Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Chapter 150: Chapter 110: With a Body Like Yours, You Still Need to Go to the Gym?

Soon, the medical staff at the hospital had everything ready.

Jiang Peiyao’s younger brother, Jiang Ping’an, was wheeled out on a hospital bed and taken toward the ambulance.

As they passed by, Xu Yun took a look.

This was the first time he had seen the boy.

The six-year-old boy had delicate features. Dressed in a hospital gown, he lay quietly on the bed.

His frail body was covered in tubes, all his hair had fallen out, and his face was deathly pale.

After Xu Yun gave the doctor the address, he got into his car and followed them.

With the ambulance siren wailing, their journey to the airport was relatively clear.

Someone had already been assigned to wait for them in the airport parking lot.

Once they met and confirmed their identities, the contact person immediately led the ambulance through a special access gate and drove onto the tarmac.

The parking area for private jets was separate from that of commercial airliners.

So, it didn’t take long for the ambulance to pull up right in front of the plane.

The Gulfstream private jet was much smaller and sleeker than a commercial airliner.

The ground crew helped the medical staff carefully transfer Jiang Ping’an onto the plane.

Because the seating and space on the plane were limited, it couldn’t accommodate many people.

So, only Jiang Peiyao went with them on the plane, while Xu Yun stayed behind in his car.

’Besides paying for everything, it’s not like I’d be any use over there anyway.’

Before takeoff, Xu Yun said to her, ”Call me immediately if you run into any trouble over there.”

”Okay.” Jiang Peiyao nodded.

Xu Yun reached out and caressed her face, comforting her. ”Don’t worry. Your brother is so adorable. Good people are always looked after by fate.”

”Mhm.”

Soon, the plane’s engines roared to life, and it began to take off.

Xu Yun stood in front of his Bentley, head tilted back, watching the plane fly overhead, somewhat lost in thought.

’I can’t believe I’m actually doing something as badass as chartering a private jet.’

’When I get the chance, I’ll have to get a private jet of my own. Wouldn’t that be so much classier than some sports car?’

The empty airfield, the white Bentley, the handsome man, the ascending plane.

Together in the same frame, they composed a perfect scene.

Not far away, a woman in a bank uniform watched the scene, looking captivated.

She couldn’t resist taking out her phone and secretly snapping a picture.

Then, she walked over.

Just as Xu Yun was lost in his reverie, a woman approached and called out enthusiastically, ”Mr. Xu.”

Xu Yun snapped out of it and turned to look at the tall, beautiful woman before him, his eyes filled with confusion.

”I’m your private banker.”

The woman introduced herself with a smile. ”My name is Cai Shiwei. We’ve spoken on the phone before.”

”Ah, Manager Cai. Hello.”

Xu Yun had only ever spoken to her on the phone; he had never met her in person.

He laughed. ”I didn’t expect you to be so young and beautiful!”

”And I didn’t expect you to be so young and handsome, President Xu.”

Cai Shiwei said, ”Don’t worry about the hospital. We’ve already contacted them, and someone will be assigned to assist them the entire time.”

”You’re so capable. Has your bank ever considered promoting you to vice president?”

”Let’s hope your good words make it happen. I hope to make that dream come true before I turn fifty.”

”By the way,” Xu Yun asked teasingly, ”did you just happen to show up today hoping I’d buy you a meal?”

”You did promise me, after all.”

Cai Shiwei smiled. ”I was afraid if I didn’t take the initiative, you’d soon forget.”

”Alright then, let’s go. I’ll treat you to breakfast.”

Xu Yun rubbed his stomach. ”I’m starving.”

”In that case, how about some beef noodle soup?”

”Whatever you want. You lead the way, my treat.”

”Then I guess I’ll have to bum a ride off you.”

Cai Shiwei said, ”I didn’t drive today.”

”Sure thing. Hop in.”

The two of them left the airport and went to a streetside noodle shop, where they each ordered a bowl of beef noodle soup.

Xu Yun asked curiously, ”Manager Cai, how much does a private jet usually cost?”

”Usually, they start in the tens of millions. It depends on the specific model you’re looking for.”

Cai Shiwei replied, ”The most common are Gulfstream business jets. For example, the reference price for a Gulfstream G650 is around 417.09 million yuan. Models like the G450 are a bit cheaper, but I’m not sure of the exact price. You’d have to consult with the relevant agencies for that.”

”...”

Xu Yun was secretly blown away. ’These planes really are expensive!’

’Definitely not something I can afford right now!’

Cai Shiwei asked, ”Mr. Xu, are you thinking about purchasing one? I can help you get in touch with the right people.”

”Not at all, I was just curious.”

Xu Yun laughed. ”Maybe in the future. If I ever feel the need, I might just buy one for fun.”

”...” Cai Shiwei’s eyelid twitched.

’Good grief,’ she thought. ’Buying a plane just for fun.’

’This is a private jet we’re talking about, not a sports car!’

’Setting aside the cost of the plane itself, from what she knew, the annual maintenance for the aircraft and its crew could run into the tens of millions!’

’That’s why many tycoons who bought planes would lease them out through third-party agencies when they weren’t using them, just to help cover the maintenance costs.’

’Every little bit helps, after all.’

’The Gulfstream G450 that Xu Yun chartered today, for example, belonged to some other tycoon who had placed it with an agency.’

The two of them continued to chat casually about other things as they ate.

’With such a perfect opportunity, I thought she was going to try and sell me some financial products,’ Xu Yun mused. ’But all she did was eat beef noodle soup and make small talk.’

Xu Yun praised her bank’s service and then briefly mentioned Jiang Peiyao’s situation regarding her house and the bank.

Jiang Peiyao’s house was mortgaged to China Construction Bank.

Even though it wasn’t her bank, they were all part of the same financial system, so it should be easy enough to handle.
