanqing took a loud slurp and said with a smile, ”These are the best noodles I’ve ever had.”

Xu Yun knew perfectly well how his cooking tasted. He didn’t call out her compliment, but instead smiled and said, ”If you like it that much, you can have my bowl too.”

”...” Wanqing.

”Just kidding. Look how scared you are.”

Xu Yun said, ”Don’t eat any more of it. Even I can barely stomach the noodles I made. Let’s go out to eat, and then I’ll take you to your company.”

”Then wait for me. I’ll go wash up and put on some makeup.”

”Okay, I’ll go wait for you in the car downstairs.”

The amount of time a woman spends on her makeup depends on how important you are to her.

The more important you are, the more she cares, and the less time she’ll take, for fear of keeping you waiting.

Conversely, the longer she makes you wait, the more it shows how unimportant you are to her.

And so, just a short while later, a beautifully made-up Wanqing appeared in his car.

Xu Yun had been driving this Wenjie M9 for a few days and had just barely familiarized himself with some of its functions. He had Wanqing sit in the passenger seat to experience the advantages of an electric vehicle, like the massage function, zero-gravity seats, and so on.

These features greatly surprised Wanqing, making her think it was some kind of luxury car.

But when she asked out of curiosity, she learned it was actually a domestic car!

Then she brought up a news story she saw on her phone yesterday: the Yangwang U9 had been released.

It’s an electric sports car with an appearance similar to a Lamborghini. She heard the fully-loaded model costs over two million yuan to get on the road, and it can even jump in place.

”Jump in place?”

Xu Yun was also intrigued after hearing this. He smiled and said, ”When I have time, I’ll go get one and see if it’s as amazing as you say.”

”Mhm.”

Hearing this, Wanqing didn’t think Xu Yun was bragging at all.

Because from what she knew of Xu Yun’s financial resources, buying a hundred Yangwang U9s, let alone one, would be no trouble at all!

She asked, ”Can you take me for a ride in it then?”

”Of course.”

Speaking of cars, Xu Yun remembered the Valkyrie he had asked Xiaoteng to contact.

He wondered how that was going.

The two found a decent Black Pearl Restaurant, and after having lunch together, Xu Yun dropped Wanqing off at her company’s entrance and left.

Then he went to meet Yan Can. They arranged to meet at the same private club as last time.

Xu Yun asked, ”How are those businesses I had you watch? Any irregularities?”

”Brother Xu, you’re really something else.”

Yan Can heard this and said with a laugh, ”Those few clubs and bathhouses were all shut down for rectification last night. I bet Qin Xun and his family are completely blindsided.”

”Oh, and I also heard that two of their construction teams have been ordered to stop work and are going to be replaced.”

”Good.” Xu Yun nodded with satisfaction.

It seemed Xi Huai’an really got things done, and efficiently too. In just one night, he had effortlessly taken down the Qin Family’s entire operation.

So, this was the allure of power.

With a flip of the hand, you could create clouds or rain. A single thought could alter someone’s destiny!

’What a pity. Even with a system, he, Xu Yun, wouldn’t dare play that game, nor could he handle it. He could only be a contentedly lazy rich guy, living his quiet little life and trying his best not to provoke others.’

’But if someone were to provoke him, he wouldn’t hesitate to strike back without mercy.’

Just like how he was dealing with Qin Xun now.

In truth, besides the fact that they had messed with his woman, there was another important reason for Xu Yun’s relentless pursuit of the Qin Family.

After learning about some of Qin Xun’s despicable behavior, he also wanted to rid Jiangcheng of a menace.

’Even if I can’t kill him or put him in jail, I can use my money to bankrupt his family so he can never throw his weight around like a rich second-generation brat again!’

After finishing their business discussion on the first floor, the two went up to the second floor, ready to enjoy a good massage.

This was Xu Yun’s second time here.

In the same private room, Xu Yun once again requested the familiar Technician Number Seven, Xiaoli.

Yan Can, however, chose someone new.

It seemed he chose a different person every time he came, especially when there were new staff members!

Xiaoli entered the private room carrying her small case. The moment she saw Xu Yun, her heart filled with joy.

She called out enthusiastically, ”President Xu, good afternoon!”

”Number Seven, long time no see.”

Xu Yun smiled. ”You’ve gotten even prettier.”

”Oh, stop.”

Technician Number Seven, Xiaoli, replied with a smile, ”If anything, it’s you, President Xu, who’s gotten younger and more handsome.”

After their simple greeting, the massage service began.

Starting from the feet and ending at the head.

If you’ve never been to a club like this, you’ll never know how comfortable it is to have a technician press down on you for a full-body, professional SPA massage!

The hour-and-a-half massage once again lulled Xu Yun into a comfortable sleep.
