Super Rich by Doing as You Please

After leaving the club, Xu Yun went to see his other woman.

Song Xiaowei was now one of the hosts of a highly popular variety show at Jiangcheng TV Station and a well-liked newcomer.

Her beautiful looks, engaging on-air presence, and professional knowledge were winning her more and more fans.

These days, die-hard fans and reporters often staked out the TV station’s main entrance, waiting for Song Xiaowei.

Some wanted autographs, others wanted a story.

It was almost like the treatment a celebrity gets.

When Xu Yun arrived at the main entrance, he ran into a group of enthusiastic fans waiting for her. Most were women, and some were even holding signs. It was a bit over the top.

’She didn’t pay for these people to be here, did she?’

Slightly surprised, Xu Yun parked in a nearby lot, got out, and walked over, planning to pose as a fan of Song Xiaowei himself.

He approached the only middle-aged man in the group and asked with a smile, ”Sir, are you also a fan of Song Xiaowei?”

”No.”

The middle-aged man asked back, ”What about you?”

”I’m not, either.”

”So you’re also here to get an autograph for your kid?”

’What?’ Xu Yun thought.

”My daughter’s a senior in high school this year. She’s so busy studying she doesn’t have time to come.”

The middle-aged man smiled. ”So, to help her focus, I thought I’d try my luck and see if I could get her one of Song Xiaowei’s autographs. It’ll be a surprise for her.”

Hearing this, Xu Yun said admiringly, ”You’re a really good father, sir.”

”My wife often says I’m completely wrapped around my daughter’s finger. Heh heh...”

The man chuckled happily, then asked doubtfully, ”Buddy, if you’re not here for an autograph, then what are you doing here?”

”I’m here to pick someone up.”

Xu Yun lowered his voice. ”Actually, Song Xiaowei is my girlfriend. If you give me 1,000 yuan, I guarantee I’ll get you her autograph.”

”???”

The middle-aged man’s expression immediately grew wary. He looked at Xu Yun as if he were a scammer.

”You don’t believe me?”

”You think I should?”

”100 yuan!”

Xu Yun grit his teeth. ”That’s the lowest I can go. Even if I do scam you, 100 yuan isn’t a huge loss. But what if I’m telling the truth? Want to take that bet? Otherwise, you’ll just be standing here at the entrance. If I were her, I definitely wouldn’t leave this way. You’ll never get that autograph.”

The middle-aged man thought Xu Yun had a point.

He asked tentatively, ”You’re really Song Xiaowei’s boyfriend?”

”Sir, do I have the air of a scammer?”

”You’re right.”

The middle-aged man chuckled and nodded. ”With your looks, there’s no need to scam me for such a small amount. You could make a lot more, and faster, as a gigolo.”

”...” Xu Yun was speechless.

’Buddy, are you complimenting me or insulting me?’

”This 100 yuan is all the secret stash I’ve got.”

The middle-aged man added Xu Yun on WeChat, paid him 100 yuan via QR code, then handed him the notebook he had prepared. ”So, how will you get it to me?”

”Wait for my message on WeChat.”

Xu Yun took the notebook with a smile, then turned and walked back to his car. He started the engine.

Song Xiaowei was supposed to come out the front entrance, but under these circumstances, she definitely wouldn’t. He would have to pick her up from the garage.

Xu Yun drove into the TV station’s underground parking garage and sent Song Xiaowei a message.

”There are a lot of people at the entrance. When you get off work, come to Level 1 of the garage. I’ll wait for you here.”

Song Xiaowei was in the middle of a break from filming. When she saw Xu Yun’s message, her heart filled with joy.

Xu Yun was back!

And he came to pick her up from work!

Only people in love could understand this kind of sweetness!

Song Xiaowei smiled happily and replied, ”I still have another half hour of filming. Why don’t you come up? You can wait for me in the lounge next to the studio.”

”It’s fine. I’ll just wait for you in the car.”

Song Xiaowei read the message and quickly typed back, ”Okay, then I’ll come find you as soon as we’re done. Mwah.”

After sending the message, she also sent a selfie she had just taken in the break room.

Looking at Song Xiaowei’s youthful and stunning outfit for the day, Xu Yun suddenly understood why she had become so popular in just one short month.

If he were in their shoes, he’d be captivated, too.

Although Song Xiaowei was already beautiful without makeup, with professional styling, her on-camera charm was amplified even further.

Not to mention the boost from the show’s camera filters!

If she was a 9 before, she was at least a 9.8 now!

The thought that such a woman was his lover felt surreal to Xu Yun, and he couldn’t help but marvel at how unpredictable life was.

If this had been two months ago, a woman like her was someone he could only be with in his dreams.

It was just like how people idly fantasize about Liu Yifei or Dilreba.

While he waited for Song Xiaowei, Xu Yun was anything but bored. He drew the car’s privacy curtains, fully reclined his seat, and started watching previous episodes of the Jiangcheng TV Station variety show.

About twenty minutes in, he received a message from the middle-aged man.

”Bro, did you get the autograph yet?”

”Not yet. Be patient.”

”You didn’t just run off, did you? I checked the time, and they should be off work by now at the TV station.”

”She’s working overtime. There’s no set schedule when you’re filming a show.”

”Fine, but you better not be scamming me!”

A little over ten minutes later, Song Xiaowei finally finished filming upstairs.

One of the male guests on the show, a fairly popular celebrity, suggested they all go out that evening, and that it would be his treat.

Everyone readily agreed.

But when they turned around, they found that Song Xiaowei was gone.
