Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Chapter 76: Chapter 76: You Sit in the Back, the Passenger Seat Is for My Woman

Song Xiaowei had been quiet the whole time, and Xu Yun was finding it strangely unsettling.

He asked, ”What’s wrong? It’s not like you to be this quiet.”

”I didn’t know you were this rich.”

Song Xiaowei said with a complicated and somewhat angry expression, ”But why did you lie to me? You said you were just a low-level office worker.”

”I never lied to you.”

Xu Yun replied, ”Being an office worker and being rich aren’t mutually exclusive.”

”Then I really don’t get it. If you’re so rich, why are you wasting your days at a company like ours?”

”I don’t get it either.”

Xu Yun said, ”I guess even I haven’t figured it out yet. The day I do, maybe I’ll leave.”

”Oh.”

”But before I go, you have to pay me back the money you owe.”

”...”

Song Xiaowei’s face instantly flushed red.

A moment later, the dealership’s manager, a middle-aged man, walked over.

”Hello, Mr. Xu.”

The man looked at the incredibly young Xu Yun before him and asked with a smile, ”I heard from Xiaoliu that you want to buy our floor model?”

”Mhm.”

Xu Yun cut straight to the chase. ”Manager, if you’ll sell the car, I’ll buy it. If not, I’m leaving to try the next place.”

”I can tell you’re a straightforward man, Mr. Xu, and that you really like this car.”

The manager hadn’t expected Xu Yun to be so direct; he couldn’t even use the polite pleasantries he had prepared.

He hesitated for a moment before saying, ”But this is our floor model, after all. If we sell it to you, Mr. Xu, we’ll be in a tough spot when other customers come in and we don’t have a car to show them. It’s not that we don’t want to sell it, it’s just that...”

Xu Yun wasn’t some naive kid; he could read between the lines.

’He’s saying this is difficult for him, but not impossible to arrange.’

’In other words, he’ll sell, but I have to show some sincerity.’

’What kind of sincerity?’

’To put it bluntly, he wants me to add more money, or give him an offer he can’t refuse.’

’Pay extra? Not a chance!’

Xu Yun had no intention of indulging this kind of behavior, but he still wanted the car.

”How about this? As long as you guarantee me this Flying Spur, I’m willing to buy another fully-loaded GT on top of it.”

Xu Yun cut in. ”What do you say?”

’It’s not like I’m short on money,’ he thought. ’Since I like them, I might as well buy them both.’

’I can drive the Flying Spur when I go back to my hometown and the Continental GT here in Jiangcheng. I can just switch between the two.’

To be honest, after seeing the Continental GT, his own Porsche 911 was starting to look a bit shabby in comparison.

”...”

Standing beside him, Song Xiaowei was once again left speechless with shock!

To her, it felt like Xu Yun was buying a car worth millions as casually as if he were buying groceries!

’Just how rich is his family?’

”Mr. Xu, are you saying you want to purchase two vehicles from our dealership at the same time?”

The manager froze on the spot when he heard this, unable to believe his ears.

’Just to drive the floor model off the lot today, he’s willing to buy an entire extra Continental GT!’

’This is a Bentley, not a Volkswagen or a Corolla! Even a base Continental GT with options costs around 3.4 million!’

’The two cars together would be over 7 million, minimum!’

’And the crucial part is, he’s paying with private funds, not through a company account.’

’Which family’s young master is this, to be so impulsive?’

’I was just hoping to get him to pay a small premium to drive it off the lot, but who knew he’d drop a bomb like this on me.’

’A pleasant surprise.’

’A very, very pleasant surprise.’

”Yes, of course!”

The manager’s troubled expression vanished instantly. He said cheerfully, ”With a customer as enthusiastic and supportive of Bentley as yourself, Mr. Xu, it would be simply unreasonable of me to refuse.”

After speaking, he turned to Liu Wen and instructed, ”Handle everything just as Mr. Xu requested.”

”Yes, Manager.”

