Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Chapter 81: Chapter 81: I’ll Tire You to Death

Li Jinshu was right to call Xu Yun a pervert.

Because as soon as dinner was over, Xu Yun dropped all pretense. Without a word, he simply swept her into his arms and carried her toward the bedroom.

This was his own home, so Xu Yun didn’t have to hold back. He went straight for the master bedroom.

There, in the bathtub that even Jiang Peiyao had envied—the one in front of the massive floor-to-ceiling windows—they took a very merry bath together.

It was an experience that truly made Li Jinshu feel ”lewd” herself.

Exercising while looking out at the city’s nightscape was a feeling that couldn’t be compared to doing it in an ordinary bedroom.

After their workout, the two of them soaked in the water.

[Faced with such a nightscape, the Host, by an act of Do as You Please, unlocked a new map and experienced a different kind of pleasure. Reward: 1,000,000 in cash.]

Bank Balance: 14,500,000

Just as Xu Yun was inwardly celebrating the system’s reward of another million, Li Jinshu suddenly bit him on the shoulder.

She bit down rather gently; it didn’t hurt or even itch.

Xu Yun asked in confusion, ”Everything’s fine. Why’d you bite me?”

”You deserved it.”

Li Jinshu said resentfully, ”Look at the nail marks on your back. Who scratched you like that?”

”Didn’t you just do that?”

”Of course not. I’m not that barbaric.”

Li Jinshu pouted. ”Be honest. Besides me, are there other women in your life?”

”I can answer that, but...”

Xu Yun countered, ”In what capacity are you asking me?”

”I...”

Li Jinshu was suddenly at a loss for words.

’Right, what is my relationship with Xu Yun right now?’

’Am I his girlfriend? But what about Susu?’

’What if Susu likes Xu Yun, too? Where would that leave me?’

’Could Su Mu and I even stay best friends?’

She had to admit she liked Xu Yun, but she couldn’t bring herself to have a falling out with Su Mu over him.

Their first time together had been the result of a drunken impulse, after all.

She never expected that after the first time, there would be a second, and then a third.

’And I was the one who said we couldn’t make our relationship official.’

”See? You want to have your cake and eat it too. How can you ask me a question you haven’t even figured out for yourself?”

Xu Yun held her and said gently, ”Sometimes it’s best to just take things one day at a time. Don’t overthink it. When the day comes that you finally know what you want, then we can talk.”

”Then tell me, who is the other woman?”

Li Jinshu asked, ”Is it the woman who was with you when you bought the apartment?”

”I can’t say. Just like how I can’t tell Su Mu about you and me.”

”I’m not the same as her.”

”I don’t think there’s much of a difference.”

Xu Yun then asked a piercing question. ”If I didn’t have money, couldn’t afford sports cars, couldn’t afford a massive penthouse like this, would you still like me?”

”...”

After a moment of silence, Li Jinshu asked, ”Do you think I’m a gold digger? That I only like you for your money?”

”No, I just want to make a point.”

Xu Yun said, ”You can like someone for any reason. Even if you might like me for my money, I honestly don’t mind at all.

Because from my perspective, being rich is one of my good qualities.

After all, for a woman to be with you, you have to have something she’s after, right?”

”You’re certainly open-minded about it,” Li Jinshu said with a helpless smile.

”So, I want to tell you, no matter what your reason is for choosing me, as long as you don’t leave, I can ensure you’ll have a good life. You’ll never have to worry about money again.”

After he finished, Xu Yun stared at Li Jinshu and asked, ”I’m giving you a choice today. Will you stay by my side like this, or go back to how things were before?”

”You just know how to take advantage of me!”

Of course Li Jinshu didn’t want to go back, but...

She didn’t know what she was thinking right now; her feelings were a complete mess.

She wanted to vent the turbulent emotions churning inside her.

Furious, Li Jinshu threw herself at Xu Yun and said through gritted teeth, ”I want more.”

It wasn’t for any other reason than a childish desire to get back at him for the hurt she felt, using the only way she could think of.

’I’ll wear you to death!’

Xu Yun: ”...”

The result was that Xu Yun, who practiced the Eight Pieces of Brocade, didn’t back down an inch. He reenacted a real-life version of Zhao Zilong at the Battle of Changban Slope, charging in and out seven times.

Li Jinshu couldn’t understand how Xu Yun had such boundless energy, as if he were tireless.

In the end, it was Li Jinshu who was so exhausted she couldn’t move, and she fell asleep right there in the bathtub.

Seeing this, Xu Yun worried she might catch a cold. He got up, carried her to the bed, and tucked her under the covers.

Then, he went back out to the balcony by himself.

He sat on the rocking chair, gazing at the distant nightscape and feeling the slightly warm summer evening breeze.

To others, he might have seemed nonchalant about buying this massive penthouse, but the feeling deep inside him was something no one else could understand.

In the traditional mindset of the people of China, a true sense of security comes from having a home.

In a way, his previous apartment never really felt like his own home. He felt more like a tenant paying rent every month.

Living there, he always had a sense of crisis, as if the bank could repossess it at any moment if he failed to make a mortgage payment.

But not anymore. This place was truly and completely his. In this bustling metropolis, he finally had a light of his own.

And it was so large, so luxurious.

This feeling was far more real than the thrill of splurging in bars, buying luxury cars, or purchasing designer goods.

’I’m rich. I’m really, truly rich now.’

In fact, it wasn’t until this very moment that his mindset had finally, completely shifted.

It was like a cycle had completed, coming full circle.

He had a falling out with his ex-girlfriend over an apartment, and now it was an apartment that made him realize he had truly started a new life.

”What are you spacing out about, sitting here all by yourself?” Li Jinshu, now awake and dressed, asked.

She stood behind Xu Yun, leaning down to wrap her arms around his neck.

Xu Yun smiled. ”Nothing much. Just bought a new place, and it made me miss my mom a little.”

Hearing the word ”mom,” Li Jinshu couldn’t help but think of her own parents, and a flicker of sadness crossed her eyes.

”If you miss your mom, you should go visit her.”

Li Jinshu comforted him, ”No one’s stopping you.”

”No rush. I’ll go back for her birthday.” Xu Yun turned his head and asked with a smile, ”Why didn’t you sleep a little longer?”

”Susu just called me. If I don’t go back soon, I’m afraid she’ll call the police to look for me.”

Li Jinshu gave Xu Yun a kiss on the cheek and said caringly, ”I’m heading back then. You should get some rest soon, too.”

”Okay.”

Li Jinshu grabbed her bag, straightened her hair, touched up her lipstick, and then opened the door and walked out.

She took a deep breath, opened the door to Su Mu’s apartment next door, and called out as she went inside, ”Susu, I’m back!”

”You’re finally back.”

Su Mu looked at her, rubbing her eyes. She stood up and said, ”Well, I’m going to bed then. Go wash up and get some sleep. It’s late.”

”Oh.”

After watching Su Mu go into her room, Li Jinshu went to the living room to get some water. Suddenly, she saw a familiar box of medicine on the coffee table.

’When did my medicine end up here?’

She froze for a second, then snatched it up in a panic and shoved it into her bag, her mind racing.

’I hope Su Mu didn’t see it!’
