The Valued Lady is Truly Dominant

Chapter 83: Chapter 83: What if the Son Refuses to Learn? Beat Him

These days passed, trying hard to recall the original owner’s memories, Song Ci has also grasped the nature of this youngest son.

Growing up privileged, being the youngest and pampered by everyone, it’s inevitable to turn into a little tyrant or a frivolous dandy, but he doesn’t have a bad temperament. He has some sense of justice; not outstanding, but definitely not useless.

No wonder others find him likable.

”Getting married is a lifelong matter. I don’t want to randomly choose a girl for you, after all it’s for a lifetime,” Song Ci patted his head, treating him like a younger brother, and said, ”Don’t rush, you’re a man; marrying later is fine. Let’s find someone suitable.”

Song Zhiyu: ”I’m not in a hurry. It’s just that there seems to be people inviting you to incense?”

”Just going like that? I have to inquire about the girl, otherwise what will people think?” Song Ci said, ”Siliang, have you thought about what kind of wife you want?”

Song Zhiyu thought for a while: ”She must be beautiful, also good at managing a household, and should put me first... Ouch, why did you hit me, Mother?”

Song Ci slapped his arm again: ”I should hit you more. With your abilities, you have so many demands? Beautiful and good at managing a household—fine, but putting you first? How conceited you are. Have you read too many fiction stories?”

Song Zhiyu was very aggrieved: ”Isn’t it right for a wife to adhere to her husband, to consider him paramount?”

”Adhering to her husband, you should know how self-effacing that is for a woman. That girl was brought up pampered by her parents too, and hasn’t eaten your food or drunk your water, so why should she consider you first in everything just because she’s marrying you? Your thinking is incorrect. Do you deserve a beating or not?”

Song Zhiyu: ”...”

Deserve or not, I don’t know, I just know, you don’t care for Siliang anymore.

Seeing his aggrieved little face, Song Ci was both amused and angry, and said, ”Don’t put on that act. I’m just an old bone; how hard can my hits be?”

Song Zhiyu immediately reached out, grinning cheekily: ”Is it because it wasn’t loud enough? How about another go then.”

”Get lost!”

Song Ci glared at him and said, ”Siliang, remember this, your future wife is also someone else’s cherished daughter. She leaves her family to marry you, already full of reluctance and fear. You must love, respect, and cherish her, treat her with empathy. Only in this way will your future days be harmonious and beautiful.”

Song Zhiyu saw her speaking so solemnly, felt a bit flustered, and thus put on a serious expression: ”I’ve remembered it. If you don’t believe me, just keep an eye on whether Siliang can do it.”

Song Ci’s throat choked slightly, her eyes inexplicably warm.

Thinking about the current situation of the Song Family, she added, ”There’s something else you need to be careful about.”

”What is it, Mother?”

”Your elder brother now holds a high position, and many envy and are jealous. Many people are plotting over your marriages and those of your nieces and nephews. When you’re outside, you must be cautious with your words and actions, be extra wary, and don’t let others trap you,” Song Ci said solemnly. ”For example, if a girl falls into water and needs to be rescued, don’t go; let the servant or guard do it; you shouldn’t touch her. Even when going out as a guest, don’t ’get lost’ and walk into any inappropriate places.”

In big mansions, these things are common; she worries her reckless, silly son will fall for it.

Song Zhiyu chuckled: ”Mother, rest assured, I am on guard. I am a smart and talented one, I won’t be easily taken advantage of that way.”

Song Ci: ”...”

Feeling like the son was taught in vain, wanting to hit him, what to do, waiting for help, quite urgent.
