Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Chapter 130: Chapter 105: Do as You Please, That’s the Life of a Tycoon

After leaving the Patek Philippe store, Xu Yun put on the watch.

At the same time, the system’s reward notification sounded.

[Faced with the aristocrat of luxury watches, the Host did as he pleased and purchased the most expensive watch in the store. Mood: Elated. Reward: 5,000,000 in cash!]

[Bank Card Balance: Approx. 20,030,000]

Xu Yun smiled. Without even realizing it, his savings had already surpassed 20 million.

He wasn’t deliberately trying to earn money from the system, but the more he bought, the more he made.

For most people, the more money they spent, the less they had. But for him, it was the opposite—the more he spent, the more he got, just like a snowball rolling downhill.

And the more expensive the item, the bigger the reward.

A glint appeared in Yu Xuan’s eyes.

’That isn’t a watch he’s wearing. That’s a whole house on his wrist—a house she could only dream of buying.’

That’s just how the world is. Some people can casually buy a watch worth the price of a house.

While others can work hard their entire lives and still not be able to afford one.

Yu Xuan had been a hotel butler for many years, but to be honest, today was the first time she had ever accompanied a guest to a Patek Philippe store.

This also made her realize something: buying a watch from this brand didn’t actually involve that many rules, and it wasn’t as complicated as the rumors online made it out to be.

As long as you had the money, you were good to go!

’They say all beautiful women are whores who only know how to fawn over the rich.’

’But isn’t the world a whore, too?’

’It fawns over the rich all the same.’

Chen Xin’s mindset was different from Yu Xuan’s. After they left, she remarked to Xu Yun, ”The way you were acting in there, you really looked like some nouveau riche guy.”

”What, you look down on the nouveau riche?”

”No.”

Chen Xin smiled. ”I just thought it was different from the you I’ve gotten to know these past few days.”

”I was a little angry just now.”

Xu Yun replied, ”What was that all about? I asked him to show me some watches, and he only shows me the basic models. What’s that supposed to mean? Was he afraid I couldn’t afford the expensive ones?”

”Actually, you misunderstood him.”

Chen Xin, having snapped out of it, just remembered that she had specifically researched this brand’s purchasing rules when she was writing her OP protagonist novels.

She’d had a sudden mental block and forgotten about it, but now it all came back to her.

”When you buy a Patek Philippe, new customers have to start with the basic models. Only after you’ve bought a certain number and become a VIP will they offer you the better, more popular models, or even limited editions.”

”To put it bluntly, Patek Philippe only produces a limited number of watches each year. With so many people around the world wanting to buy them, they always prioritize their long-standing customers.”

”...”

After hearing this, Xu Yun shot Chen Xin a look. ”Why didn’t you say that when we were in the store?”

”I forgot.”

Chen Xin asked with a laugh, ”You were acting so domineering just now. What if the most expensive watch in the store wasn’t just over 3 million, but over 30 million? Would you still have bought it?”

”If I have the money, I’ll buy it.”

Xu Yun replied, ”Besides, if it was really too expensive and I couldn’t afford it, I’d just make up an excuse not to take it.”

”Then I’d have him show me the second most expensive one!”

”Uh, wouldn’t you feel awkward...?”

”As long as I’m not the one feeling awkward, someone else will be.”

”Hahaha...” Chen Xin couldn’t help but laugh out loud.

Yu Xuan smiled along with them.

’Mr. Xu isn’t just rich, he’s also really funny!’

After buying the watch, the three of them went out for hot pot for lunch, at Xu Yun’s suggestion.

He really wasn’t used to a lot of Shanghai’s food; the flavors were generally on the sweeter side.

A boiling hot, spicy hot pot really hit the spot.

Xu Yun and Chen Xin both ate with gusto, while Yu Xuan, who couldn’t handle spicy food, just cooked a few vegetables in the clear broth.

After lunch, they returned to the hotel. In the afternoon, Yu Xuan arranged an essential oil SPA and full-body massage for Chen Xin, letting her experience a Thai massage.

It was a complimentary hotel service, after all.

Meanwhile, Xu Yun went back to his room, soaked in the pool, and enjoyed a sunbath.

Yu Xuan stood by the edge of the pool with a bath towel, ready to assist Xu Yun at a moment’s notice.

Half an hour later, Xu Yun got out and took the towel from Yu Xuan to dry himself off.

He lay down on a lounge chair and rubbed his forehead with his hand.

Seeing this, Yu Xuan asked, ”Mr. Xu, is your head bothering you?”

”Yeah, it suddenly started hurting a little.”

”Would you like me to massage it for you?”

Xu Yun asked curiously, ”You know how to give massages, too?”

”We hotel butlers are trained in a little bit of everything in order to better serve our guests.”

”Alright then, give it a try.”

”It’s not very convenient here.”

Yu Xuan said, ”Let’s go over to the sofa in the living room.”

”Okay.”

The two went into the living room, where Yu Xuan had Xu Yun lean back against the sofa with his head tilted back.

She went to wash her hands, then began to gently massage his head.

Starting from the nape of his neck, she slowly worked her way up, bit by bit.

Her touch was very gentle.

”Mr. Xu, is this pressure okay?”

”Yes, it’s just right.”

He had to admit, Yu Xuan really knew what she was doing.

After one pass, he could tell her technique was excellent. The massage felt very comfortable on his head.

The only head massage service Xu Yun had ever enjoyed before was a few presses from the shampoo girl at a hair salon.

”Your technique is very professional.”

Xu Yun couldn’t help but praise her with his eyes closed. ”Besides massages, what other Skills do you have?”

”Acupuncture, makeup, crafts, photography, storytelling.”

”Storytelling?”

Xu Yun asked, ”That’s a Skill, too?”

”Yes. Some guests have children, and we’re sometimes responsible for telling them bedtime stories to help them fall asleep quickly.”

”Uh, that’s incredibly detailed service.”

Xu Yun asked curiously, ”What if an adult can’t sleep? Can they request that service too?”
