Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Chapter 116: Chapter 101: You’re Not Watching the Fireworks, Why Are You Looking at Me?

And so, under the envious gazes of the crowd, Xu Yun and Chen Xin made their way through the masses, entering the park in an instant via a nearly deserted lane.

Along the way, Chen Xin asked curiously, ”How much are these ’Supreme VIP’ tickets?”

”I don’t know.”

Xu Yun turned to Yu Xuan beside him and asked, ”How much is one of these tickets?”

”16,800 yuan each,” Yu Xuan replied.

”!!!”

Hearing this, Chen Xin couldn’t help but shake her head. That was just too extravagant!

After all, she had looked it up online, and a regular ticket was only 500 yuan!

Although Xu Yun also thought it was a little expensive, he felt it was worth it.

He was getting to enjoy special privileges that ordinary people couldn’t.

While everyone else was toiling away in line under the hot sun, he could get into the park in an instant.

After they entered the park, Yu Xuan left, planning to pick them up in the evening. Taking over their itinerary was one of the park’s professional personal butlers, who would provide 24-hour service and assistance.

Soon, the two arrived at the first attraction. The line was still very long.

Xu Yun shook his head at the sight. ”I didn’t expect the lines inside to be even longer.”

Chen Xin said with a smile, ”People online say that even if you have a ticket for the attractions in here, if you don’t book a time slot on the mobile app beforehand, you can’t ride them even if you wait in line.”

”What a rip-off.”

Xu Yun muttered, then asked their personal butler, ”We don’t have to make reservations, do we?”

”Mr. Xu, our tier doesn’t require reservations.”

The park butler replied with a smile, ”Whenever you want to ride something, I can take you there directly, and there’s no limit on the number of times.”

”Great, let’s go have some fun.”

After the professional park butler showed their tickets to the staff, they didn’t have to get in line or even use the priority lane—they went straight in through the exit.

The other visitors waiting in line looked on, their eyes filled with envy and jealousy.

There was nothing to be done about it; this was a world where money talked.

No matter where you were, as long as you were willing and able to spend money, you could enjoy a different level of treatment than others.

Some say money can’t buy time.

But that required closer analysis. Right now, for example, Xu Yun’s money was buying back the time he would have wasted in line.

Xu Yun and Chen Xin walked into the passageway, where a small screen appeared before them, playing a video that went on, blah, blah, blah, mostly about safety precautions.

There was a white marker on the floor at each person’s feet, indicating their seat number.

Once inside the room, they just had to find their corresponding seats.

Naturally, Xu Yun and Chen Xin’s seats were next to each other.

Thanks to the privileges of their tickets, they were in the front row—the best seats for viewing.

Walking into the room, the two of them looked around. The environment was very dark, somewhat like a large movie theater.

In the center of the front wall was a massive screen.

As the movie played, the seats would lift into the air and move closer to the screen for what they called a 4D fantasy journey.

It featured famous landscapes from all over the world, like the Arctic, Africa, the Great Wall, and so on...

To be honest, this attraction held zero appeal for Xu Yun.

But Chen Xin seemed to quite enjoy it.

As they came out of the exit passageway, Chen Xin immediately ”interviewed” Xu Yun, asking with a smile, ”What did you think?”

”It was okay.”

Xu Yun replied, ”But if you’d asked me to wait in line for two hours for a five-minute ride, I would’ve given up without a second thought.”

”Hahaha, I would have too.”

Chen Xin said, ”This ride is just an appetizer. For the best immersive experience, it has to be Pirates of the Caribbean. People online say it’s a must-do. Come on, let’s go try it.”

”Alright.”

Xu Yun smiled. ”Right now, we’ll go wherever you say.”

The professional personal butler beside them offered no opinion, only responsible for leading them to the attractions they wanted to ride and showing them the way.

If they had any questions, he would also provide answers.

The thirty-plus degree weather was sweltering as they walked.

Chen Xin asked Xu Yun if he wanted an ice cream bar, and Xu Yun nodded.

When they got to a shop, she casually picked up two Donald Duck ice cream bars and asked how much they were.

The clerk told her they were 50 yuan each.

Hearing this, Chen Xin decisively put one back, bought one for Xu Yun, and got a bottle of water for herself.

”I’ll just have water.”

”What, can’t bear to part with the money?” Xu Yun couldn’t help but laugh.

Chen Xin said honestly, ”Yeah, I can’t. It’s too expensive.”

”It’s fine. We can just share one.”

Xu Yun teased her deliberately, ”You can have a bite, then I’ll have a bite.”

”...”

In the end, Xu Yun didn’t eat it. He handed the ice cream bar to Chen Xin and drank his water.

It wasn’t that Xu Yun couldn’t afford it; he just didn’t care for sweets.

Chen Xin took a small bite of the ridiculously priced ice cream bar and felt it tasted about the same as one that cost just a few yuan. What a rip-off.

’Good thing I only bought one.’

After walking for a little over ten minutes, the two arrived at the second attraction: Pirates of the Caribbean.

This was a water ride, so the queuing area felt very damp.

But Xu Yun and Chen Xin once again enjoyed their special privilege: no queuing, straight in through the exit, and front-row seats.

Compared to the ”Flying Over the Horizon” attraction, this one was mainly a practical-effects experience, where you drifted on the water in a small boat.

As you entered, the scenery and dialogue would gradually draw you into the story, making it more immersive and awe-inspiring.

When they came out, Xu Yun was splashed with water.

Chen Xin couldn’t help but laugh. ”Hahaha, I told you to switch seats with me, but you wouldn’t.”

Xu Yun shot her a look and said, ”You knew all along that the person on the left gets splashed, didn’t you?”

”Yup.”
