Super Rich by Doing as You Please

After a full day of shooting, car vlogger Xiaoteng’s team had finally finished gathering footage for their video.

All that remained was post-production editing.

So, the next morning, a little after 9:00, he had Xu Yun’s car brought to the couple’s villa on a tow truck.

Xu Yun looked at the car on the tow truck and laughed. ”Isn’t this a bit over the top? You could have just driven it over instead of calling for a tow truck.”

”No, it’s necessary.”

After all, he was a car enthusiast himself. He knew just how precious a car like this was, especially to a man.

Especially when it was someone else’s brand-new car, it was best not to drive it if you didn’t have to.

Even though he had borrowed it for a day, Xiaoteng had only taken out the keys to show off a bit and drive a short distance during the video shoot.

The owner might be polite about it, but you had to know your boundaries.

Xiaoteng said with a smile, ”President Xu, if you end up buying another nice car, be sure to let me know. I’d love to come get some footage.”

”No problem.”

Xu Yun replied, ”You too. You’ve got a lot of connections, so if you see any nice cars, remember to let me know. I’ll buy one and see what it’s like.”

”Deal.”

Xiaoteng then asked, ”How about we grab lunch together?”

”I’ll have to pass on lunch.”

Xu Yun declined. ”My girlfriend and I are planning to drive it home today.”

”You’re driving it back?”

Xiaoteng was taken aback. He reminded him, ”Driving a car like this over such a long distance will probably cause a lot of wear and tear on the tires. I’d suggest you have it towed back instead.”

”It’s fine. Before I lent you the car yesterday, I’d already taken it for a few laps on the track.”

Xu Yun continued, ”The four original factory wheels were already shot. I replaced them with a new set, so I don’t mind one more long drive.”

”No wonder...”

Realization dawned on Xiaoteng. ”I was wondering why the wheels on the car looked different from the ones at the auto show when I was filming. I thought I’d misremembered.”

”Cars are meant to be enjoyed. If you’re too precious with them, they lose their purpose.”

”Only someone as rich as you would dare to have fun like that.”

Xiaoteng sighed. ”A set of wheels costs hundreds of thousands. Not everyone can afford to replace them every once in a while.”

”I’ve seen your car videos. You seem to have plenty of fun yourself.”

”The cars I mess around with are in the range of several hundred thousand to a million. They can’t compare to yours.”

Xiaoteng laughed. ”We’re on completely different levels.”

”Oh, right. Speaking of cars...”

Xu Yun suddenly remembered something. ”Do you know about the Yangwang U9? I heard it’s out already. Do you have any connections to get one for me?”

”You want one?”

”A friend of mine said it looks pretty good. I want to give it a try.”

Xiaoteng nodded. ”Alright, I’ll try to contact the manufacturer and see if I can get one early. I’ll get back to you.”

After Xiaoteng left, Xino came out, having changed her clothes.

”Let’s go. Get in.”

Xu Yun grinned. ”I’ll take you for a spin on the highway.”

”Okay.”

In another villa, Lin Suiling had been agonizing all night over what happened yesterday.

Finally, she came to a decision.

Whether it was an ill-fated connection or not, it was still a romantic destiny bestowed by the heavens.

So, as long as Xu Yun wasn’t married, she could openly fight for him.

Besides, as the saying went, ”one night as a couple means a hundred days of grace.” After what had happened between them yesterday, the deed was already done.

What’s more, her father had been constantly pressuring her to find a boyfriend. She could use Xu Yun to get him off her back for a while.

But this plan had its own difficulty.

To prevent the family fortune from falling into an outsider’s hands, her father wanted her to find a husband who would marry into their family. That way, any future sons would take her surname, and the assets wouldn’t be considered lost to another family.

But whenever she thought about how he had casually pulled out 280 million to buy a house, she knew that getting a man like Xu Yun to marry into her family was practically impossible.

Her family was considered wealthy, but she suspected they still fell a little short compared to Xu Yun’s.

After all, parents who would let their child casually spend hundreds of millions in cash had to have an incredibly powerful family background.

Then again, only a man as exceptional as Xu Yun was worthy of her, Lin Suiling.

Lin Suiling’s way of thinking was completely different from her father’s.

Since she couldn’t find a suitable man who would marry into her family, finding a man even more impressive than herself—and her family—was an excellent alternative.

It was a union of powerhouses, meant to make both sides bigger and stronger.

It didn’t matter who ended up on top; in the end, the combined assets would belong to their children anyway.

Driving her Lamborghini, Lin Suiling arrived at the villa belonging to Xu Yun and Xino, ready to declare war on Xino and officially start fighting her for him.

A wealthy woman is never short on confidence.

But when she arrived at the gate, she found the courtyard locked. There was no one home.

She found the property management office and asked, only to learn that Xu Yun and his girlfriend had already left in their car that morning.

’He ran away?’

’Did he run away because of what happened yesterday? Is he afraid I’ll come after him and cause trouble?’

Lin Suiling took out her phone and called Xu Yun.

The call connected quickly.

Lin Suiling asked, ”Hello? Where are you?”

”On my way home.”

Xu Yun answered, ”We’ve been out for three days. If we don’t head back soon, my family will start to worry.”

”Then what about me?”

Lin Suiling said, flushing with anger, ”Yesterday, you and I... You’re not just planning to hit it and quit it, are you?”

”It was a spur-of-the-moment thing.”

Xu Yun sighed. ”Since it was an ill-fated encounter, we shouldn’t continue it. Let’s just pretend it was a pleasant dream.”

”Xu Yun, you bastard!”

Lin Suiling seethed, ”Don’t you ever let me see you in Hang City again, or I swear I’ll run you over!”

With that, she hung up.

Xu Yun was left speechless.

’That woman has an explosive temper. Good thing I got away fast,’ he thought. ’She’s nothing like a gentle southern beauty!’

At a highway rest stop, Xino stood by herself, waiting for Xu Yun to come back from the restroom.
