Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Chapter 111: Chapter 97: How About Locking Her in a Little Black Room and Forcing Her to Write for Everyone?

”Look at you, smiling so happily.”

Sun Yi taunted, ”I never thought our beautiful Miss Zhang would get spring fever.”

”Sun Yi, I don’t care if you try to steal other clients.”

Zhang Jiaxin said, displeased, ”But you can’t steal Xu Yun. If you do, we’re done.”

”Hmph. May the best woman win.”

Sun Yi said fearlessly, ”You think just because he’s your client, he belongs to you?

You always act so pure and chaste, but as soon as you see a rich, handsome man, you’re just as shameless as the rest of us.”

”...” Zhang Jiaxin lowered her head, her face immediately turning red.

She really hadn’t been aware of it.

”Nothing to say?”

Sun Yi said, ”Besides, it doesn’t look like that Brother Xu is very interested in you. He probably prefers my type, haha...”

”...” Zhang Jiaxin.

....

Xu Yun left his residential complex, driving his Bentley Flying Spur toward Ning Qian’s District.

At the same time, he dialed Chen Xin’s number.

”Hello?” A gentle and sweet female voice sounded.

”You must be Chen Xin, right?”

Xu Yun asked with a smile, ”My mom told me about you. My name is Xu Yun. I’m sorry, but the apartment has been rented out. My mom didn’t know.

I’m coming to pick you up right now. Just wait a bit, I’m stuck in a little traffic.”

”Okay, that’s fine. There’s no rush.”

It was the first time Chen Xin had heard Xu Yun’s voice, and she thought it sounded quite nice.

She said, a little nervously, ”Just drive slowly and be safe on the road.”

”Uh, okay.”

After getting the call from Xu Yun, Chen Xin felt like she hadn’t waited long before she saw a tall, handsome man walking over.

’Is that Xu Yun?’

’He looks pretty much the same as in the photo Auntie showed me.’

’So the photo wasn’t a catfish. Auntie didn’t lie to me.’

After entering the residential complex, Xu Yun glanced around and saw a girl in a long white dress sitting not far from the area where seniors do their daily exercises. Next to her was a rather nice-looking suitcase.

’That must be her.’

Xu Yun walked toward her, but froze as he got closer.

’This girl looks a little familiar. I feel like I’ve seen her somewhere before.’

”Are you Chen Xin?” Xu Yun asked, taking the initiative.

Chen Xin stood up and nodded. ”I am. Are you Xu Yun?”

”Mhm.”

Xu Yun reached out, took the handle of the suitcase, and started pulling it. ”Let’s go. Come home with me.”

”Oh.”

Chen Xin said, a bit shyly, ”If I stay at your place, will I be bothering you?”

”Not at all. I live alone anyway.”

Xu Yun laughed. ”My place is pretty spacious, and the soundproofing is decent. Even if you snore like thunder at night, I might not even hear it.”

”I don’t snore.”

Chen Xin explained in a small voice, her face blushing, ”I’m a very quiet sleeper.”

”Hahaha, I’m just kidding.”

Chen Xin: ”...”

Online, and in her novels, she was full of brazen banter.

But in real life, she was incredibly introverted, shy, and had social anxiety.

However, she had the observant eyes of a habitual people-watcher—a common trait among all web novel authors.

Because the material and characters in novels don’t just appear out of thin air. A large part of them comes from the life happening around the author, which is then modified.

Besides, after the incident with Aunt Zhang’s designer brands, Chen Xin had already formed some theories about Xu Yun.

At the very least, that he was a very wealthy but low-key man.

Sure enough, as Chen Xin sized up Xu Yun, she noticed the watch on his wrist was a classic Rolex ”Chocolate.”

It was the same model that Yu Wenle used to wear, worth over 200,000 yuan—equivalent to two or three years of her royalties.

As they walked, they arrived in front of a white Bentley, and Chen Xin thought, ’That car is beautiful.’

The next second, she saw Xu Yun, who was beside her, open the car’s trunk and put her luggage inside.

”...” Chen Xin.

’The car is actually his.’

As an author who wrote ”nouveau riche” novels, she certainly recognized the car. A Bentley Flying Spur, worth over 3 million yuan!

