Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Chapter 124: Chapter 103: My Water Heater Is a Little Broken, Waiting for You to Come Back and Fix It (Part 3)

Screw it. Time to get this over with.

Seeing this, Liang Yan didn’t panic in the slightest, nor did she resist.

She said provocatively, ”You’d better think this through. Your girlfriend is still in her room upstairs. Aren’t you afraid she’ll come out and catch us?”

”Isn’t this exactly what you wanted?”

Xu Yun sneered and threatened her outright. ”It all depends on your performance. If you dare make a single sound, you can forget about getting anything from me.”

”...” Liang Yan was speechless.

’She had thought she was the one carefully setting the trap, making him lose his head. But it turned out he had seen through her petty tricks long ago.’

’I really underestimated this young man.’

Liang Yan leaned in, deliberately whispering in Xu Yun’s ear with a taunt, ”There’s a lot of resistance in the water. You sure you can handle it?”

”Don’t worry. I guarantee I won’t let you down.”

While Liang Yan was still stunned, Xu Yun wasted no time and hit his mark in one swift motion.

He didn’t even warm up the engine, just started driving.

This time, Xu Yun was only concerned with his own pleasure, driving however he pleased with no regard for the car.

And with the Eight Pieces of Brocade empowering him, he shifted into high gear and redlined the engine.

At first, the car struggled to adapt. The engine shuddered, protesting the treatment.

But soon, man and machine began to sync up. Once he shifted to a high gear at low RPM, the ride became much smoother.

But Xu Yun seemed to be tormenting the car on purpose. Even on a straight road, he would slam the accelerator, then stomp on the brakes.

The car nearly broke down a few times, its engine on the verge of blowing.

Fortunately, Xu Yun held back, worried that such violent driving might cause the car to flip. After a little over ten minutes, he ran out of gas and came to a stop.

...

A moment later, Liang Yan was draped limply over the edge of the pool. Beads of moisture trickled down her face; it was impossible to tell if it was water or sweat.

In any case, her ass was a little sore.

Afterward, she turned back, somewhat vexed. ”I wasn’t going to fight back. Couldn’t you have been a little gentler?”

”I wasn’t in a gentle mood.”

Xu Yun shot her a look. ”Out with it. What did you want from me tonight?”

”Money.”

This time, Liang Yan didn’t beat around the bush. She said frankly, ”I’m short on cash and need it urgently. I was hoping you could help me out.”

”How much?”

”Five million!” Liang Yan answered.

Hearing this, Xu Yun couldn’t help but sneer. ”President Liang, are you kidding me? You think you’re worth five million? Even one studded with diamonds wouldn’t be that expensive.”

”You’ve got it wrong. I’m not charging for my body. Consider that a freebie.”

Soaking in the water, Liang Yan tilted her head up slightly to look at Xu Yun and explained, ”And I’m not just asking for five million for nothing. I’m planning to produce a short film. I’ve already sorted out the script and everything. If you’re willing to invest and partner with me, we’ll split the profits fifty-fifty when it’s done.”

”It’s just a short film, and it’s not like you’re hiring any big-name actors. Why so expensive?”

Xu Yun didn’t get it. ”You’re not trying to scam me, are you?” he asked.

”No. The production itself doesn’t cost much. You can shoot one for a few hundred thousand, maybe a million.”

Liang Yan said, ”But after it’s filmed, the distribution costs are extremely high. It’s a real cash burn, and I can’t handle it on my own.”

”Didn’t you just make seven million from selling me that house?”

Xu Yun asked in confusion, ”You’ve spent it all already?”

”I paid off a debt.”

Liang Yan sighed. ”I lost a huge amount of money on a previous business partnership. The money from the house was just enough to cover what I owed.”

”Fine. I’m a man of my word. You didn’t make a sound just now, so I’ll give you a chance.”

There wasn’t a shred of affection between Xu Yun and Liang Yan. Even after their passionate encounter, he felt no pity for her.

In truth, his previous company had been in the media industry. While he wasn’t an expert on short films, he was optimistic about their prospects.

He had been thinking of trying his hand at it anyway, and now Liang Yan had come knocking.

It was a perfect opportunity, and it would be foolish to pass it up.

Besides, he had tens of millions in his startup fund, so he wasn’t afraid of taking a loss.

Xu Yun said, ”When you get back to Jiangcheng, go find a woman named Su Mu.

She’s the CEO of my media company. Tell her I sent you, and pitch her your idea for the short film.

If you can convince her to invest in you, then you have a deal.”

”You’re not tricking me?”

Liang Yan then asked, ”Is she your woman?”

”What do you think?”

”Then you can’t make the decision yourself?”

”I don’t get involved in company business. She calls the shots. The most I can do is make the introduction.”

”Fine.”

’Liang Yan had no other options at the moment. She had sacrificed her body, but at least it had earned her an opportunity.’

’She was Xu Yun’s woman, after all. Surely, she would give him some face.’

Just then, Chen Xin, who had been hiding in the room, finally lost her patience. She quietly opened the door and slipped out, planning to use the excuse of getting a drink of water to see what they were doing outside.

But when she came out, she saw they weren’t in the living room—they were on the balcony.

Not only that, but both of them were soaking in the pool fully clothed.

Xu Yun and Liang Yan spotted her at the same time.

Chen Xin walked over curiously and stood on the pool deck. She glanced at Liang Yan in the water, then at Xu Yun beside her.

”What happened?”

”She accidentally fell in.”

Xu Yun explained, ”I fell in trying to pull her out.”

Chen Xin was silent.

’Falling in is one thing,’ she thought, ’but why are her clothes torn?’

”Well, uh, I’m going to go get changed,”

Xu Yun said, feeling Chen Xin’s suspicious gaze as he hoisted himself out of the pool with both hands. ”You two chat.”

Chen Xin was speechless.

’I don’t even know her. What are we supposed to talk about?’

As the more experienced woman, Liang Yan was much calmer. She smiled and said, ”Do you have a spare bathrobe I could borrow? I don’t think I can wear these clothes anymore.”
