I AM the Football Star

Chapter 140: Chapter 55: The Second Captain, Lu!

The Star of Italy brought Lu Yang not only Italian popularity and the favor of Mr. Arsenal Winter.

It also brought a hat-trick random pack and a Star of Italy big pack.

The random pack revealed Player-level Skill, Side Road Fast Horse.

Side Road Fast Horse: When you’re sprinting on the side road, like a runaway horse, unstoppable.

”Ding, you opened the Star of Italy big pack and acquired Player Skills, Fish Leaping Header, On-Field Core, and Planet Level Skill, Bell’s Outer Line Overtaking.”

”Fish Leaping Header: It can make your front header more powerful, increasing your heading range and success rate.”

”On-Field Core: You’re the pillar of the team, when you’re on the field, all teammates’ abilities are increased by five percent.”

”Bell’s Outer Line Overtaking: You will inherit the ability of the fastest left-side player, running like the wind, especially when there are other players nearby, you will become faster.”

Three abilities, no Moment Card, not a big explosion.

But... isn’t Bell’s overtaking better than a Moment Card?

As we all know, Bell’s memorable match saw him demolish the then-called world’s number one right-back Maicon, and Maicon never recovered since.

And at that time, Bell was playing as a left-back.

His speed became famous because of that match.

Unlike others’ speed, Bell’s speed is not afraid of confrontation. This is one of the important factors why he repeatedly performed overtaking scenes.

This is also a different point for Lu Yang compared to Vedian, Arnold, and even Bai Zhami.

He can welcome the opponent’s physical contact at high speed.

This is a very terrifying ability.

And ”Bell’s Overtaking” enhances this advantage for Lu Yang.

From then on, some of Lu Yang’s attributes have changed significantly.

Heading increased from 60 to 65, surpassing 63 and directly jumping to 65, showing a secondary increase, presumably due to the speed bringing about heading transformation.

After all, among various attributes, some are single, while others can be influenced by multiple factors.

Speed 67-70

Eruption 67-70

Foot Power 65-67

Strength 63-65

Balance 70-72

Tight Ball Control 60-63

Similarly, after using Son Heung-min’s Moment Card, Lu Yang received a Moment Card gift.

Data growth is also abnormal.

Offensive Positioning 60-62

Dribbling 67-70

Ball Control 65-67

Shooting 67-70

Curvature 60-62

Speed 70-72

Eruption 70-72

Foot Power 67-70

Jumping 60-63

Balance 72-74

Tight Ball Control 63-65

Regarding speed attributes, Lu Yang already has a preliminary advantage.

From now on, he will no longer only rely on a physical advantage in the last ten minutes of a match to have a certain speed advantage.

All units take note, Little Sotu has successfully sped up, Lu Tank is approaching you!

...

At the San Remo Training Ground.

All twenty-plus players gathered.

Sotu dressed in a suit, looking very stylish.

”Welcome to San Remo! I’m Sotu, the head coach of the team. You can call me Mr. Sotu, or boss, or chief.” Sotu began, ”Of course, I prefer to hear the chief.”

”Alright boss.” Latu Yidi replied.

Several players couldn’t hold back laughter.

Latu Yidi and Sotu have been in the same team before, as Sotu’s junior.

Hence the title ”boss” is deeply rooted in him.

After all, everyone calls the head coach ’chief’, who dares to call a player ’chief’?

Isn’t that a rebellion?

Now due to a slip of the tongue, it became a joke.

”Okay, then let’s start with you. Lads, this is the super star from Serie A giants AC Milan, Latu Yidi!” Without rigidity, Sotu immediately indicated for Latu Yidi to introduce himself.

”Hello everyone, I’m Sandro Rauti, playing as a defensive midfielder. Many people think I’m here at San Remo for retirement, but actually, no. For real retirement, I would consider matches in Asia, where the intensity is low, wages are high, simply a paradise.” Latu Yidi explained, ”Everyone knows Coach Sotu was my big brother back then.”

”He told me his team has a bunch of young players who lack major match experience and a championship mentality. I am here to help these young people, get them accustomed to winning championships, accustomed to victory, and accustomed to large-scale events!”

”We will only stay in the Italian Third Division for one year, just one year!”

Latu Yidi, undoubtedly a veteran, immediately grabbed the interest of everyone and tore apart the label the media had stuck on him previously.

Retirement?

Even if it was true, it couldn’t be said aloud.

Soon, self-introductions circled around, whether newcomers or seasoned players, all met each other.

And Lu Yang also familiarized himself with all the new team’s signings.

Of course, relationships need time to develop, he just remembered the names.

”By the way, after discussions with team captain Rondo, we have a decision to announce here.” Sotu suddenly looked at Lu Yang and smiled, ”From today, Lu Yang will become the team’s vice-captain!”

With these words, the field fell silent.

Lu Yang just turned seventeen a few days ago, and he’s the vice-captain?

This...

A young captain!

But soon, applause erupted.

Because no one questioned this decision.

New players, of course, need not say, what qualifications do they have to question?

Veteran players?

After witnessing Lu Yang’s performance last season, how could anyone be unconvinced?

Look at Lu Yang’s data, and his position and performance on the field, this vice-captain role is well-deserved.
