Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Chapter 114: Chapter 100: He’s Just Looking for a Chance to Devour Me

Knowing her place, Yu Xuan didn’t get involved.

Once she confirmed that Xu Yun had no desire to switch rooms and wasn’t dissatisfied, she produced the key card amidst their teasing and opened the door for them.

After they walked in, Yu Xuan began her familiar introduction to the room’s features.

She said, ”The difference between this and other rooms is that it’s a duplex penthouse suite with two floors.

Downstairs is the living room, dining room, a large balcony, and a multi-purpose gym.

Upstairs are two bedrooms.

Its most unique feature is that from the grand balcony, you have a full view of Shanghai’s trio of iconic skyscrapers.

Not only that, but there’s also an infinity pool high up on the balcony.

At night, you two can swim in it and look up to admire the romantic starry sky above.”

Chen Xin pushed open the massive glass doors of the living room and walked a few steps out onto the balcony.

Her heart instantly skipped a beat when she saw the incredibly beautiful, frameless glass swimming pool before her.

At such a high altitude, there was actually such a gorgeous swimming pool.

’Can you believe it?’

For any woman, the allure was simply off the charts.

But she quickly remembered that she hadn’t seemed to have packed a swimsuit.

Xu Yun was also very pleased with the pool.

Yu Xuan smiled and said, ”At night, the grand hall next door often holds executive cocktail parties. They’re quite lively. You’re welcome to go check them out.”

”Can we go without an invitation?”

Xu Yun asked doubtfully, ”We won’t get kicked out?”

”Generally not.”

Yu Xuan explained, ”After all, guests who can stay on our top floor are usually of high status. They would be more than happy to have you join.”

”If there’s one later, we can go take a look.”

After finishing her introduction, Yu Xuan handed the room key to Xu Yun and said, ”Mr. Xu, here is the key card. You two can rest in the hotel for a bit.

In the evening, you can also go out and try the local delicacies nearby. They’re quite good.

I’ll come to pick you up tomorrow morning and take you to Disney.”

”Okay, thank you for your hard work.”

After Yu Xuan, the hotel butler, left, Chen Xin snapped out of her immense surprise and suddenly felt that the travel guide she had put together last night was completely useless.

There was simply no need for it.

She asked with some curiosity, ”Brother Xu, when did you arrange all of this?”

”Last night.”

Xu Yun explained, ”I’m a private banking client at Construction Bank, so I just gave them a call yesterday, and they arranged everything. All I had to do was pay.”

”About how much is this hotel for one night?”

Chen Xin said, ”I have a feeling it’s definitely not cheap.”

”When you’re out having fun, you shouldn’t be thinking about saving money.”

Xu Yun said with a smile, ”Although it’s a bit expensive, tens of thousands a night, I quite like this room.”

”...” Chen Xin.

’Oh my god, tens of thousands a night!’

She couldn’t help but swallow hard, frightened by the price.

’I could never afford a room like this without Xu Yun!’

Afterward, the two went upstairs, each chose a room, and began to unpack their luggage.

The hotel provided all the basic toiletries, and they were all from major brands.

Chen Xin glanced at her own cheap products, decisively abandoned them, and opted to use the hotel’s instead.

Half an hour later, the two had finished unpacking and were ready to go out for dinner.

As the hotel’s most valued guests, all of the hotel’s services were available to them free of charge.

However, the two didn’t choose to have a free dinner at the hotel, but instead planned to go out for some local specialty snacks.

There were indeed many home-style eateries around the hotel, making it very convenient to go out for a late-night snack and just eat and stroll.

The two wandered for a while, and when they passed a place called ”Xiaoyang Frying,” Chen Xin stopped.

She said, ”How about we go try this?”

”Sure, let’s go give it a try.” Xu Yun was very indifferent when it came to food and was never a picky eater.

The two entered the shop.

Chen Xin recalled the guide she’d made and explained, ”I read online that these are delicious. They’re a native Shanghai snack, also known as ’shengjian’ steamed buns.

The skin is crispy, the filling is rich and fragrant, and the shape is delicate. It’s a delicious combination of savory meat, fragrant oil, and fresh scallions.”

Seeing that Chen Xin was speaking Mandarin and not the Shanghai dialect, the owner at the side asked with a warm smile, ”Are you two here on vacation?”

”That’s right, sir.”

Xu Yun smiled. ”You can’t overcharge us just because we’re from out of town.”

”That won’t happen.”

The owner replied, ”Our Xiaoyang Frying has a great reputation. It’s cheap and delicious. You’ve definitely come to the right place.”

Xu Yun just took the owner’s words with a grain of salt. He didn’t believe a single word of it, anyway.

Go to any shop, and the owner will tell you pretty much the same thing.

”Is that so?”

Xu Yun said, ”Then we’ll have to try it. If it’s not good, we’re not paying you.”

”Of course, no problem.”

The owner said confidently, ”You eat. If it’s not good, you don’t pay.”

Xu Yun had expected the owner to be all talk, but after trying the food, he found its taste certainly didn’t disappoint.

Although it wasn’t as amazing as Chen Xin had described, it was still quite good.

Xu Yun paid, and then continued to stroll around with Chen Xin.

Using Chen Xin’s guide, the two found another shop and had a bowl of another local specialty, Three-Delicacy Wontons.

The filling wasn’t the typical mix of fresh pork, dried shrimp, and pickled mustard greens, but was made of pure meat instead.

