I AM the Football Star

Chapter 129: Chapter 51: The Final Battle!

Once he was marked out, the Star of Italy Team had no threat other than attacking from the flanks.

But Sevajos still lacks the ability to break through strong defense tactics.

He was frozen.

The Star of Italy Team began to have no midfield.

After they got the ball, the only thing they could do was distribute it to the left and right wingers.

But Bai Zhami’s collaboration was poor, often rushing forward and then losing the ball.

Parrot is not a traditional winger either, not very strong in dribbling breakthroughs.

For a while, the Star of Italy Team’s offense was at a stalemate.

The first half ended with Arsenal leading one to zero.

In the fiftieth minute of the second half, Arsenal scored another goal.

The lack of offensive capability from the Star of Italy allowed Arsenal to completely not worry about defense, making their offense smoother.

”They did their best, but this is the normal performance young players should have when facing strong opponents.” Winter sat on the coach’s bench, as if nothing was worth him stepping into the coaching command zone.

Not even the two goals from Arsenal.

This is the level Arsenal should have, which Winter had long anticipated.

What is Winter known as?

The best mentor for young players in European football!

Many young stars were scouted and developed by him!

It’s even said that the now British top young star Mancini was almost signed by Winter back then.

So Mancini knows young players’ games better than anyone.

Young players standing out in matches depends on the situation.

Some young players mature earlier, possessing the ability to surpass players of the same age group early on.

Therefore, they can dominate in matches.

Examples of such players include Aguirre and the like.

Other players excel because they have certain abilities, like speed, that surpass those of the same age group.

And there are players who, because they have a tactical understanding beyond their age group, can perform to 200% of their ability, crushing others.

But, apart from the second type, the first and third types are not truly talented players.

The first type may only have the ceiling of an average player.

The third type might not even play in high-level matches.

Therefore, when facing high-level games, young players’ talent is often more easily captured.

This is why Sir Ferguson signed C Luo after the match against Sporting Lisbon, because even in high-level games, that young boy was still so dazzling.

That is what makes a superstar prospect.

And unfortunately, among the Star of Italy Team, there doesn’t seem to be such a prospect.

”Sevajos is half of one; his technical characteristics reach true genius level. But his physique... or rather, his courage doesn’t match the same level.” Winter analyzed with the assistant coach beside him, ”This is a real gamble, whether he can play out ultimately depends on whether he can overcome his timid character.”

”And as far as I know, unless facing major life changes, a player’s mentality rarely changes significantly.”

Winter was somewhat disappointed; in fact, he came this time hoping to take away some potentially talented players.

But now it seems, his trip was in vain.

”Parrot’s ability is decent, but he’s already twenty-two, nearing maturity. I have high hopes for his performance in the Portuguese Super League next season, but I’m not optimistic about him becoming a Premier League star.” Winter analyzed one by one, ”Sogel is even further off, and he actually lacks complete experience in lower-tier league matches, which is very fatal. He’s like a greenhouse flower, with no bright future unless he gets a strong boost.”

”Versachi’s abilities are too balanced, making him ordinary. At most, he will become an average player in the Five Major Leagues.”

”Bai Zhami lacks tactical talent completely; no top-level team suits him, and he cannot stand in the Five Major Leagues level matches.”

”Lam’s height is too fatal; unless he grows eight centimeters taller, there’s no way he can play in the Premier League. His height is definitely not over 185 centimeters!”

”Canyes, as a right-back, can’t even do his basic job of defending well. He might excite fans occasionally, but mostly he brings disappointment. He’s not suited for big clubs, as big clubs cannot afford to lose!”

”Morici’s physique isn’t up to par, and his playstyle is too opportunistic. He’s better at quick attacks than traditional organization, and a true midfield organizer can’t seek speed. He’s using speed to cover up his inadequate control of the midfield. At best, his future might be the core midfielder of a lower-tier league. It’s difficult for him to enter the Five Major Leagues unless there’s a shift in future football trends.”

”As for Lu Yang... his defense is solid, at a standard lower-tier league level. But beyond that, he seems to have no advantages. Maybe his ball control is slightly better than ordinary defenders because he was previously a defensive midfielder, but this level of ball control is still lacking for midfield play. I’m more inclined to believe that their first match was driven by adrenaline from anger, resulting in a performance they cannot replicate!”

With Winter’s words,

the match reached the sixty-second minute.

Lu Yang successfully activated the first layer of the Perpetual Motion Machine effect.

Versachi passed the ball to Lu Yang, and this left-back actually took the ball down the wing for a breakthrough.

An Arsenal midfielder came up to defend against Lu Yang.