Next, accompanied by the manager, Xu Yun selected a top-of-the-line blue Continental GT.

After the order was placed, the manager excused himself from Xu Yun, leaving Liu Wen to handle the rest of the paperwork.

The commission, of course, would go to her.

He went off to attend to other customers in the dealership.

「Half an hour later.」

All the paperwork for the two cars was completed.

The Flying Spur could be driven off the lot immediately, while the GT would be ready for pickup in half a month.

Xu Yun handed his card to Liu Wen for her to take to the cashier and process the payment.

Looking at the rather unique-looking bank card, Liu Wen was once again taken aback.

He was a Construction Bank Black Card holder.

’She’d only ever seen a card like this once before at the dealership.’

’In fact, most people who bought cars here rarely used personal funds; they usually registered the vehicle under a company name and paid through a corporate account.’

’The reason was simple, really.’

’For one, it was easier to get a license plate. For another, buying a luxury car in a company’s name could be used as a tax write-off.’

’At first, she thought Xu Yun might just be some ordinary rich kid, but now she realized he was anything but ordinary.’

’He could very well be one of Jiangcheng’s hidden, top-tier scions!’

The card swipe went through successfully. A total of 7.53 million spent!

Watching the receipt print from the POS machine, Liu Wen felt her breath catch in her throat.

That was 7.53 million in cash, not 753 dollars!

He said he’d pay in full, and he did it without even blinking.

’Of course, this meant her own hefty commission was secured!’

For every 3.5 million car sold, she made a commission of a little over 30,000. Now that she’d sold two, she would get 70,000!

’In other words, she could basically take it easy for the entire first half of the year.’

Just then, the sound of the system’s reward notification chimed in Xu Yun’s ear.

[Young and successful, driving a Bentley. The Host has once again acted to Do as You Please by purchasing a desired luxury car. Reward: 10,000,000 cash! Current Balance: 13,500,000.]

Hearing the new balance in his bank account, he remained completely unfazed. It was all within his expectations.

That was why he didn’t feel the slightest pang of regret for buying the extra car.

After all, he genuinely liked the car.

It wasn’t his fault the money basically materialized out of thin air—and was only increasing.

Once the paperwork was done and payment was complete, Liu Wen printed out a temporary license plate. Xu Yun then got behind the wheel of the Bentley Flying Spur and, with Song Xiaowei in tow, drove off to get the car officially registered.

As they were leaving, Song Xiaowei started to get into the passenger seat, but a sharp look from Xu Yun stopped her.

”You sit in the back. The passenger seat is for my woman.”

Song Xiaowei: ”...”

On the outside, she acted as if she couldn’t care less, but on the inside, she felt incredibly wronged.

’I’m a girl, after all,’ she thought, ’and he didn’t give me any face at all.’

Back in the dealership, another man, who looked to be in his thirties, watched the floor model being driven away. He turned to the manager beside him and asked, ”Can people just drive cars off the lot immediately after buying them now?”

”No, his was a special case.” The manager then explained the situation to him.

Then, smiling at the man before him, he asked, ”Boss Qin, do you know him?”

”Don’t know him.” The man shook his head.

He couldn’t recall when such an impulsive rich kid had appeared in Jiangcheng.

’But that wasn’t his concern.’

’Right now, his focus was on the woman he was about to meet for a blind date.’

’He’d already seen her photo. She was gorgeous, with the charm of a mature woman, and she had what people called a ’prosperous-husband face’—the kind that brings a man good fortune.’

’She was divorced, but had no children, which was acceptable to him.’

’After all, he’d had a failed marriage of his own.’

’What’s more, he’d heard her family was well-off and had a family business of a considerable size.’

’Bigger than his own factory, at least.’

’If he could win her over, their union would be a powerful alliance. It would be a huge boost to both his personal life and his career.’

’That was why, for this blind date, he had decided to upgrade his car. He’d sold his old one and come here to buy a Bentley.’

’This way, he’d look good in front of her and show off his financial strength at the same time.’
