Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Honestly, Xu Yun hadn’t expected the always rational and steady Su Mu to act like this.

He had no idea what she had run into today.

Hearing her stubborn insistence that she would wait for him no matter what, he could have ignored her, but in the end, he caved.

The distance from Hang City to Jiangcheng wasn’t exactly close, but it wasn’t terribly far either.

It all depended on the mode of transportation.

If he didn’t have to worry about the law or other factors, he could just hop in his brand-new Valkyrie and tear down the highway overnight.

After all, with his top-tier, F1-level racing skills, it wouldn’t take him long at all.

But obviously, that wasn’t a realistic option.

Booking a regular flight now was out of the question, so his only choice was to charter a plane again.

As for whether it was worth it... ’If I think it’s worth it, then it is.’

So, before leaving the restroom, he called his personal financial manager, Jian Shiwai, and told her what he needed.

Jian Shiwai, who had been about to go to sleep, had no choice but to get back to work.

After giving his instructions, Xu Yun went and met up with Xino.

When Xino saw him, she walked up, took his arm, and asked, ”What took you so long?”

”I was constipated.”

”Ugh, you’re impossible.”

Xino rolled her eyes at him, then said, ”Well, should we go to the hospital to get you checked out?”

”I’m fine. I was just kidding.”

Xu Yun said, ”I just took a call. It looks like something’s come up, and I need to make a quick trip back to Jiangcheng.”

”You’re leaving now?”

”Yeah, I have to head back right away.”

Xu Yun said, ”So, I’ll take you home in a bit, and then I have to go.”

”Then I’ll go with you.”

”You don’t have to.”

”I can get it handled overnight,” Xu Yun refused. ”You just stay here and get some sleep. Once I’m done, who knows? You might just wake up tomorrow morning and find me right there.”

”But it’s so late. How are you going to get back?”

”I already had someone arrange for a plane.”

”I’m chartering a flight back,” Xu Yun said. ”It’ll be quick.”

”Okay, then be careful on your way.” ’Anything that would make Xu Yun charter a flight overnight must be a huge deal,’ Xino thought. ’It couldn’t be as minor as he was making it sound.’

’A good girlfriend knew when to be understanding.’

After Xu Yun reassured Xino and took her home, Jian Shiwai got back to him with the arrangements.

It was all too sudden, so finding a private jet at this hour was impossible. However, she had managed to contact a private helicopter that could make a last-minute flight to Jiangcheng.

However, a night flight in a helicopter was far less safe than one in a Gulfstream jet.

Xu Yun agreed without a moment’s hesitation.

After a worried and reluctant farewell from Xino, he switched to a 7-series BMW and drove toward the suburbs outside the airport.

Soon, he followed the address and arrived at a private helipad.

A staff member at the gate guided him, and he smoothly boarded the helicopter, which then took off for Jiangcheng.

This wasn’t Xu Yun’s first time in a helicopter. There was nothing comfortable about them; they were built for utility, not luxury.

But it was his first time riding in one at night.

Due to the lower altitude, the city’s nightscape below was on full display—much clearer than the view from an airplane.

Once they flew past the city, the journey was a long stretch of pitch darkness, punctuated by occasional, scattered lights. As the helicopter roared overhead, its searchlight sweeping across the rooftops below was exceptionally bright.

Finally, after two hours, the helicopter landed safely at a private helipad on the outskirts of Jiangcheng.

It looked like some kind of private compound.

Not far away, Jian Shiwai was already waiting for him in her Porsche Panamera.

The moment Xu Yun disembarked, she hurried over to greet him. ”President Xu, where to now?”

”Jinyuan District!”

”Understood.”

On the way, seeing how urgently he had returned, Jian Shiwai asked with curiosity, ”President Xu, did something happen? For you to rush back to handle it in person?”

”Yes, a small matter.”

Xu Yun looked at Jian Shiwai driving and smiled. ”Sorry to trouble you so late tonight, making you work overtime again.”

”Not at all. Providing President Xu with 24-hour service is my job.” And this wasn’t just some empty pleasantry or an attempt to flatter Xu Yun; Jian Shiwai was being completely sincere.

Thanks to Xu Yun, her bank branch had already far exceeded its quota for personal savings deposits.

On top of that, also because of Xu Yun, a portion of the Xinuo Family Group Company’s financial business had been transferred to their bank.

As a result, her branch’s business volume for the period had far surpassed that of other branches, earning them recognition and praise from the leadership at the main branch.

According to internal sources, their branch manager was about to be transferred to the main branch. When that happened, Vice Governor Gao would be promoted to branch manager, and she, in turn, would be promoted to vice manager.

This single turn of events would save her years of struggle.

So, under these circumstances, she would have been willing to be on call 48 hours a day for Xu Yun, let alone just 24.

”Oh, right.”

Xu Yun instructed, ”Have the helicopter wait for me. I expect I’ll need to fly back tomorrow morning after I’ve handled things.”

”Yes, I understand.”

”And one more thing.”

Xu Yun continued, ”It’s really inconvenient not having my own private jet. I need you to press on with the purchase. Get it arranged as soon as you can.”

”Of course. I’ll get right on it first thing tomorrow.”

The city was quiet in the early hours of the morning, the streets deserted. Their drive was unimpeded, and they reached their destination in just half an hour.

Jian Shiwai left promptly after dropping off Xu Yun.

Xu Yun walked into the residential complex and came across Li Guanghua, who was once again on night duty and dozing off.
