Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Chapter 87: Chapter 86: I Know I Was Wrong, Can We Get Back Together?

Sorry, my hands are tied!

’Gu Heng should be thanking his lucky stars I haven’t called the tax bureau to kick him while he’s down.’

’The condition is that I must receive my compensation by tomorrow. Otherwise, I won’t just report him; I’ll also tell his wife about his mistress.’

’I have money; I don’t need that little bit. But what’s rightfully mine is mine, and I’ll take every last cent.’

’This is about principle, and it’s also about reclaiming the dignity I lost.’

’Even if he is Su Mu’s cousin, it doesn’t matter!’

However, finding out by chance that Dog Li was also fired did put him in a slightly better mood.

’He doesn’t have a system like I do.’

’He’ll probably have to start sending out his resume everywhere and looking for a job again, ha ha ha...’

Hearing his number called again in the main hall, he got up and walked toward the service window.

Truthfully, he could have paid someone to handle this for him.

But Xu Yun wanted to experience it all himself, from registering the company to its grand opening.

As the final step was completed, Xu Yun successfully registered a company with a capital of one million yuan.

The name was simple—Baiyun Media Co., Ltd. Its primary business scope included event planning, film and television, social media, and so on.

These days, everything was handled as a one-stop service, making the process very efficient.

So, in no time at all, Xu Yun had successfully obtained his company’s business license and its official copies.

”I can’t believe I’m starting my own company.” Although he was just doing it for fun, Xu Yun still felt a thrill of excitement.

’I thought I’d be a wage slave for my whole life, but in a flash, I’m about to become a capitalist.’

’But even as a capitalist, I’ll be one with a conscience.’

’The dragonslayer must never become the dragon he once despised.’

’Nine-to-five workdays, two-day weekends, public holidays—not a single one will be missing!’

’As for overtime?’

’I’ll fire anyone who dares to work overtime!’

Just as his imagination was running wild, the system’s reward notification sounded.

[Life is about constantly trying new things. The Host has done as he pleased and founded his own company. The System will now reward you with 50 million in dedicated startup funds! Note: These funds can only be used for company expenses.]

As the system’s notification faded, Xu Yun’s phone suddenly received a text message.

The company account he had just opened at ICBC, which originally held the one million he had deposited, had just received another transfer of 50 million.

The source was listed as an overseas venture capital firm.

Xu Yun stared at the long string of zeros, his eyes going a little blurry.

’The system is just too generous.’

With this dedicated funding, his company could truly do as it pleased.

Just yesterday, Su Mu was worried he wouldn’t make any money starting a company. He had barely finished registering it, and now he had an extra 50 million in startup capital.

That was more money than he had in his personal account.

As long as he didn’t pursue any massive investments and just covered salaries and daily expenses, even if the company lost money every month, it would probably take a very long time to burn through it all.

By the time he finished up that morning, it was almost noon.

Xu Yun sent a message to Ning Qian and learned that she wasn’t working today and was resting at home.

’I haven’t seen her in two days,’ he thought. ’I’ll go over for lunch and spend some time with her.’

It was all about spreading the love evenly.

Ning Qian was delighted to hear he was coming for lunch. She blew him a kiss over the phone, and after hanging up, she went downstairs to buy groceries.

...

Xu Yun arrived at the residential complex where he used to live, parked his car, and went upstairs.

Just as he reached his apartment door, he saw a familiar woman: Huang Mengyao.

She was wearing all white, sitting on the steps by his front door and looking utterly pitiful.

Seeing Xu Yun return, she stood up and smiled. ”You’re back.”

”What are you doing here?” Xu Yun’s good mood instantly soured.

When you despise someone, you’ll find them ugly even if they’re gorgeous and standing naked in front of you.

It was a psychological aversion.

Facing the ice-cold Xu Yun, Huang Mengyao showed no anger. Instead, she said gently, ”Why did you change the door code? I can’t get in.”

”Duh. We broke up. Of course I was going to change the code. What if you decided to come over and steal something?”

”...” Huang Mengyao was speechless.

Seeing her silence, Xu Yun frowned and asked, ”Spit it out. Why are you here?”

”I was just passing by and wanted to see how you were doing.”

”No need. I’m doing great.”

”No, you’re not doing well at all.”

Huang Mengyao stepped forward, hugged Xu Yun’s arm, and said in a fawning tone, ”Xu Yun, I know I was wrong. Can we get back together, please?

”It was all Wang Qing’s fault. She was the one who bewitched me. Just give me one more chance.

”Let’s forget all the unhappiness from before.”

”You’ve got to be fucking dreaming.”

Xu Yun shook her hand off and sneered, ”Don’t hang around my door. You might give my girlfriend the wrong idea.”

”Girlfriend?”

Huang Mengyao shook her head. ”I don’t believe it. We only broke up a few days ago. It’s impossible for you to have a girlfriend already.”

”Oh, really? Then what does that make me?”

Ning Qian, having just returned from buying groceries downstairs, saw the scene and immediately walked up. ”Miss,” she said, ”please don’t come here and disturb our lives.”

”This is my home.”

”It was.”

Ning Qian had met Huang Mengyao before and knew how Xu Yun felt about her, which made her feel quite bold.

She didn’t give the other woman a pleasant look and shot back, ”It belongs to me and Xu Yun now. If you harass us again, I’m calling the police.”

”Xu Yun?” Huang Mengyao looked at Xu Yun pitifully, hoping to arouse his sympathy or soften his heart.

But Xu Yun wasn’t falling for her act. ”What she said goes for me too,” he said. ”The world doesn’t hand out do-overs.”
