Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Chapter 107: Chapter 95: This Guy Xu Yun Is Way Too Extravagant

At this moment, Chen Peng felt awkward.

It felt wrong to approach them and say hello, but it would be even worse not to.

Fortunately, his predicament didn’t last more than a few seconds, as Su Mu took the initiative and walked over to them.

Chen Peng’s heart tightened.

’No way. Has the official girlfriend already found out about Mr. Xu and Ning Qian? Is she here specifically to cause trouble?’

’Please, don’t let a fight break out!’

While Chen Peng worried and the other friends watched with puzzled expressions, Su Mu and Xu Yun walked up to Ning Qian.

She smiled and said, ”Xiaoqian, you’re here having dinner with friends too?”

”Hello, Sister Su.”

Ning Qian said with a smile, ”Mhm, just a little get-together with friends. Are you here with your boyfriend for dinner too?”

”No.”

Su Mu replied, ”What a memory you have. I told you last time, he’s just a regular friend.”

Hearing this, Chen Peng, who was standing by with his heart in his throat, was a little baffled.

’Not the official girlfriend?’

Su Mu glanced at Xu Yun again and said deliberately, ”Xu Yun, why don’t you add Xiaoqian’s WeChat? You can contact her directly when you want to buy clothes in the future.”

”Sure.”

Xu Yun smiled at Ning Qian. ”Here, let me add you.”

’Add him? We already have each other on WeChat.’

Seeing this, and afraid of exposing their relationship in front of Su Mu, Ning Qian quickly said, ”Sister Su, I’ve already resigned from the store.”

”You resigned?”

Su Mu was a little surprised. ”Why did you quit? Was the compensation not good?” she asked.

”No, I just didn’t want to do it anymore. I wanted to find a different job.”

”That makes sense. It’s not like you can sell clothes for the rest of your life.”

Su Mu said suddenly, ”Xu Yun, didn’t you just start a company?

I think Xiaoqian is great. Why don’t you hire her?”

”Uh...”

Xu Yun wasn’t afraid of being exposed, but he preferred not to be if it could be avoided.

Since Su Mu had said as much, it was exactly what he wanted. He went with the flow and said to Ning Qian, ”How about this, Ning Qian? Come work at my company as a receptionist. How does 20,000 a month sound?”

As soon as he said it, her friends were all stunned.

’A receptionist? And you’re paying them 20,000 a month?’

’What kind of boss is this?’

Suddenly, everyone was looking at Ning Qian with envy.

’Why don’t I ever run into such good luck, such a great boss?’

Only Chen Peng knew the inside story. He wouldn’t have been surprised if the offer was 200,000 a month, let alone 20,000.

”Okay.”

Without a moment’s hesitation, Ning Qian smiled and said, ”Then I have Sister Su and Brother Xu to thank.”

’Su Mu had originally thought that instead of letting Ning Qian fool around with Xu Yun out of her sight, it would be better to use this chance to get the girl right under her nose. That way, she could keep an eye on things.’

’But she hadn’t expected her to agree so quickly, much less for Xu Yun to offer such a high salary.’

’Then again, given their relationship, the money made sense.’

’Doesn’t keeping a mistress cost money?’

’He’s doing this right in front of me so he can openly pay her in the future—and through the company’s books, no less!’

”Don’t mention it. We’re no strangers here,”

she said to Ning Qian with profound meaning, with no intention of exposing Xu Yun.

Then she deliberately turned to the others and said, ”You’re all Ning Qian’s friends, right? Dinner is my treat, and this boss here next to me will be paying the bill. He’s a very generous man.”

”...” Xu Yun was speechless.

’Fine, fine, fine. You treat, I pay.’

’If you weren’t my woman, I’d kick you to the moon.’

Chen Peng quickly interjected, ”No, no, that’s not necessary. We can pay for ourselves.”

”Let me get it.”

Xu Yun said with a smile, ”It’s the first time we’re meeting, and since you’re all Ning Qian’s friends, I’ll take care of the bill.”

”Thank you, Mr. Xu.” Chen Peng recognized Xu Yun. Since Xu Yun himself had made the offer, Chen Peng no longer refused.

He was supposed to be the one treating today, after all.

He could speak for the group.

”And Ning Qian,”

Xu Yun winked at her. ”Since you’ve agreed to come work for my company, we’ll be starting renovations in a few days. If you have time, go help supervise. You’ll be on the clock, of course.”

”Okay, I will,” Ning Qian replied with an unusually docile nod.

”Alright, we’ll let you get back to your dinner. We won’t disturb you any longer.”

After speaking, Xu Yun looked at Su Mu. ”Let’s go find our own table.”

After Xu Yun and Su Mu left, the table immediately erupted in chatter.

Their words and their gazes were filled with envy for Ning Qian.

Ning Qian responded to them one by one.

Only Chen Peng couldn’t quite figure it out. ’If that Su Mu isn’t Mr. Xu’s official girlfriend, then why didn’t Xu Yun and Ning Qian make their relationship clear just now?’

’And it was obvious that Ning Qian was hiding it, that she didn’t want the woman to know.’

’Could it be because Ning Qian’s background isn’t good enough? That she’s not worthy of Mr. Xu, and she’s afraid of embarrassing him if their relationship came out?’

’It’s true that Su Mu’s looks and aura were on a completely different level from Ning Qian’s. You could tell she was a wealthy woman with just one glance.’

’To think that his goddess had actually become a secret mistress, kept by a rich heir, unable to bring their relationship into the light.’

’This fucking life.’

Thinking this, Chen Peng glanced at Ning Qian, then downed a large glass of beer in one gulp.

「Elsewhere」

Once their food arrived, Su Mu began to eat while teasing, ”I never knew you were so generous with other women.”

”I’m not bad to you, either,”

Xu Yun teased back, ”I just gave you a few hundred million at home, didn’t I?”

”Get lost...” Su Mu muttered, blushing with a mix of anger and embarrassment.

”Okay, let’s be serious,”

Xu Yun said. ”If you have the time, work with Li Jinshu to get the company’s renovations and design sorted out. Then hire a few people and pick an auspicious day for the grand opening.

”You heard what’s going on with me lately—I have to entertain my mom’s guest, and on top of that, I’ve signed up for fitness training. I definitely won’t have time to manage the company’s affairs.”