That would probably take her more than thirty years’ worth of royalties.

”Get in.”

While Chen Xin was still dazed, Xu Yun had already opened the passenger door for her.

”Ah? Thank you.”

Chen Xin snapped out of it and quickly got into the car, feeling slightly nervous.

’From now on, I guess I can say I’ve ridden in a Bentley.’

After Xu Yun got in the car too, he asked with a smile, ”Have you eaten?”

”I ate on the bullet train. I’m not hungry.”

Chen Xin had just finished speaking when her stomach let out an insubordinate ”RUMBLE.”

”...”

Chen Xin was instantly mortified. She tried to explain weakly, ”My stomach has been a little upset lately, it makes strange noises sometimes.”

”Girls who lie aren’t cute at all, you know.”

Xu Yun chuckled. ”Well then, let’s go get some hot pot. I haven’t had it in a long time either.”

”...” Chen Xin.

’Oh god, I want to crawl under the seat and die. This is so embarrassing.’

Holding her phone, she secretly snapped a photo of Xu Yun driving, but it wasn’t a full-body shot and didn’t show his face.

Then she sent it to her reader group chat.

[Hua Zhu: I met up with the son of the auntie who lives across the hall today. I’m in his car right now, so nervous.]

The group chat immediately came to life.

[Xiao Lou: You’re a man, what the hell is there to be nervous about!]

[Liu An Hua You Ming: Is he as handsome as me?]

[Durian Dumpling: Didn’t you say he was a nouveau riche before? Author, show us the car logo, I want to see.]

[A Touch of Smile: Yeah, hurry up and post it for us to see.]

Seeing everyone’s requests, Chen Xin peeked at Xu Yun, then snapped a picture of the gear stick and sent it to the group.

[Wu Yu He Jian: Holy shit, it’s the big B!]

[Fierce Man: A true whale, no doubt.]

[Wind: Author, you should sacrifice yourself tonight. Pull some strings, you might get another Huang Jinmeng.]

[Supreme Lord of Melon Eaters: Ask that big bro for me, is he looking for a girlfriend?]

[Fei Fei: @Hua Zhu, Author, for real, rich people can be pretty twisted. A boy needs to remember to protect himself when he’s out and about.]

While Chen Xin was chatting with her readers in the group, Xu Yun was also racking his brain, trying to remember.

Because the more he looked at Chen Xin, the more he felt he had seen her before. But he just couldn’t place her; he was missing that tiny spark of inspiration.

A short while later, the two arrived at a Haidilao in Jiangcheng.

To be honest, Xu Yun rarely ate here. Before, it was because he couldn’t afford it. It was also because the hot pot here was relatively mild, not quite suited for his preference for strong flavors.

But he chose this place to be considerate of the girl, worried that she might not be able to handle food that was too spicy.

The two ordered a yuan-yang pot, some standard dishes, and a bottle of juice.

Then they started digging in.

During the meal, Xu Yun noticed that if he didn’t initiate conversation, she would just stay quiet.

Head down, chowing down!

To alleviate the awkward atmosphere, Xu Yun took the initiative to chat with her.

He started by asking about Chen Xin’s job.

”What do you do for work?”

Chen Xin wanted to say she was unemployed, a freelancer.

But then she remembered him saying he didn’t like girls who lie. After hesitating for a few seconds, she said, ”Are you familiar with web novels? I’m a web novel author.”

”???” Xu Yun.

As soon as she said that, he instantly grasped that fleeting thread of inspiration.

Novels!

He remembered!

Xu Yun looked at Chen Xin as his memories gradually merged, identifying her as that person!

He finally remembered where he had seen her before.

It was after he had given a Huang Jinmeng award to the author of a book, and she had sent him a selfie!

Wasn’t it the very girl in front of him?

He never expected that the girl who lived across from his mom, the one his mom had tricked into a blind date with him, was actually the author he had sponsored!

’What a coincidence.’

After realizing this, when Xu Yun looked at Chen Xin again, there was a new hint of slyness and amusement in his eyes.

’After dinner...’

’Should I lock her in a ”small black room” and force her to churn out Chapters for everyone?’
