Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Chapter 80: Chapter 80: Strange, Why Are You Suddenly So Serious Today?

Back in her room, Su Mu noticed Li Jinshu still hadn’t returned and finally remembered something serious.

By her calculations, she was ovulating today.

And they didn’t have any emergency contraception at home.

’What if I end up pregnant?’

Just to be safe, Su Mu had no choice but to get up, open the door, and quietly slip into the elevator to go buy the medicine from the pharmacy downstairs.

At first, she only planned on buying a single pill, but when it came time to pay, she hesitated for a few seconds and bought a whole box instead.

The pharmacist was a middle-aged woman. She looked at Su Mu and offered a kind reminder, ”Young lady, it’s better to have your husband or boyfriend use a condom if you can. Taking too much of this isn’t good for you.”

”Uh, it’s not often, just occasionally,” Su Mu said with an awkward smile before turning to leave.

Just as she reached the main gate of the complex, she saw a delivery driver checking in with security.

They entered the complex together, then the same building, and finally the same elevator.

Su Mu was a woman, after all. Sharing such a small space with a strange man made her feel a little nervous.

She reached out and pressed the button for the 19th floor, then glanced over, wanting to see which floor the delivery driver was going to.

But after a quick glance at the panel, the delivery driver just stood silently beside her, not moving a muscle.

The delivery driver was a little baffled himself.

However, he just thought it was an incredible coincidence.

And since Su Mu was also very pretty, the driver couldn’t help but sneak a few glances at her.

Now Su Mu really started to panic.

’Don’t tell me I’ve actually run into a pervert?’

After all, there were only two apartments on the 19th floor: hers and Xu Yun’s.

Her mind involuntarily started playing out scenes from TV dramas about perverts.

Finally, she worked up the courage to ask him, ”Are you going to the 19th floor, too?”

”Huh? Yes.”

The young driver rarely delivered to such a high-end complex, so he answered her a bit timidly, ”For the resident of 1902.”

’Xu Yun’s food?’

’Didn’t he already eat?’

’Well, at least he’s not a pervert. That’s a relief.’

Breathing a sigh of relief, Su Mu smiled. ”You can give me the food. I’ll take it to him.”

”Okay, thanks.”

The elevator arrived at the 19th floor and the doors opened. Su Mu stepped out, and the delivery driver rode it back down.

Su Mu glanced at the order details.

”’Mr. Mighty?’”

’I can’t believe he actually used a name like that on the app.’

But when she thought back to the fun they’d just had, she couldn’t help but smile. ’He really was pretty ’mighty’, wasn’t he?’

Then she looked at what he’d ordered.

’Is he going to eat all this by himself?’

This was almost enough food for two people. And most importantly, he’d also ordered dessert.

And she remembered that Li Jinshu was also a big fan of this particular dessert.

Su Mu reached out and knocked.

Inside, Li Jinshu had just finished her shower and came out wrapped in a bath towel. When she heard the knock, she said to Xu Yun, ”Hurry and get the door. That must be the food.”

”Okay.”

Xu Yun got up from the living room and walked over. The moment he opened the door, he saw Su Mu standing there holding the food.

Thinking fast,

Xu Yun deliberately raised his voice. ”Sister Su, what brings you here?”

Inside, Li Jinshu, who had just been about to walk over, jumped in fright at the sound of his voice. She immediately spun around and, still barefoot, scrambled back into the bathroom, shutting the door to hide.

”Did you have to be so loud?”

Su Mu shot him a glare, then handed him the bag of food. ”Here’s your delivery. I ran into the driver downstairs, so I brought it up for you.”

”Oh, thanks.”

Su Mu asked, puzzled, ”Didn’t you already eat? Why’d you order more food?”

”Well, I got hungry again after all that... exercise.”

Xu Yun winked. ”You know how it is. That kind of ’activity’ is pretty tiring for a guy. It burns a lot of energy.”

”...” Su Mu was speechless.

”Sister Su, want to come in and join me? I ordered a little too much, anyway. I’m not sure I can finish it all myself.”

”I’m not hungry. You eat.”

’Su Mu didn’t dare go inside. What if he got handsy while they were eating?’

’She’d already slept with him today, which was a tacit acknowledgment of... something between them.’

’If she were alone with him now, she’d be completely defenseless.’

She gave him a wry smile. ”I’m heading back. Remember to move around a bit after you eat. Let your food digest before sleeping so you don’t get an upset stomach.”

”I know. Thanks for your concern, Sister Su.”

After sending Su Mu on her way, Xu Yun closed the door, carried the food into the living room, and called out, ”You can come out now! Su Mu’s gone.”

”You’re not tricking me?”

The bathroom door slid open just a crack, and Li Jinshu’s head peeked out.

Once she confirmed that Xu Yun was the only one there, she finally walked out boldly, even striking what she considered a sexy pose.

Seeing this, Xu Yun laughed. ”I’d advise you to tone it down a bit. Otherwise, I might stop eating this food and start eating you instead.”

”...” Li Jinshu was speechless.

She walked over, sat on the sofa, and asked with concern, ”Susu didn’t notice anything weird, did she?”

”Nope.”

”That’s good. You nearly scared me to death.”

Xu Yun looked at the bathrobe she was wearing and asked, puzzled, ”That’s weird. Why do I have a woman’s bathrobe in my apartment?”

”I bought it.”

Li Jinshu explained, ”When I was buying one for you today, I saw the store was having a sale on matching sets for couples, so I went ahead and bought one for myself to keep here.”

”You’ve certainly made yourself at home. Are you planning on coming over to shower whenever you feel like it?”

”Is there a problem with that?”

”Not at all,” Xu Yun said, opening the food containers. ”Alright, let’s eat before it gets cold.”

”Okay.”

While they were eating, Xu Yun asked, ”Are you going back next door later?”

”Do you want me to go back, or not?”

”I’m fine with either.”

Li Jinshu looked at Xu Yun, a thoughtful expression on her face.

”Why are you looking at me like that?”

”It’s strange. How come you’re being so proper all of a sudden?”

Li Jinshu said, ”You’re not acting like a total lecher.”

...

Xu Yun said with a helpless tone, ”So that’s really the image you have of me, huh?”

”Yep. Boys will be boys.”

Li Jinshu laughed. ”I’m definitely going back later. If I stay the night, I’ll have to come up with another excuse to fool Susu.”

”Oh.”

”But I can go back a bit later.”

Xu Yun raised an eyebrow. ”Are you trying to hint at something?”

”What do you think?”

”In that case, you keep eating. I’m full. I’m going to go practice my exercises for a bit.”

With that, he got up, walked out onto the balcony, and began practicing the Eight Pieces of Brocade.

’Once in the morning and once at night. Can’t skip a session.’

Watching him move like an old man practicing Tai Chi, Li Jinshu couldn’t help but laugh. ”Are you getting an early start on your retirement? I thought only old geezers in the park did this stuff.”

”You think just anyone can be a master lecher?”

Xu Yun teased back, ”Without a strong physique, it’s all just an empty promise. You can pull it out, but it’ll be all for show and no go.”

”Pah!”

Li Jinshu’s face reddened at his words, and she scoffed coquettishly, ”You’re disgusting!”
