The Valued Lady is Truly Dominant

Chapter 59: Chapter 59: The Incident with the Slightly Biased Grandson

Watching Song Ci and his group leaving, Cui Changxiao tapped his flute in his hand and curled his lips.

”Brother Zhongchu, what are you looking at with such a smile, could it be that you’ve spotted some pretty young lady?” Someone patted Cui Changxiao’s shoulder and called out his courtesy name.

Cui Changxiao turned around, saw the person who had come, cupped his hands, and with a smile said, ”Oh, nothing much, I just feel it’s nice to go out once in a while.”

”Oh?”

”I met the old madam from the Prime Minister’s Mansion, she seems like quite an interesting person.” Cui Changxiao said with a laugh and hooked his arm around his friend’s shoulder: ”Come on, let’s go eat at Yipinxiang too.”

The old madam seemed to have said something like this, ”gan fan,” quite an amusing term, perhaps it means to eat a meal?

...

Yipinxiang.

Song Ci, a bit reluctantly, put down his chopsticks, took the handkerchief Hongtao handed him, wiped the corners of his mouth, and then wiped his hands before putting it down.

”Yipinxiang truly lives up to its name, the food is excellent. Unfortunately, my stomach is uncooperative, and I can’t eat much.”

Song Ci sighed lightly, this body can only handle small meals multiple times a day, a large quantity is absolutely unbearable.

Nanny handed over a cup of tea and said, ”If you like it, we can come again next time, but don’t overeat, it’s hard to digest.”

”Indeed.” Song Ci pointed at a dish of vinegar fish: ”This fish is good, the flesh is tender, and the vinegar sauce is perfectly balanced between sweet and sour. Hey, little chubby, don’t overeat.”

Song Lingzhou looked up and grinned: ”Grandmother, I’m not overeating.”

His wet nurse, Mrs. Du, took a handkerchief to help him wipe his hands and chimed in with a smile: ”Madam, the young master could eat two large bowls of white rice when he was in Shanxi.”

”No wonder you’ve grown as round as a ball.” Song Ci pinched his firm little arm and said, ”For a healthy lifestyle, eat less but more often, being 70% full is enough.”

Hearing this, Song Lingzhou put down his chopsticks; he was determined to grow up tall and handsome.

Song Ci looked at her other two granddaughters, and when she put down her chopsticks, both of them had already put theirs down and were sipping tea.

”Have you eaten well?” she asked with a smile, ”Do you want to go for another stroll? How about buying some new clothes for you?”

Song Ruqi put down her tea and said, ”Grandmother, aren’t you tired after being out for so long? Why not go back and rest?”

”It’s rare to come out, and we’ve only visited one Shangzhen House, it would be disappointing to go back just like that. A little more walking won’t hurt. Besides, this tiredness isn’t too bad; old people don’t need to sleep too much, there will be plenty of long days ahead for resting and sleeping.”

Understanding her words, Song Ruqi fell silent, pursing her lips, and suddenly felt a bit unhappy.

”If grandmother isn’t tired, how about we visit a dessert shop?” Song Lingzhou suggested brightly: ”Before coming to the capital, I heard that the Imperial Dessert Pavilion’s treats are extraordinary, and it’s even named by the Heavenly Family.”

Song Ruqi: ”Fourth Brother, you only care about eating and eating, don’t you have anything else you want to do?”

”Food is the paramount necessity, I am determined to taste all the delicious foods in the world.” Song Lingzhou declared proudly.

Song Ruqi laughed: ”If you eat all over the world, you’ll never have a chance with the tall, rich, and handsome gentlemen grandmother talks about.”

Hearing this, Song Lingzhou’s face fell: ”That’s indeed a problem.”

The food is so delicious, it’s too hard not to eat it, but he also wants to be tall, rich, and handsome, oh, how should he choose?

Little Song Lingzhou faced his first dilemma in life.

Song Ci laughed and said: ”If you want to enjoy delicious food and also become handsome, then practice martial arts; it can burn a lot of energy and work off your chubbiness.”

Song Lingzhou’s eyes lit up: ”That could work.”

Song Ruwei, listening on the side, was a bit anxious, thinking that Brother Zhou should study and take the imperial examinations, how could he become a martial artist? Grandmother seemed to be leading her brother astray.
