The Valued Lady is Truly Dominant

Chapter 963: Chapter 963: How Could My Son Be Fake?

Princess Consort Ji was somewhat confused due to her illness, and suddenly dreamed of the past. It was when Ze’er was about eleven or twelve, and a frail child appeared before her, claiming to be Chu Ze.

It was truly laughable; Ze’er was accompanying her on a lake tour at that time, yet such a delusional little beggar emerged, claiming to be Prince Min.

Indeed, once people are wealthy, they encounter all sorts of situations.

At the time, she was both angry and amused, almost having the child killed. It was Ze’er, benevolent as he was, who pleaded for the child’s case, leading only to their expulsion.

Princess Consort Ji opened her eyes, tears sliding down them, and upon seeing the person before her, she smiled.

”Ze’er.”

”Consort, you’re awake. Why are you crying?” Prince Min sat beside the bed, personally taking a handkerchief to wipe her tears.

Princess Consort Ji hoarsely asked, ”Am I crying?”

She touched her eye corners, finding it strange but not dwelling on it, said, ”Consort just had a dream, dreaming of you as a child.”

”Oh?”

Prince Min helped her sit up, placing a large pillow behind her back, saying, ”No matter what you dreamt about, you should drink your medicine first.”

He took the medicine held by the Palace Maid beside him, scooped up a spoonful, blew on it, and brought it to Princess Consort Ji’s face.

Princess Consort Ji felt warm inside, scolding, ”You are a prince worth a thousand gold, how can you be feeding medicine? I still have an epidemic illness; what if it spreads to you?”

”You are my Consort. It’s only natural for a son to care for his sick mother. What’s the harm? I’m not afraid of getting infected, plus, as you see, I’m wearing a scarf.” Prince Min spoke softly.

”That’s still too risky.”

”If I were to catch it, I would have long caught it; anyway, I’m already here, you should quickly take your medicine.”

Princess Consort Ji felt somewhat helpless, obediently drinking the medicine under his care, then wiped her mouth with a handkerchief, her eyes warm as she looked at him, saying, ”Consort dreamed of that year when a little beggar came pretending to be you. It’s truly laughable; how could Consort not recognize her own son?”

Princess Consort Ji touched his face, saying, ”My son is so filial he can personally care for sickness; how could there be a fake? Who else could be as fortunate as Empress Dowager Wang?”

Prince Min chuckled, ”You still remember that. Consort, what if someone again claims this son of yours is false?”

Princess Consort Ji’s eyes widened, ”Who dares say that? Consort would confront them myself. As a mother, how could I mistake my son?” She touched Prince Min’s earlobe, saying, ”You have that small red mole just like your father; how could it be false?”

”Such immense wealth is too easy to fabricate, even small red moles could be created with Dark Technique. In the future, should such a person come claiming to be your Consort, you might drive your son away.”

Princess Consort Ji laughed, ”Listen to your silly words, you can be assured, my son is only you, no one else would I recognize.”

Prince Min tucked her in, saying, ”You’ve spoken enough, you should rest well.”

”Alright, then quickly leave so you don’t catch this illness.” Princess Consort Ji coughed a few times.

Prince Min helped her lie down again, instructing the Palace Maid a few things before leaving, turning back every few steps.

Princess Consort Ji smiled, this is her son, how could there be any mistake?

Yet little did she know, the person she believed to be her son left the room, arrived at an empty area, used a handkerchief to wipe his hands, casually tossed the scarf and handkerchief into a nearby fire basin, and upon hearing a report from behind, sneered contemptuously.

”All fools!”