The so-called ”three delicacies” were all in the soup: shredded egg, dried shrimp, and seaweed. The thin-skinned wontons, filled with fresh meat and swimming in this flavorful broth, had a fresh, savory, and smooth texture.

Xu Yun must have been a bit hungry, as he ate three bowls in one go.

Chen Xin had one bowl.

After they were full, the two didn’t continue to wander but returned to the hotel.

Since they had been walking around all evening and were rather sweaty, Xu Yun went to take a shower in the bathroom as soon as they got back.

Chen Xin would wash up after him.

But as she was waiting, she heard Xu Yun’s voice from inside.

”Chen Xin~”

”Huh?”

Chen Xin was looking at a guide for Disney tomorrow. Hearing Xu Yun call her, she answered.

”I forgot to bring my shorts in. Can you help me grab them?”

”Ah? Oh.”

Chen Xin’s face turned red. She asked, a little embarrassed, ”Where are they?”

”At the very bottom of my suitcase, in a small bag.”

Chen Xin went to Xu Yun’s bedroom, opened his suitcase, and found his shorts.

’This is the first time in my life I’ve had to get a guy’s shorts for him.’

’Good thing these all look new and unworn. I can handle this.’

She picked up the shorts, walked to the bathroom door, knocked, and said, ”Can I just leave them at the door for you?”

”The door’s unlocked, just come in.”

”...”

Chen Xin hesitated for a few seconds. Staring at the men’s shorts in her hand, she said in a small voice, ”Okay, I’m coming in.”

”Mhm, come on in.”

It was Chen Xin’s first time ever doing something like this, and she was very nervous.

She pushed the door open. After stepping inside, to avoid any awkwardness or seeing something she shouldn’t, she deliberately closed her eyes and fumbled her way forward.

The sound of the shower guided her.

Watching Chen Xin, Xu Yun couldn’t help but chuckle.

’I’m wrapped in a towel, not completely naked. What is she so afraid of!’

However, he didn’t say anything to alert her, instead just watching as she slowly felt her way toward him.

The unsuspecting Chen Xin was still holding out her hand, asking, ”Can you reach them now?”

”Nope, a little closer.”

Chen Xin took a few more steps forward and asked, ”How about now?”

”Just a little closer and I’ll get them.”

Chen Xin obediently continued to move forward.

”THUD!”

Because she took too large of a step, she walked right into the glass shower door, giving it an intimate kiss.

”Ah~” Chen Xin immediately squatted down, quickly raising her other hand to rub her forehead.

Xu Yun hadn’t expected her to crash. He immediately stepped forward to help her up, asking with concern, ”Are you okay? Does it hurt?”

As he spoke, he even gently blew on the spot.

Even in this situation, Chen Xin kept her eyes shut, terrified of seeing something she shouldn’t.

She could feel the heat radiating from Xu Yun’s body in front of her, feel the warmth of his breath as he spoke, and feel his broad hand on her forehead. Her heart began to pound—THUMP-THUMP-THUMP.

In her mind, Xu Yun was supposed to be completely naked, crouching in front of her.

’If I open my eyes right now...’

’A guy this handsome must have a great body, right?’

Chen Xin was a novelist, after all, and a writer of ”Shenhao” novels at that. She had secretly looked up plenty of racy scenes online for inspiration and had written quite a few herself. Her imagination was incredibly vivid.

Instantly, various bathroom-related plotlines began to surface in her mind, stimulating her.

It was so intense that she completely forgot about the pain in her forehead.

Xu Yun had no idea what Chen Xin was thinking at that moment. As he blew on her forehead, he reached out to rub the red mark and chuckled. ”Why’d you take such a giant leap at the end? You’re such a klutz.”

”It was to bring you your shorts!”

Chen Xin, blushing, stood up and said sullenly, ”Here are your shorts. I’m leaving now.”

”You can actually open your eyes, you know. It’s fine.”

Xu Yun smiled. ”You’ll be walking out with your back to me anyway, so you won’t see anything. Better than bumping into the door again.”

’That does make sense.’

Chen Xin turned herself around on the spot, then slowly opened her eyes.

It felt so good to see again.

Although it had only been a brief ten seconds or so, that feeling of blindness and insecurity was agonizing.

Just as Chen Xin was about to leave, Xu Yun suddenly grabbed her shoulders from behind and spun her around.

Caught completely off guard, Chen Xin was taken by surprise and didn’t even have time to close her eyes.

Just when she thought she was about to see everything, she found that Xu Yun wasn’t naked at all, but was wrapped in a white bath towel.

”...” Chen Xin.

Seeing her dumbfounded expression, Xu Yun couldn’t help but ask with a grin, ”A little disappointed you didn’t get to see what you were imagining?”

”You’re wearing a towel! Why didn’t you say so earlier!”

Realizing she’d been tricked by Xu Yun, Chen Xin said, a mix of shame and anger in her voice, ”You made me... just now...”

”You didn’t ask. You just came in and squeezed your eyes shut.”

Xu Yun chuckled. ”Besides, didn’t I just tell you?

That it was okay to open your eyes? You were the one who didn’t. Who’s to blame?”

”...” Chen Xin.

”Actually, in your heart, you wanted to open your eyes and look, right?”

Xu Yun teased, ”How about I take the towel off?”

”No, I didn’t.”

Being teased like this, Chen Xin’s ears turned red as she denied it. ”I don’t want to see you at all.”

After saying that, she got so scared and flustered that she immediately spun around and fled the room!

Her shy reaction was absolutely adorable.
